Arguably, 2024 could be seen as a turning point, marked by the resurgence of both warfare and community engagement. With its fair share of eventful occurrences, as well as quiet moments, we as a community have come a long way this year. As we reflect on these past twelve months, let us take a moment to revisit the milestones, events, and growth that have defined the army community this year.

JANUARY
Words by: Edu14463
The year kicked off with a massive war already taking place: the Christmas Crusade, featuring the Elite Guardians, assisted by their allies – the Winged Hussars -, against the United Front Alliance, which consisted of the Army of Club Penguin, Coup Crusaders, People’s Imperial Confederation, and the Templars. While the war was going on in a back-and-forth clash score-wise, the Water Vikings declared EGCP as enemies. Nonetheless, as Da Best was introduced as the new Crusaders’ leader, the Guardians signed a peace treaty with them, as CC wanted to withdraw from the conflict. After a few extra days of relentless clashes and negotiations, all armies involved sat down and signed a peace treaty marking the end of the war. Even though no official winner is recognized, this war was an outstanding victory for the Guardians, as the war score ended in a 15-0-12 in their favor.
Furthermore, January also saw the announcement of the 2023 Legends Inductions and Person of The Year. To nobody’s surprise, both awards were claimed by Calgocubs21, who was the sole individual to be inducted as a Major Army Legend. In addition, the community witnessed the Penguins of Madagascar celebrate their very first anniversary; former Chief Executive Producer Mchappy officially introducing Club Penguin Armies‘ Memorable Members, and AustinFraud retired from ACP after a successful stint.
By the end of the month, another war broke out: the Wojna Prestiżowa between the Confederates and the Hussars. This war was an interesting one, considering the Hussars held the advantage in terms of battle score. Regardless, they did not have enough stamina to carry the war for long. The last weekend of January also saw the second iteration of New Year Bonanza happen, featuring exciting battles. It culminated in the victory of the Clovers, who defeated the Rebel Penguin Federation in the overtime room.
FEBRUARY
Words by: Spinister
February saw the conclusion of the Wojna Prestiżowa war in the People’s Imperial Confederation‘s favor, with the two participating armies: Winged Hussars and the Confederation forming an official alliance soon after. This was not the only bond to be formed as Special Weapons & Tactics allied with the Dark Vikings. However, the Agents were soon struck with controversy as multilogging offenses within the army were discovered. A while after their withdrawal from the Christmas Crusade, the Coup Crusaders officially merged into the Army of Club Penguin.
Elsewhere, numerous changes within the leadership of armies were observed, as Elexonck, Mabel, Belga, Yoda, Sidie9, and Coolguy retired from RPF, WV, EGCP, HF, PIC and ACP respectively, while on the other hand, Ugly (ACP), gabgeirl (RPF), Mocha (POM), Saber (PIC), Jojoteri (PIC), and SavageCobra (EGCP) took up the charge as leaders of their respective armies. Meanwhile, the Rebels held their annual Olympics, with the Clovers holding an ally week, and the judging organization Club Penguin Army Judges officially completed two years of its existence.
MARCH
Words by: Snork
The month began with an announcement regarding the first round of March Madness IX, where eight armies were ready to compete in this renowned tournament. Only a few days in, Mei was inducted as the newest Commander of the Water Vikings, rounding out the army’s “quadrumvirate” of leaders. The second weekend of March saw the Army of Club Penguin, WV, Elite Guardians, and the Rebel Penguin Federation proceed to the Semifinals of March Madness.
The People’s Imperial Confederation was upgraded to Major after several victories as a Small/Medium army in previous months and continued growth. Multiple figures earned recognition within their armies, with Lass and Fitsuki becoming Legends in EGCP, and Coolguy being awarded ACP’s Silver Medal. The Help Force celebrated turning six this month with an anniversary event.
Four armies battled it out in the Semifinals of March Madness IX. The Rebels had a solid victory over EGCP, winning all rooms, and WV beat ACP in a similar fashion. Sweater retired from PIC after almost seven months as a leader and was inducted as a PIC Legend. The Dark Pirates sailed back onto the scene after going on hiatus in 2023, with Ninja Leader back at the helm.
