Sidie9 Inducted as Templars Leader

Last week, the army community saw many surprises, including SM Army Legend Sidie9 being inducted as Templars Leader. The Templars are currently locked in a war against the Water Vikings, only time will tell who will come on top.

Sidie9 is a well-known army veteran and SM Legend within the community who is most known for creating the People’s Imperial Confederation in 2019. Sidie originally joined the community in 2011 and she went on to become an advocate and pioneer for Ausia armies/events. She saw that there was a lack of Ausia events taking place so decided to create her own Ausia army. She inspired many to host Ausia events and improve their Ausia division.

In recent months, Sidie9 resigned from her position as Commander-in-Chief of the Confederation, on February 7th. However, she remained an active part of PIC’s advisory. It came as a shock to many when, on April 7th, she entered the Templars as a Leader-in-Training. However, this went unnoticed by many outside of the army. Surprisingly, no announcement was made about their arrival. But, alongside Sidie, Mocha also entered the army becoming a ‘Grand Prior’ (Leader).

After Sidie’s arrival into the army, the Water Vikings declared war on the Templars, dubbing it the ‘The Sluttpådawn War’. They stated that the war had been brewing for a while, long before Sidie joined, dating back to 2022. The relationship between the Vikings and Templars only worsened over time despite them remaining cordial. There were underlying problems which could not be solved. Therefore, war seemed to be the only answer.

On April 10th, Sidie was officially promoted to Grand Prior, however, no official announcement was made by the Templars. Despite this, she is a big addition to their leadership, helping them in any way that she can. Overall, it has been an eventful week for Sidie and the Templars with numerous battles taking place. With approximately 11 battles taking place thus far, the war is clearly far from over, but what originally led Sidie to join the army?

With that being said, Club Penguin Armies approached Sidie for an interview to find out more.

What was your initial reaction to being inducted as a leader of templars?

I wasn’t really surprised because I’d talked about it a lot privately. I can’t lie, I felt a bit anxious about it. For the past five years the only real armies I’ve been in were PIC and ACP, so this is a fresh experience for me. With that said, however, I feel I am settling in quite well.

Did anyone inspire you to become a leader in the Templars?

All of my comrades at the People’s Imperial Confederation, such as my amazing girlfriend Shallissa (happy birthday!), have inspired me to be my best and reach for the stars. I also owe a lot of inspirationto Xing for hyping and preparing me for this role, as well as Dawnables for her excellent leadership in the war thus far.

How does it feel being thrown into a war right after your induction as leader?

I may have known about the war beforehand, which could have influenced my decision to join the Templars in the first place. My AUSIA division and the rest of the Templars are currently pummelling WV, so I’d say it feels pretty good.

Do you have plans for the army or ideas you’d like to implement?

I have plenty of plans for the Templars moving forward. The army will see a lot of change following the war, but I’m not really at liberty to talk about that. I will say though that AUSIA will be a huge emphasis for TCP as we head into the future, and I’d like to see our army on top of the community once more.

Is there anything you want to say to the TCP members who are currently working in the army to achieve their goals?

Consistency is key. The success of the Templars relies on the work of everyone, bit by bit. You are all capable of so much and we will prove this to the community.

Even though the war came as a surprise to many, it seems like Sidie was prepared. Inspired by Xing and her past comrades and friends, Sidie enters the army’s leader with great confidence. Historically, Templars are known to be a US army. However, with Sidie at the helm, could we see their Ausia division rise to new heights? Will they be able to beat the Vikings in the ongoing war? Who do you think will come out on top? We wish Sidie the best of luck as they aim for new heights within the Templars.
