Water Vikings Declare Elite Guardians Enemy Army

While their alliance officially dissolved at the end of December last year, the Water Vikings have taken a step further to announce the Guardians as an enemy army after recent happenings.

On the 10th of January, Dino, one of the Commanders of Water Vikings, made an official statement regarding the army’s relations with the Elite Guardians and formally designated the Guardians as an enemy army. In his post, he mentions all the times that the Vikings had stood up and supported the Guardians, and the latter not recognizing their efforts and the help that they had offered as allies then. Dino also made it clear that suspending their foreign relations moving forward did not mean that the Vikings were looking to go to war against them and that the war that the Guardians are in currently, was only theirs to fight as the Vikings didn’t mean to intervene in any way.

The alliance between the Elite Guardians and the Water Vikings was established shortly after the Guardians had made their return to the army scene during May of last year. Since then, the Guardians have been involved in several conflicts, including World War IX where the Blue Sunset Alliance consisting of the Rebel Penguin Federation, the Water Vikings, and the Guardians themselves had gone to war against the Army of Club Penguin, who were later joined by the Help Force, the Templars and the Sapphire Concordat. This is one of the instances that Dino writes about in his statement, where the Water Vikings had provided immense support to the Elite Guardians, their then-allies, which had gotten them through the war.

There were highs and lows in the alliance, a low being the “Alabama Plan” introduced by the Water Vikings that the Elite Guardians did not take in and respond well to, however, the two armies shared a strong bond, until very recently when five armies declared war on the Elite Guardians on the grounds of controversies surrounding them, accusing the Guardians of inappropriate demeanor and misconduct. The Water Vikings were not involved in this war but chose to take action immediately regarding the alliance that they shared with the Elite Guardians, ending it after a multitude of allegations and accusations had come to the surface concerning the Guardians. With the beginning of a new year, the Vikings have officially made the call to classify them as an enemy, especially after the latter claimed that the Vikings had betrayed them and turned against them.

Could you elaborate a little more on why Water Vikings decided to declare Elite Guardians as an enemy at this very point and not earlier/later?

There was no point to declare them enemies earlier, lol. The war between EGCP and the alliance had nothing to do with us. We unallied with them as we found their actions deplorable but it was also not our fight. That and also EGCP had been such a strategic ally for the past few months that declaring them as an enemy was pointless. But I later found out through the grapevine that EGCP are just a bitter bunch that considered us snakes since June and never forgiven us. Coupled that with the constant public jabs at us and we frankly were not going to stand with it.

We left EGCP to handle their own business and they repay us by being ungrateful for all of the shit we put with them. Frankly how EGCP has been behaving towards us is the behavior of crybabies. It’s a shame because even despite them failing to listen to our advice or them dragging us through a lot of pain (as mentioned in the post), we didn’t care because we actually liked EGCP up until recently and still respected them to an extent. I guess it was all in vain though because EGCP are a bunch of snakes that harbored hatred for us this entire time. They can call us whatever but they never reciprocated the same level of respect we had for them and went through so much. Absolutely clownery on their part.

What was the reason behind establishing the alliance between the two armies in the first place?

The alliance was established for three reasons:
a) I had personally known Edu and some other EGCP people before they came back as we are all from CPRA;
b) WV sees itself as a guarantor of the S/M community and we noted how EGCP spearheaded the New Viking Alliance which was effectively the S/M community united against major oppression. Granted, EGCP itself was a major and so are we. But given we knew EGCP played the role we tried to play, we wanted to have their back as they grew;
c) and finally I found out after conversations with Lass and EGCP advisors in May, we realized we had similar goals (at least at first. We didn’t realize they’d become as imperialistic as they did) in terms of army geopolitics.

Once the WW had started, we felt committed to helping them as EGCP was still a growing, returning S/M. They sold us on the idea of doing the preemptive war on ACP as they painted it as a fight against imperialism, which is something we wanted to contain to allow for S/M to prosper. Sadly, we were blinded. But even despite that we didn’t feel betrayed by EGCP during the World War. We felt a bit annoyed that they wanted to punish PIC and NC more than us and RPF in the names of “containing future threats” as it came across as the very thing we were fighting. But it doesn’t really matter.

However, it appears the Alabama Plan made EGCP change THEIR views on us. I noticed that then since after we announced that I constantly got harassed by EGCP advisors. I shrugged it off as just playfulness and all in jest. But I found out not long ago that this was actual frustration, and that EGCP staff never really liked us since while WV respected them quite a bit as we did a lot of things after the war.

How do you think declaring Elite Guardians as enemies will benefit the army in the long run, if at all?

It doesn’t benefit the army but it doesn’t hurt it either. I discussed with my HCOM in advance before our post declaring them enemies and they all agreed what EGCP has been doing should not be tolerated. We are focused on ourselves and despite EGCP’s immaturity, there is no reason to war them except for what the other armies are warring them for (but that imo is their fight. Even if we wanted to war EGCP we don’t want to third-weel like POM did).

To us, we needed to make a bold statement because we aren’t going to let these fake former allies push us around like this. I have prided myself of not letting WV be pushovers anymore like Aaron. I don’t care if EGCP is the bigger army—you lead to be successful. You aren’t going to let some army talk you down like that, especially since it is rich for them to call us bad allies when in the post I mentioned how they made us go through more shit and yet we had no problem because we actually respected them.

What are Water Vikings’ plans regarding foreign relations moving ahead and what can we expect to see from the army in the near future?

We plan on being active on the map this time around with the upcoming change. I’ll let people interpret that in whatever ways they want

With the ever-changing nature of foreign relations within armies, it seems that this former alliance will not be restored anytime soon in the future. Dino has a lot of plans for his army surrounding the map, and we are excited to see how the upcoming map will influence armies’ decisions and actions. We wish Dino, the Water Vikings, and the Elite Guardians the very best in all of their future endeavors.