March Madness IX concluded on the 23rd with a final showdown between the Rebels and the Vikings, and the Guardians against the Clovers. EGCP defeated ACP to earn third place in the tournament. Both WV and RPF won rooms in the battle, but only one could be the winner. Winning two rooms, the Water Vikings were announced as the winners of this year’s March Madness.
Towards the end of the month, the Winged Hussars lost Lady Eden as she stepped down from the army’s leadership, settling into an advisory role. After a month of relative peace, PIC shook things up by declaring war on the Penguins of Madagascar. To finish off March, Club Penguin Armies provided an update on the upcoming map, providing a preview of its design, and an estimate that it would be released in mid-April.
APRIL
Words by: Kiltanon
Arguably the most important event of April was the Templars inducting Sidie9 as Leader. On April 7, Sidie was silently inducted as LiT. The result of this induction was the Water Vikings declaring war upon TCP. This resulted from World War IX and the brief war between the two sides some time ago. Only three days following Sidie’s introduction to the army, she was promoted to Leader. TCP felt confident in Sidie’s ability to lead, as she had previously served both the People’s Imperial Confederation and the Army of Club Penguin.
Our second major event of April was PIC’s victory over Penguins of Madagascar in the April Ambush. On March 27, the Confederation declared war on PoM, with a total of seven battles of place. PIC declared war with hopes of improving their armies capabilities, as well as providing experience to troops. The Confederates did not lose a single battle throughout the war, declaring victory on April 6. This led to the signing of the ‘April Agreement’, concluding the war.
Another highlight of April was CPA’s new map. Following a map reset seven months prior, a new map was launched. The map featured 90 Legacy servers and a total of 250 servers. Df44 worked tirelessly creating graphics and geography for the map. Following the map’s introduction, there was a Capital server draft, allowing each army to choose their capital. This also introduced a series of Freeland invasions, coupled with the grace period which gave armies the chance to accrue land, without the fear of war.
We also saw the intense Sluttpådawn War ended on April 23. The conflict between WV and TCP ended in a Crusaders victory with a score of 15-0-5 [W-T-L]. However, only three days later, the Army of Club Penguin declared war on the Vikings. The Dawn of Godwinson, as the conflict was dubbed, ended with a score of 12-1-1 for the Vikings. Other notable events included the closure of the Dark Vikings, following an expose released by former leader Thunder222 outlining errors carried out by army leader, Krosive. Eventually, the army succumbed to internal conflicts, with the last event being held on March 24.
Our final key event of April was the war between Special Weapons and Tactics and PIC. The Confederates claimed they had already claimed victory over all other S/M armies, therefore deciding to war against another. PIC claimed they had suffered slander and insults from SWAT, as well as the allowance of Klutzy to remain in the army. For these actions, they declared war upon SWAT. The war did not last long, with a final score of 3-0-0 [W-T-L] for PIC. On May 3, a peace treaty was signed. The treaty also mentioned an “opportunity for further peace” for the two armies.
MAY
Words by: Robot
May 2024 brought excitement and change to the CPA community. Early in the month, People’s Imperial Confederation and SWAT engaged in a brief war, which ended after five days. During this time, Help Force promoted BEASTO to leader, setting the stage for their future success. Meanwhile, the Media Team announced the Media Member of the Month, recognizing outstanding contributions within the community.
As the Army of Club Penguin vs. Water Vikings war escalated, SWAT made headlines when the Dark Pirates ended their alliance with them. This announcement coincided with the Dark Pirates’ first anniversary celebrations, marking a key milestone. Around the same time, CPA launched the groundbreaking “Around the World Cup,” adding thrilling battles to the month. The Elite Guardians’ war against the Templars concluded with EGCP’s victory. However, CPA later released a retrospective post investigating the Guardians’ behavior during the conflict.
The second half of May began with the launch of the server map, which reshaped strategic battles across the community. Shortly after, the Rebel Penguin Federation celebrated its 17th anniversary, demonstrating its enduring influence. In leadership news, Shrekkks retired from the Dark Pirates. The Around the World Cup dominated the remaining weeks, featuring notable clashes like ACP vs. HF. By the month’s end, anticipation peaked for the tournament’s final, set for early June, where ACP would face EGCP in a highly anticipated showdown.
