Winged Hussars Announce Hiatus

On December 10, 2024, Winged Hussars announced a hiatus would be taking place. For the outsiders, this looked like a shocking announcement. Today, we will learn what led to this event.

The Winged Hussars were founded on January 6, 2019, by Ripmam, Dagyr3, Snork, Phil, and Shinzo. The army was originally formed as a rebellious movement against the former Templars leader, Xing. Originally named The Holy Army of Jerusalem, they changed their name to reflect their Polish cavalry theme. Thanks to the Elite Guardians and the New Viking Alliance, the Hussars achieved full independence.

Ever since their reopening in December 2023, the Hussars have been playing a crucial role in the Small/Medium community, leaving their mark on it. They have participated in several wars and important battles, most importantly winning their first S/M tournament,  Project Conquest: Blood Bowl. This win had a big impact on the army and boosted their overall morale. Moreover, after Blood Bowl, they had also announced an alliance with the Army of Club Penguin.

HIATUS ANNOUNCEMENT

Nonetheless, to the surprise of many in the community, the army’s monarch Shinzo announced the Hussars would be entering a state of hiatus. In the announcement, he mentioned that the Hussars had become very inactive with events and news updates, in addition to the inactivity of the Leaders because of increasing real-life tasks. Therefore, they all collectively decided to announce a temporary break to the Hussars. While this was a shocking move, it showed the whole CPA community that the Hussars were going through a period of struggle for some time.

With the Winged Hussars on hiatus for now, it seems they all are dedicated to improving the army and taking it to greater heights. This is definitely not the last we heard of them since the Hussars have shown to be unpredictable in times of struggle. Will the Winged Hussars be able to come back stronger than ever? What would you do in this situation? What was your reaction to this news?
