We have already seen a recap of the tournaments and the community news per season. With the year ending, it is now the best time to look back and see what the Club Penguin Armies itself accomplished throughout the year.

Designed by Cassie

Small Introduction

Throughout December, there have been several posts going through a recap of 2025. The first one was regarding the major tournaments of the year, with the second being about their Small Medium sections, or the purely SM ones. Then there were seasonal ones, starting from the winter, then the spring, the summer, and the autumnThese all included what happened to the community. It is now time to see what Club Penguin Armies itself did, apart from the tournaments which have been analysed, this year.

January

Person of the Year

The year started with CPA announcing its Person of the Year for 2024, on January 3. The winner was Ugly for his leadership in the Army of Club Penguin, with Fitsuki, JoelFreak, Link3000, and Mchappy being the runner ups.

Legend Inductions

On the following day, the legend inductions were announced. In those, the Legends Committee voted to induct Link3000 as a Major Army Legend, for his work in the Rebel Penguin Federation, and Shinzo as the Small Medium Army Legend for his work in the Winged Hussars.

New Memorable Members

On January 5, CPA released the new additions to the Memorable Members. The Memorable Members award is one given to the people who have a significant impact to the organisation. Mchappy became the latest inductee for his work while being an Administrator.

Map Changes

On January 17, CPA released a post regarding the discussions that had happened within the army board regarding map changes. The board decided to unlock a new area of the map. In that, there would be different rules applying. Some land became “wilderness” with outside involvement not being allowed there by default. There were also territory tiers being added, with land requiring a different number of troops in order to be invaded. Some parts of the new area followed the normal freeland format.

Changes in the Media Rankings

On January 19, the Administration announced some promotions in the Media department. KiItanon and Mtjordan became the newest Associate Editors, while Diwix and Snork were promoted to Managing Editors. The last 2 received more promotions throughout the year, which will be covered later.

February

Candy Crusher

On February 2, the Club Penguin Armies announced the Candy Crusher. It was a tournament inspired by the Trick or Treat Trials, having unique objectives in each room which gave points to the armies. The Water Vikings ended up winning the Small Medium section of the tournament, while the Rebel Penguin Federation won the Major one.

Administrative Statement – Blackmailing

On February 17, the Administration released a statement against blackmailing. This came after the Doritos affiliate 32op attempted to blackmail the administration by threatening to release edited screenshots in an attempt to defame them. This was because of a controversial moment in a war between DCP and ACP, where the Doritos broke the war terms.

March

March Madness

On February 25, the Administration presented the March Madness X. It followed the usual single elimination format, but included a third place battle as well. The third place battle was a heated one between DCP and ACP, with the Doritos winnin eventually. In the finals, RPF faced the Help Force, which they easily defeated.

On March 23, four days after the changes in the Moderation department there were some in the Media one as well. Snork and Diwix were both promoted to Editor in Chief, just about 2 months after their ME promotion. Ugly was also promoted and became an Associate Editor.

April

April Fool’s

The Removal of Mare

On March 31, the administration released a statement regarding the coup of Mare. In that, she was accused of acting on her own, without discussing with her colleagues, as well as attempting to coup the other 2 admins of the time, Coolguy and Edu14463.

CPAJ War

On the following day, Club Penguin Army Judges declared war on CPA, accusing the administration of mistreating their partners.

Super’s Return

On the same day as the war, Coolguy announced Superhero123‘s addition to the administration. Super had been a CPA Advisor for a while, and he stepped up to help with the transitional period. A few hours later, Super announced his plans and put activity requirements on the Admins, which forced him to fire himself.

At the same time, CPA also opened Advisor applications. After Super’s leave, Mare spun the non rigged wheel and was chosen to become an administrator once again.

Afterwards, all of it was revealed to be an April Fool’s prank.

Administrative Statement – Evolution of the Administration

On April 6, the Administration released a new statement. In that, new changes were announced surrounding the administration. The Executive Producer and the Chief Executive Producer roles were merged, with the first one being used for Admins in training. Rules were added for affiliated admins as well, though they haven’t been used much ever since, as the Admins have been unaffiliated.

The “No Tolerance for Interference” policy was also added due to the blackmailing incident a few months prior. The policy was removed some months later after concerns were raised about it.

In the same statement, Edu was promoted to Chief Executive Producer, with Snork becoming the newest EP.

Map Reset – Map Changes

On April 7, there was a new announcement regarding what was voted on in the army board. It was decided to add seasonal land additions, adjust the unique tiers and wilderness land and add it to the legacy continents, which was decided to be removed some months later. There were also some more map rules added and adjusted.