JUNE
Words by: Jewl
June 2024 was a defining month for Club Penguin Armies, packed with intense competitions, major leadership changes, and vibrant community events. The month began with the highly anticipated Around the World Cup, where the Elite Guardians and the People’s Imperial Confederation claimed victory, demonstrating their strength and teamwork. Meanwhile, the Ice Warriors celebrated their 17th anniversary with a grand event attended by 99 penguins, a remarkable comeback following their earlier absence from the league due to past controversies. Diplomatic progress also defined the month, as the Elite Guardians and People’s Imperial Confederation signed a non-aggression pact to prioritize peace and collaboration after a period of friction.
Significant leadership changes shaped the armies this month. Nicky and Moon, key leaders of the Templars, retired on June 5 due to personal and academic commitments. Their departure marked the end of an era for the Templars, but the army continued its operations. Dino of the Water Vikings announced his retirement after a notable 22-month tenure, citing the need to focus on personal well-being and step away from the toxicity he had experienced within CPA. Rye Bread succeeded Cabin as the new leader of the Water Vikings, stepping up to guide the army into a new chapter. Snork’s return to the Winged Hussars’ leadership brought further stability, with plans to lead actively through the summer before stepping back for academic reasons. The Army of Club Penguin strengthened its leadership by inducting Roxy, joining Ugly in leading the army during the ongoing Legends Cup XIV.
Community events were at their peak, fostering inclusivity and engagement. The annual Community Pride Parade on June 15 set attendance records, celebrating Pride Month in a colorful and spirited way. The return of the Aliens under the leadership of Tena, Suvi, and Bestpenguin brought new energy to the scene, while the Squids revived their second generation, ready for fresh challenges.
Wars and conflicts added intensity to the month’s narrative. The server map, introduced on June 9, sparked territorial disputes and strategic battles. The Templars showcased their dominance by defeating SWAT in nine consecutive battles, ultimately capturing their capital, Outback, and enforcing a force treaty. The Winged Hussars declared war on the Dark Pirates, engaging in a series of fierce battles before emerging victorious and seizing key servers. The Squids, despite their revival, faced challenges as the Elite Guardians launched an invasion following the Squids’ defeat in the Legends Cup Qualifiers. Amidst the hostilities, some conflicts ended amicably, such as the peace treaty signed between the Elite Guardians and the Water Vikings, which concluded their war after less than a week of battles. The double-elimination Legends Cup XIV reignited competitive spirit, with the Rebel Penguin Federation, Help Force, Water Vikings, and Elite Guardians advancing past the first round. This legendary tournament, starting earlier than in previous years, brought armies together in a display of skill and determination.
As the month drew to a close, the community reflected on its achievements and challenges. The People’s Imperial Confederation regained major army status for the second time this year, highlighting their resilience and growth. Meanwhile, the Templars, embroiled in conflicts, experienced a temporary drop to the small-medium classification, reflecting the fluctuating fortunes of armies during periods of transition. June 2024 was a month of milestones, growth, and transformation for Club Penguin Armies. With key tournaments underway, fresh leadership taking charge, and the community coming together through events and battles, the stage is set for an exciting summer ahead
JULY
Words by: Riri
July began shortly after the conclusion of the first round of Legends Cup XIV, with the announcement of details for Round 2. Around the same time, the community celebrated the 2-year anniversary of Club Penguin Armies. This month also marked the start of the Centenary Solstice War, where the Army of Club Penguin faced off against the Elite Guardians of Club Penguin in the first few battles.
Leadership changes were a major highlight in July, with Kobi rising to the leadership position of the People’s Imperial Confederation. Additionally, the Help Force was pitted against the Rebel Penguin Federation in the Legends Cup XIV finals, securing a dominant victory. Jojo and Shpec were promoted to Head Judges of Club Penguin Army Judges, further shaping the army community.
The month also saw several new armies joining CPA, including the Blizzard Battalion and the Vanguard Penguin Federation. SWAT celebrated its 15th anniversary, marking a major milestone. Meanwhile, Fwapo and Zooy were inducted as Commanders of SWAT, solidifying their leadership. Sidie was crowned Empress of the Templars, adding another leadership change to the mix.
