Ryebread and Pingo, two leaders of the Penguins of Madagascar, were banned from the army. Alongside the retirement of Mocha and several staff members, the future of the army is in question.
The Penguins of Madagascar was created in January 2023 by Ryebread and Logical. The new army was eager to get into a war, declaring war on Special Weapons and Tactics on March 19th. The war ended on April 1st, with both armies signing a treaty called the Pact of Women’s History Month. This peace was short-lived as the Magma Clan soon declared war on POM.
The Magma Clan were deemed victorious after the Penguins of Madagascar breached the war terms. Following another short period of peace, the Penguins of Madagascar joined the Sapphire Concordat in their war against the Dark Vikings. POM emerged victorious from the war, getting a taste of glory. After the retirement of their leader, Sweater, alongside several staff members, the army went on hiatus on June 7th, 2023.
After their hiatus, POM returned to the army scene with three new leaders, Cr3epy, Guest User and Solarix. Even after reopening, the army could not have a moment of peace, with the Dark Pirates declaring war on August 12th, 2023. Just a few days later, the Dark Pirates merged into Special Weapons and Tactics. With this, they were able to work on themselves a bit without interference. Following a few months of peace, POM supported the United Front Alliance in their Christmas Crusade war against the Elite Guardians of Club Penguin.
One of the more recent wars was when the Peoples’ Imperial Confederation declared war on them on March 27th, 2024. After winning their 7th battle in the war, PIC declared themself the winner, with POM soon agreeing.
Throughout its ups and downs, POM has been active in the community, engaging in many wars. They have not been able to catch a break. Yet, they have remained resilient and stood their ground. Just a few days after their war with PIC, POM creator, Logical, banned Ryebread and Pingo, two leaders of the army. For context, Ryebread created POM alongside Logical, while Pingo was promoted to leader in September 2023, after previously being staff in the Water Vikings.
Logical accused them of making a new POM server to usurp him. This led to him retaking control and banning both of them from the server.
Ryebread was later unbanned, but the damage was already done. Mocha, another leader of POM, left the army to join Templars’ leadership. Several staff members have also left. With that, no new events have been announced. Ryebread joined the Water Vikings as 2nd-in-command, whereas Pingo decided to join the Help Force as a troop. The future is in question for POM. Will they be able to recover?
Club Penguin Armies reached out to Logical, Ryebread, and Pingo to better understand the conflict. Logical declined an interview while Ryebread and Pingo have agreed to provide a statement.
Ryebread: Regarding my banishment from the Penguins of Madagascar, it was very sudden. Both me and Pingo were banned by POM creator, Logical, and my best guess as to why is because he thought I was going to “recreate Pom” with a new server, and transfer all the people over there. When in reality, the server was simply a backup, in case anything bad happened to the first server, like a raid. I eventually got unbanned and added back to Pom, but I do not have any permissions as my highest rank is Veteran. Pingo still has not been unbanned. Overall I just think that it was stupid for things to go down like this, and I’m not gonna keep trying to beat this dead bird in hopes it can fly again.
Pingo: It is extremely dissapointing that someone so entitled to a “Server Owner” role despite stating that he was no longer army affiliated (still attended and lead events), constantly saying offensive shit under the tag of dark humour (the sidie incident), literally costing us battles simply by his shenanigans and getting rye a week ban from CPAB despite (from what i heard, i wasnt at the battle at the specific time) screaming at Logical to not do the tactic, aswell as the way Logical acts in CPA main chat, just burrying down our reputation to the likes of “not good” status, its clear to me that Logical has no regard for his own creation.
I ask every army to refuse to call whatever Logical is doing in POM as POM at all, call them the Penguins, call them the Madagascar but i will refuse to let his unholy SWAT Jr-ification of POM, I did not go past thick and thin only to see my own work (do note that despite Logical being the creator, ive been leader for TWICE as long) by someone who hadn’t done anything since May last year with the execption being for March Madness. POM is over, POM will never revive again, ive talked with Rye and she seems to agree with me (i dont know if CPA is gonna talk to Rye too but i do believe she will say the same thing), if Logical tries to do something to POM as an army, ignore it. If Logical asks for you to “Join POM” or “Get Leader”, ignore him, do what our staff did, leave for someone else (if you have already joined).
All of this for what? For him to be “Server Owner”? I havent mentioned until now but the reason we got banned was because we were attempting to make a new server for the SOLE REASON of being able to finally ignore this individual, and our ONLY reason was to get him out of the server owner status of POM, but like i said, Logical decided to just throw us off and we decided it wasnt worth doing all of this because of one man who REALLY likes his roles. After all of this we just decided POM just isnt worth it to come back, the memories were fun but its clear its not built to last…TDLR; Pom is kil and Logical kiled it, if he says otherwise hes wrong.
It seems that the Penguins of Madagascar are in a dire spot right now. With many of their staff members leaving and no events being announced, their future is in question. What do you think will happen to the army? Will the army shut down soon? Will their former leaders find success elsewhere?
Logical is childish and immature