New Columns

On April 15, there were new columns being added. This was done in an attempt to refresh the content posted, as columns after a while become stagnant and repetitive. The Memorable Moments, Picture Perfect, and the controversial Undercover Troop columns were removed. In their place, Lead the Way, Penguin Puzzlers and Leaving a Legacy, which is the only one of those still active, got added.

A Department Head’s Departure

On the same day, Aisha, one of the two Head Moderators at the time departed from her position. She had held the role for almost a year, becoming one of the longest serving Head Moderators, surviving through multiple transitions. That left Jojo Teri as the sole Head Mod.

Mare’s Retirement

On April 21, Mare retired from her Administrator position. In her post, she self reflects and talks about her admin journey, while sharing her wisdom. She was definitely one of the most accomplished and most well known admins in the org’s history. After her retirement, she remained a CPA Advisor.

Website Updates

On April 23, there was a new page was added to the website. That was the Awards page. It contains the Community Awards from the Galas, the Person of the Year, a list of all Tournaments and the winner and last of all, the Memorable Members. It was made by Mare, Edu and Coolguy with the help of Dino.

The new additions

Alongside BP, Rye was promoted to become the newest Head of YouTube. She stood out in the department doing a good job in Editing and Recording and thus also winning the Media Member of the Month Award.

June

Media Promotions

On June 3, Kira and Zenishira were promoted to Associate Editors. This promotion came after they were both doing incredible work in their department and being very creative. Both of them ended up getting more promotions.

Executive Statement – Authority, Accountability, and the Line We Draw

On June 6, the Administration released a strong statement. In that, the matter of the Authority of a governing body, CPA, is first studied. In the post, the matter of accountability and setting a line was also heavily analysed. It was a key to the Statements and Spotlights that followed throughout the year, which were mainly based on what the post stated.

Summer 2025 @ CPA

On June 9, Club Penguin Armies announced a series of activities and events that took place throughout the summer. They will be analysed more later, so there will be no details given here.

Coolguy Quits

On June 15, Coolguy announced the end of his administration. He had decided to step down from Admin and start new, as a Dark Warriors leader. He had contributed much to the organisation, being the second longest lasting admin, behind Mchappy, being in the administration for over a year. In his post, he talks about his army history and how he came to become an admin in the org, as well as his experiences.

The Club Penguin Armies Golden Age Begins

On June 21, the Golden Age began. Snork stepped down from his position in the administration after being promoted at the beginning of April. At the same time, Jojo Teri got promoted to Executive Producer, marking a new age in the administration. The new Administration promised stronger moderation, revitalized media, bold leadership and innovation. With Jojo’s promotion, BP remained the sole Head Moderator. Jojo ended up getting promoted to Chief Executive Producer around 3 weeks later, on July 13. Nine days after becoming a CEP, on July 22, Jojo stepped down from his Head Judge position in Club Penguin Army Judges, which he had held for a year, to fully focus on CPA.

The Summer Olympics Begin

On June 27, the Community Committee announced the summer Olympics. For the first time, the Olympics consisted of armies against other armies. The armies competed on a map board and had to complete challenges in order to advance. They could receive trinkets and awards while they moved forward. The opening ceremony was hosted on July 5. The Olympics lasted for the rest of the summer, with the final leaderboard being posted on September 8. Eventually, ACP won, with 252.9 points being followed by the Water Vikings, and the Special Weapons and Tactics further behind.

July

Third Anniversary

The third anniversary celebrations began with an Art contest. Community members were able to design their own anniversary related server icon and banner. They were used for the anniversary week. Throughout the week, there were challenges where the community could compete and win rewards. MasterDS also designed a beautiful cake.

Legends Cup XV

On July 5, the administration announced the Legends Cup XV, which followed a similar format to the former ones, with one new addition. It was casino themed, with the whole server also joining the theme, with the roles and channels names changing to fit the theme. There was also a casino bot added to further help the members get into the theme. The twist of the tournament was the addition of a lucky wheel. Additionally, the Casa Fiesta room was added on CPA: Battleground. The Quarter Finals and Semi Finals matchups were determined through it. Eventually, in the finals, the Aliens faced RPF, with the latter managing to win.

The tournament also included a Gambling Bracketology. Members started with 100 coins, and at the end of the tourney, they could purchase a variety of rewards.

The role’s usage was later altered to include all Developers working in CPA projects, such as the map and CPA bots.