The Spartans also made their mark by joining CPA, contributing to the ongoing expansion of the army community. In addition, on July 7 the community witnessed the Secret Service reopen its doors. Three days after its revival, the Sapphire Concordat – composed of ACP, TCP, and PIC – jointly declared war on the Service. This war was composed of a single battle: the Battle of Migrator. The Concordat was successful in the war, defeating SS in the overtime room. Overall, July was a month of significant growth and transitions, with armies continuing to evolve and strengthen their positions in the community.
AUGUST
Words by: Diwix
August 2024 started amidst the Legends Cup with the newly revived Secret Service attaining major status following an impressive campaign of success. Shortly after, the community witnessed the International United Armies alliance permanently shut down. Two days later, the Help Force was crowned the winner of the Legends Cup XIV tournament, successfully defeating the Rebel Penguin Federation for a second time in the tournament. This followed Chief Executive Producer, Mchappy, retiring from his position in Club Penguin Armies, with Mare as his replacement to run the organisation.
In the meantime, the Elite Guardians of Club Penguin completed a week of the Operation: Caesar war against the Army of Club Penguin, taking the lead with a war score of 9-8 in their favor. Further into the month, the Aliens propelled to a cosmic rise to Major status, with the Media Members of July being released. The Winged Hussars welcomed their new leader, Mrs Potts, as the Water Vikings farewelled their leader Mei. The People’s Imperial Confederation welcomed Kobi in their leadership, which followed the departure of Shalissa. BScharbach2 had also quietly exited Secret Service leadership. Amidst this, the Aliens formed an alliance with the Help Force, rekindling their past relations.
The community then witnessed multiple wars as the Help Force declared on the People’s Imperial Confederation and the Secret Service declared on the Winged Hussars. The Scars of Club Penguin reopened its doors during this, forming multiple alliances shortly after, while the Water Vikings returned after their temporary lockdown. As the Help Force was engaged in their war, The Protectors of The Forest shut down. This was followed by the Vanguard Penguin Federation shutting down. The Operation: Caesar’s war reached 70 battles, with the Army of Club Penguin leading 39-1-30. Eros joined the Blizzard Battalion leadership with Racecar4 making a return to Templars Leadership. Special Weapons and Tactics declared war on the Scars of Club Penguin shortly after their reopening, while the Aliens re-allied with SWAT and Secret Service following their alliance shutdown earlier in the month.
The Help Force formed a peace treaty with the People’s Imperial Confederation and was quickly met with a war declaration by the Templars of Club Penguin. Briefly into this war, Help Force leader ROOBOO was removed from leadership and the Help Force-Templars conflict ceased under a peaceful agreement. The Secret Service ended their war with the Hussars and immediately declared on the Templars while inducting Logical as their latest leader. The Beach Brawl IV kicked off towards the end of the month after the Scars of CP-SWAT war came to an end with a forced treaty. Caitlin was newly inducted as the next leader of the People’s Imperial Confederation, with Lord Romeo joining the Blizzard Battalion leadership. The Rebel Penguin Federation hosted its Summer Olympics for 2024. The Operation: Ceasar War ended on August 30 with a total of 104 battles. The final battle was the Army of Club Penguin’s invasion of Zero Grau, sealing their victory.
SEPTEMBER
Words by: Mare
Throughout the month of September, the community witnessed multiple changes. Although the month is known for the “September Drop,” it was filled with wars, celebrations, and exciting events. The month began with the conclusion of the War of Vengeance between the Secret Service and the Templars. During this war, the Templars decided to add new faces within their leadership including Dawn, Moon, Nicky, and Legoman. However, a day later the Templars decided to surrender. A treaty was signed between both armies, marking the war’s end after a full week of battles, in the Secret Service’s favor.
As this occurred, a couple of days into September, the Spartans declared war against the Scars of Club Penguin. This conflict took place off-map, as neither army held any land. The decision to declare war stemmed from SCP leader 54x badmouthing the Spartans and classifying them as a frail army. The war ultimately ended in the Scars’ favor with a mutual agreement between both sides. Shortly after, the Clovers and Secret Service made the strategic decision to sign a Non-Aggression Pact. Recognizing their existing conflicts, both armies agreed it was more prudent to focus on other plans during the September Drop rather than escalate tensions further.