Another Website Update

On July 22, the “About” page was edited. It became the now called “Institutional” page. There were also changes in its design and it now features a graphic including all department heads and the administration.

August

Discussions About Map Changes

At the beginning of August, discussions within the army board about map changes began. The Administration asked community members to share their own ideas too, as there were multiple creative ones circulating at the time.

Promotions in the Media Department

On August 3, Mtjordan, Kira, and Zenishira all got promoted to Managing Editors. This came after their assistance in breaking the former CPA post record, ending up releasing 105 posts in July, a record which has now been broken again this month.

CPA Census 2025

On August 4, the CPA Administration announced the 2025 community Census. It contained similar questions to the 2023 ones, so that there could be a good comparison. There were two new questions being added, one regarding religion and one about the community’s view of the community itself.

Summer Blitz

On August 10, CPA announced the Summer Blitz. It was a unique tournament, the first one in the league’s history to be a map tournament only for Small Medium armies. It included rules similar to those of the Blood Bowl but without its loopholes. Out of the 10 participants, the Dark Warriors managed to hold the most land at the end of it and win the trophy.

Executive Statement – Winds of Change

On August 11, the Administration released a new Executive Statement. It included a variety of things, like the map changes that were voted on within the army board throughout the month. The Administration said that there would be a new server map, featuring an economy system too, with mobility units such as ships and planes. The Developers team was assembled around that time, too, and has been working since to create the new map. Additionally, more land opened on the map to allow armies to expand more. At the same time, Super increased the CPAB room cap to 150 after complaints in the LCXV final battles. The “No Tolerance for Interference” policy was revoked, as it was mentioned earlier. Lastly, armies have been allowed ever since to request footage from the YouTube department, 24 hours after the recorded event takes place.

A new Mod Addition

On the same day, after the Moderators agreed on it, the Modmail was added to the server. It has been a great tool with people being able to create tickets when there is an issue to get a faster response.

Mapping the Map | CPA Summit 2025

On August 19, the Administration announced the Mapping the Map public Summit. In that, the community members were able to voice their concerns and suggestions regarding the map rules. Almost all map rules and policies were discussed and revised in the 5 sessions of the summit. There was a new board created for the summit, including all active armies. There was also public voting, to allow the community to share its thoughts and a proposals channel.

The process lasted for about a month, with 38 votes taking place and a large part of the rules changing, removing unnecessary ones. Everything was finalised, and by October 15, the new map rules went into effect.

All the changes can be found here.

The Fortune Gala

On August 21, The Fortune Gala was announced. Initially, the community members could nominate people for the categories. Then, after August 25, they could submit their votes in each category. In this gala, the Department awards were chosen by the Department heads. The gala event took place in the CPAB, with the Plaza being decorated and the Stage opening to host it. The results can be found here.

Spotlight Season

The first spotlight for August was posted on August 26. In it, the WV staff Prism got caught multilogging for his army. There was extended multilogging, which lasted for a long time and ended up costing the army the first spot in some Top Tens after the deductions were applied.

The second spotlight was released on August 29. It was a more complicated one, with the CPA Admins, the CPAJ HJs and the CPAB HMs all being involved in the research. Eventually, after much arguing with the people who were involved with the situation, it was revealed that the Void Troops violated the war terms in the war against the Penguins of Agartha. As reparations, POA was able to choose 4 VT land, as they had lost 4 land in the war, but they refused, so CPA turned 4 VT land into freeland.

September

Donation Tiers

On September 9, CPA announced the new donation tiers through Discord. This was an addition for those who wished to make donations to the organisation. The money from the donations is used for the website domain and the hosting costs, as well as giveaways if there is an excess of money. Initially, excess money would also go towards CPAB donations, but that was removed after concerns. The donors are given exclusive items on CPAB as well as special roles and rewards in the Discord server.

Safety Executive Statements

The first Executive statement was released on September 21. It was aimed to address some issues within the community, while reminding the importance of safety and giving some tips.

The first thing covered was the RPF controversy, with the results of the first investigation. For the first time in the org’s history, an army was punished for handling misconduct poorly, with RPF getting a *0.6 multiplier on the Top Ten for 2 weeks.

In the statement, there was also covered an issue with an inappropriate tactic done by The White Order in one of the war battles against RPF. It was deemed severely racist and for that, it received a *0.6 multiplier on the Top Ten as the war was ending. Lastly, the Administration answered and declined some demands made by TWO. This statement was important as it set a precedent in these cases.

The second one was published in October 5. It was a follow up of the first when it comes to the RPF case. The very thorough investigation was fully completed this time, with RPF receiving another 2 weeks of 0.6 multiplier.

There was also covered a situation regarding the Romans, where an individual who had committed misdeeds was promoted to lead the army. Luckily, a leader of the army handled the situation well after being told about it. The leader who was responsible for the promotion was banned from CPA, and his army suffered a *0.8 multiplier for 2 weeks.

Changes in the Internal Structure

On September 24, there were 2 changes made in the organisation’s internal structure. The first one was the reduction of the number of active penguins required for an army to get registered. The number was reduced to 5, being 10 beforehand. The second policy that changed was the removal of the Head Representative position from the army board. That was as it was not being used at all, since the Administration hears the requests of all board members regardless and then hosts meetings to discuss them. All board members have Head Rep permissions since then, basically they are able to discuss with the Administration about their concerns or requests and call meetings.

October

Media Department Promotions

On October 1, there were changes in the media department. Kira joined Diwix to become the newest Editor in Chief, with both of them still holding that position today. Additionally, VESTA got promoted to Associate Editor.

October Horrors

On October 11, Club Penguin Armies announced the October Horrors tournament. It was a Halloween themed tournament with many twists. The first twist was that the tournament was split into Major and SM sections. Each section’s battles happened all within one day, apart from the Qualifiers battle. Additionally, there was a Super Cup battle in the end, between the Major winner and the SM winner. Also, there were no overtime rooms in this tournament, apart from the finals battles. This meant that if two armies ended up in a tie, they would both proceed to the next round, which is something that happened between ACP and the Aliens.

The major section ended up in 3 way finals between the Aliens ACP and WV, with the first ones winning the battle. In the SM section, the Dark Warriors managed to defeat the People’s Imperial Confederation. In the Super Cup, the Aliens defeated DW.

Census 2025 Results

After a long wait, the Administration released the Census 2025 results on October 16. The post included several charts and analyzed the trends over the years. It appeared that most people believed that the community was in a good state, with half of the responders believing that it was growing steadily or thriving.

Changes in the YouTube Department

There were several changes in the YouTube department throughout October. The first one came on October 18, with the YouTube department transitioning into the Social Media department. With that came the creation of the CPA TikTok and, much more recently, the creation of the CPA Spotify.

On October 26, Beasto returned to the Social Media department as the department head. With him, the department started thriving even more, with the Klondike After Hours series also coming back.

November

Registration Changes

After the lowering of the registration limit on November 5, it was removed completely. All active armies have been recognised ever since regardless of their sizes. Armies are automatically recognised now when they host an event. Of course, illegal revivals or inappropriate armies are excluded from that and will not be recognised at all.

Armies will be able to promote themselves by writing a description about them, which is posted in the #active armies. A channel that contains all the active recognised armies. Recognised armies also receive their role after their opening event and army leaders get the leader role. For the meme armies, they have to get at least 10 points in the Top Ten for 2 consecutive weeks before receiving their role. Armies are still able to promote their opening events.

New Columns

On November 24, there were new columns being added and older ones being removed. The Penguin Puzzlers and Lead the Way were removed. In their place, the CPA Conspiracy Theories, the What If and the HCOM Life Stories were added. The latter one existed once again in the past and was brought back.

Christmas @ CPA

On November 27, the CPA Administration released the Christmas @ CPA post, which included most of the events and activities that happened throughout December. They will be analysed more later on the post.

December

Christmas Chaos XV

On November 22, the Christmas Chaos XV tournament was announced. The tournament, which is still ongoing, is a single elimination tournament with an addition. This time, the Small Medium army that progresses the most wins a trophy as well. Due to 3 SM armies being eliminated at the same round, there will be a 3 way finals battle, between the DW, TCP and Romans, on January 3. On the same day, the Grand Finals battle will also take place between the Aliens and the RPF, an LC XV rematch.

Like the Legends Cup this year, members are able to bet on the battles’ winners and earn coins, which they can spend on rewards.

CPA 2025.2 Quality Check

Similar to the first one, the Administration released the second Quality Check of the year on December 1. The results of the second one can be found in this post.

Promotions in the Media Department, Again

On December 8, there were 2 promotions in the Media Department. The first one was VESTA’s promotion to Managing Editor, after he demonstrated consistency and good quality work. The second promotion was Krill‘s promotion to Associate Editor. His passion and innovative ideas helped him earn this promotion fast.