Another significant turn of events in September was the Army of Club Penguin‘s announcement to part ways with their longtime allies, the Templars. This decision came after allegations arose within the community regarding the Templars’ founder, Xing. The Army of Club Penguin’s leader, Roxy, stated that, due to the Templars’ lack of action to address the situation, the army would end the alliance but remain neutral.
Still only a few days into September, the community also witnessed allies at war, involving the Winged Hussars and the Elite Guardians of Club Penguin. Amid the ongoing tensions between the Secret Service and the Templars, multiple scandals surfaced, including leaked voice chats. One of these voice chats revealed a Templars leader encouraging others to declare war on the Hussars. In response, the Hussars took preemptive action to defend themselves against a potential attack.
Wars continued to brew throughout the month, showing that September was not as quiet as usual. The Rebel Penguin Federation declared war on the Secret Service, dubbing it the Autumn Tundra War. The Rebels’ reasoning for the declaration stemmed from hearing about the Secret Service plotting behind their backs. They noticed that the SS was strengthening its diplomacy by securing alliances and tried to negotiate one with their allies. RPF felt this was happening due to the possibility of the SS leaving the Rebels without support if they declared war on them.
As the month progressed, several new armies joined the community, introducing fresh faces. These armies included the Church of Aurora, Brownie4s of Club Penguin, Nether Knights of Club Penguin, and Weeknds of Club Penguin. September also saw the Blizzard Battalion shut down due to allegations against a former leader, Romeo. Additionally, there were also leadership transitions, for instance, Lass stepping down as an EGCP leader and Aisha being announced as the newest Secret Service leader. Moreover, both ACP leaders, Roxy and Ugly, were honored with the prestigious Silver Medal Award in the Clover’s Army, recognizing their dedication and continuous hard work within the army.
As new transitions unfolded within the community, another significant announcement was made- The Club Penguin Armies would be hosting the Summer Gala, Project Conquest: Blood Bowl, offering something exciting for the community to look forward to. Meanwhile, Special Weapons and Tactics also hosted an exciting Olympics tournament, encouraging troop engagement. Several armies also celebrated anniversary milestones The Aliens marked their Sixth Anniversary, maxing 40 penguins, while the Clovers celebrated their 18th Anniversary. During their anniversary event, the Army of Club Penguin reached a milestone, maxing 61, which was the highest they had achieved that year. However, the event took an unexpected turn when they were raided by the Secret Service, Elite Guardians, and Special Weapons and Tactics.
September also saw a few armies changing their status between Major and Small/Medium. One such army was the People’s Imperial Confederation, which dropped back down to Small/Medium status after achieving Major status on June 16, 2024. Meanwhile, the Templars also experienced a change in status, dropping to Small/Medium after having been Major since July 21, 2024.
OCTOBER
Words by: Tulip
For the month of October, we saw multiple armies participating in special tournaments, new leaders, and more exciting things. This was one of the most eventful months in 2024.
First, we saw Special Weapons and Tactics, Elite Guardians of Club Penguin, and the Secret Service disguise a raid against the Army of Club Penguin as an “Olympics” event. This scene caused a lot of mixed reactions from the Club Penguin Armies community. In the next few days, the Winged Hussars and EGCP ended The War of F-ing Around with a treaty. We also saw our beloved Club Penguin Journey shut down, following some accusations and controversies. Our reporting team also established a Spooky Story contest, where people got creative with their unique spooky stories.
Following this, we saw the Nether Knights of Club Penguin, and Church of Aurora close. After this, we saw another army rise up, which was the Weeknds of Club Penguin. Then, the Blood Bowl was announced, and multiple armies acquired and fought for the special Freeland to try and receive the Blood Bowl Trophy. There was also an added twist to the tournament, which added more competition. Shortly after, the Crystals of Club Penguin opened. Multiple people stepped down from their army and head judge positions, such as 54x leaving Scars leadership, and Popcorny stepping down as a Head Judge. The People’s Imperial Confederation has its five-year anniversary as an army. The Rebel Alliance Commando officially became an army shortly after, then we saw EGCP celebrate its seventh anniversary. A few days after PIC celebrated their anniversary, we saw three leaders step down from leadership.