Expressing the Christmas Spirit

On December 10, there were 2 new creative activities available for the community members. In the first one, they were able to submit Christmas Ornaments, which were then added to the CPA Christmas tree. The result can be seen below.

Designed by the Community

On the second activity, members were able to submit their favorite Christmas song. The songs were then compiled and added to the CPA Christmas playlist, which was the first post of the CPA Spotify account. The result can be found in this link.

Road to Christmas

It was a limited time column, for the first 24+1 days of December, leading to Christmas. It was divided into 4 sections, with the first one being the introduction. The posts of this column included the “This Day in History” of the day, as well as the daily challenge to the community. There was also a fun fact at the end of the post.

People are getting rewards for having completed the challenges, with GeoIonut being the first to complete all 24 of them. Additionally, there was a special 25th edition, with the Administration’s wishes.

2025 CPA Recaps

Throughout the month, there have been recaps being posted. Those include seasonal recaps and tournament recaps, as it was mentioned in the beginning. This is the last recap of this type, including everything regarding the organisation.

The Iceberg Jubilee

The Iceberg Jubilee held a similar format to the summer gala. There was first a nomination form where people could add their nominations. Then, there was the voting phase, with people being able to vote in the Department awards once again. The results presentation happened in Club Penguin Journey and on Discord on December 28. The full results are being added to a post currently, which will be released in the following days.

Designed by MasterDS

Legends

On December 19, the Legends Committee head DMT, announced the Community Vote and the list of nominees. The vote gives a +1 vote to the nominees who receive more than a 50.5% approval.

On December 30, the results of the vote were announced. Eventually, only BP received more than the required percentage.

A Major Milestone

On December 26, the Club Penguin Armies server reached 1000 members. This happened for the first time in its history and is an important milestone as it can now be featured on the Discord’s Discovery page. This makes it easier for people to find out the community.

Predictions and Appreciation

On December 27 and 28, the Community Committee released 2 forms. The first one is regarding predictions about the community in 2026. In the second one, people can send an appreciation message to other individuals in the community. They can also share their favorite memory with them and the one from the community.

Changes in the Community Committee

During the gala, the newest change in the CC Department was announced. Kazoo became the newest CC Head, taking Frickle‘s place. Frickle had been one of the longest lasting heads of the organisation, being in the position for more than 20 months. Kazoo has shown dedication to the department and creativity, showing signs that he will be a good department head.

CPA Spotlight – SWAT Multilogging

The third Spotlight for the year was released on December 29. It was found that the SWAT Leader in Training had multilogged in 3 events within a week, using his account and an account of a third in command. SWAT received a -4 deduction and a 0.8 multiplier for next week.

Coming next in 2026

2025 POTY Live Broadcast

On January 4, the Person of the Year award will be announced. Apart from the POTY, there will be the Runner Ups and the Honourable Mentions. It will be announced live, in a Discord event in the CPA stage. The event hosted by Edu14463, JojoTeri and Mare, will contain several parts, the details of which will be revealed as the days pass. There will also be special guests at the event.

2025 Top Ten of the Year

As always, CPA posts its Top Ten of the Year. This year it will be even better than the previous ones and will contain much more information and categories. It is notable that there have been 56 armies hosting events throughout this year, which is more than the ones in the past 3 years.

A New Map

CPA Developers have been creating the map for a while. It is now almost the time for it to be released. There is a sneak peek in DF44‘s most recent opinion post.

Community Guidelines

This is an ongoing project of the Administration and the Head Moderator. It will contain further information and clarification about the rules and how they are applied, as well as when CPA intervenes in situations, both internally and externally. It will also include changes in the Moderation, which the Moderation team has already started voting.

Much More

There is much more to come, but revealing them will ruin the surprise. New tournaments, guides, changes in the website, changes in the Discord server, announcements, and much more. Stay tuned to find them out.

There were a lot going on in the Club Penguin Armies this year. From administrative and department changes to Spotlights and Statements, along with several tournaments being hosted in between. Additionally, the organisation has hosted many events and activities throughout the year, released YouTube videos and TikToks, written a lot of posts, of all types, whether that is news posts, columns, opinions, editorials, satires. It also created many graphics and moderated the Discord server chats, while doing its best to ensure the community’s safety. Of course, the struggle to become better never ends, and the organisation’s aim for the next year is to overcome its 2025 self, learning from past mistakes. What do you think CPA will look like in 2026? Do you think the golden age will become even more golden? What events will take place in the next year? Did you enjoy this post?