We saw a new Head Youtuber in the month of October, in which Lulu was promoted to this position. EGCP closes their army after a coup of one of their leaders. We saw the Secret Service celebrate its fourth anniversary, and Fuzzhead4 was crowned as Aliens‘ 10th leader. A little bit after the Secret Service’s anniversary, they officially decided to retreat from the Autumn Tundra War against the Rebel Penguin Federation. The Spartans of Club Penguin closed, and the Phantom Republic of Club Penguin declared war on RACP. To end the month, we saw three new Templars leaders, which were Caracal Cat, Maguro, and Moon.
NOVEMBER
Words by: Kiltanon
Undoubtedly the most important event of November was the Secret Service shutting their doors and merging into the Doritos. This occurred shortly before SS had planned to host their fourth anniversary event, on November 3. The closure of the Secret Service was due to internal conflicts with the current army leaders, and army legends. This caused the then SS leaders, Aisha, JoelFreak, and Logical to reach out to DCP Legends, seeking revival perms. Since their revival, the Doritos have proven themselves to be one of the strongest armies, with maxes over 80.
This leads us to our second important event of the month. On November 23, Club Penguin Armies announced the rules and qualification information for Christmas Chaos XIV. There were 11 armies invited, with 5 Major armies and 6 Small/Medium armies being invited. The first qualifiers were held on November 30, whilst the rest of the tournament carried through December, culminating in the final on December 21.
Our third major event of the month was Coolguy’s promotion to Chief Executive Producer. Chief Executive Producer Mare announced that Coolguy would be sharing her position on November 22. Earlier this year, CG served as a leader for the Army of Club Penguin, earning the Silver Medal Award, awarded to him by Army Legend CSY. This was due to his excellent work as a leader and his efforts in helping ACP win the New Year’s Bonanza. Since his promotion, CG has proven that he is fit for the task and will continue to assist CPA achieve further greatness.
Other notable events from this month include the alliance formed between the Winged Hussars and the Army of Club Penguin. Alongside ACP hosting Double Deck the Halls III, winning the competition. As well as this, we watched as the Water Vikings reclaim Major status, and subsequently declare war on Special Weapons and Tactics.
DECEMBER
Words by: Sal
The last month of 2024 started off with Christmas Chaos XIV being carried on and many armies fighting to reach the Quarterfinals with Doritos, Aliens, Rebel Penguin Federation, and Army of Club Penguin reaching the semis. In the end, the Rebels won against Doritos in a massive 3-0 sweep and were crowned the winners of this year’s Christmas Chaos in a compelling battle with both armies having sizes above 80! Doritos also welcomed a few of their veterans back into the army, making them even stronger.
The FrostGuard Legion was registered into CPA and became a new army fighting for glory. A very unexpected event happened in December and that was the hiatus of the Winged Hussars. This was an unfortunate announcement but makes us wonder what the future holds in store for the Hussars. During this time, the CPA Advent Calendar was made and gave community members something to look forward to every day. The Legion ended up merging with the Dark Vikings. On December 15 Maguro announced that he would step down as leader of the Templars of Club Penguin.
RPF decided to host a fundraising campaign after two years which was very successful! Unfortunately, the famous Ugly retired as Leader of ACP after a successful period in the army. Dark Pirates had returned after two shutdowns. The SWAT Exodus occurred this month which led to leader Fun X Time and many staff to retire and leave SWAT destroyed. Ugly’s retirement party and this event happened on the same day, leaving everyone shocked.
On December 23, Club Penguin Armies Chief Executive Producer Mare announced the promotion of Edu14463 to Executive Producer, inaugurating a new team of Administrators. Furthermore, the Water Vikings had become an S/M army while TCP had become a major army. This was a great goal for TCP but not too great for WV. On December 26, Billy Bawb became Leader of TCP after the retirement of Maguro. The Enchanted Winter Realms 2024 Awards Ceremony happened on December 28, with many people being recognized for their feats. This made the hearts of many community members happy. At the end of the year, WV celebrated its 14th Year Anniversary, as the community now awaits for the 2024 Legends Inductions cycle to wrap up.
Without a doubt, 2024 has been a remarkable year, filled with thrilling battles, intense tournaments, and its fair share of drama. As we bid farewell to this eventful chapter, we at Club Penguin Armies extend our warmest wishes for a fantastic 2025 to our beloved community. Here’s to an even more exciting year ahead! What was your favorite moment of 2024?
