For twenty summers, armies have waged wars, mobilized countless individuals, and written chapters that would come to define an entire community. What began as a handful of pioneers in 2006 has evolved into a living legacy spanning generations of leaders, troops, administrators, and organizations. Today, we invite you to step into something extraordinary — at Club Penguin Armies, this is The Twentieth Summer.

Designed by Master DS
Traditionally, Club Penguin Armies publishes a seasonal update outlining the major events, projects, and initiatives planned for the months of summer. This year, however, the summer carries a significance unlike any before it. As the community enters its twentieth year, the coming season will serve not merely as a collection of events, but as a celebration of two decades of history, achievement, and tradition.
Under the banner of The Twentieth Summer, members will embark on a journey through twenty years of CPA history, revisiting iconic moments, legendary figures, historic rivalries, and the milestones that defined each era of our community. Throughout the summer, the experience will evolve as we progress through the years themselves, accompanied by new themes, activities, interviews, community projects, videos, and special events. Only the largest initiatives are included in this post, so do not worry — there will be plenty more to discover throughout the season. In fact, some surprises have been intentionally omitted to preserve the excitement for when their time arrives.
Without further ado, we are proud to present the official events and updates of The Twentieth Summer.
The Twentieth Summer
“This year marks a milestone unlike any other”.
Around the World Cup III Grand Finals
Around the World Cup III is already underway, bringing together armies from across the community to fight across several time zones. Divided into both Major and Small/Medium Army classifications, the tournament will crown two champions following its decisive championship battles on June 7. As a result, The Twentieth Summer will commence with a pair of large-scale title contests, setting the stage for a season of competition, celebration, and community-wide engagement.
Club Penguin Armies 4th Anniversary
On July 1, Club Penguin Armies will celebrate its fourth anniversary. It was on this day in 2022 that the Club Penguin Army Headquarters and Club Penguin Army Network formally merged to create a unified organization — one that would go on to become among the most successful and influential organizations in all army history. In recognition of this milestone, a week-long anniversary celebration will be held for the community, featuring a diverse selection of events, competitions, and activities open to all members of the Discord server. As in previous years, participants will have the opportunity to earn awards by completing challenges and taking part in the festivities.
Summer Olympics 2026
Following the success of last year’s CPA Summer Olympics, the event will return for a second consecutive year as part of The Twentieth Summer celebrations. Building upon the popularity of team-based competitions — most notably demonstrated during Operation: WinterStorm — this year’s edition will once again feature a collaborative format, encouraging participants to work together in pursuit of victory. Several adjustments are currently being developed to ensure that the competition remains balanced, engaging, and highly competitive. While the full structure, events, and regulations have yet to be finalized, additional details will be released later in the summer as the opening ceremony draws closer.
The Gala of Twenty Summers
As has become tradition, the summer will conclude with our annual End-of-Summer Gala, bringing together members from across the community for an evening of celebration and recognition. As one of the big ceremonies of The Twentieth Summer, this year’s gala will feature not only the customary awards, but also a special series of Legacy Categories, through which the community will vote to honor the most remarkable figures, wars, achievements, and moments from across twenty years of Club Penguin Armies history. By commemorating the individuals and events that have left an enduring mark upon our community, the gala will serve as both a celebration of the past and a tribute to the legacy that continues to shape CPA today. Nonetheless, will Aurora dominate the awards once again? We will find out in a few months.
2026 CPA PRIDE PARADE
Another army tradition is the community’s pride parade. It has been hosted every June since 2021, first established by Mr Max, who was one of the founding Administrators of this organisation. CPA has hosted it for the past 3 years, with the event being led by the Community Committee last year. This year it will follow a similar format, with the Community Committee Heads hosting it, with the assistance of their department members and the Administrators. This year, it will take place on June 14, so make sure to clear your schedule so you can attend it! There will be another announcement about its details and the time it will take place, which will be out on the following days.
Legends Cup XVI
As has been tradition for the past four years, Club Penguin Armies will once again host the most prestigious tournament on the calendar: the Legends Cup. The sixteenth edition of the competition will take place in July under a single-elimination format, with this year’s theme scheduled to be unveiled later in June. While last year’s tournament featured a casino-inspired atmosphere and the introduction of the wheel mechanic, this year’s edition will place a greater emphasis on immersion, presentation, and the overall tournament experience – a true immersion in army history. Participants can expect a uniquely themed environment in CPA: Battleground (new rooms? Who knows), exclusive seasonal features, and a variety of enhancements designed to make Legends Cup XVI the most memorable and ambitious edition in the tournament’s history.
Although there may be smaller additions and surprises along the way, every effort will be made to ensure that the integrity and competitiveness of gameplay remain unchanged. As the centerpiece of The Twentieth Summer, Legends Cup XVI aims not only to crown a champion but also to deliver an unforgettable celebration worthy of CPA’s twentieth-anniversary year.
SERVER MAP
Apart from all these, the map will remain operational. The current map includes economy-related elements and unique rules that make it more strategic. At the same time, it is visually superior to any former maps, with an improved user interface. Recently, we have seen several wars, both between Major armies and S/Ms, along with freeland invasions taking place on it. We hope to see activity continue to flourish as armies make use of the map selected by the community in this year’s vote, further establishing it as a central part of the competitive landscape.
organizational updates
Throughout the summer, the Administration and Department Heads will continue implementing a series of improvements and structural reforms designed to enhance both staff operations and the broader community experience. Several initiatives are already nearing completion, including the forthcoming Top Ten Guidelines, which aim to provide greater transparency, consistency, and clarity for army leaders and members of the Top Ten Committee alike, helping elevate the system to its highest standard yet.
Meanwhile, the Community Committee has undergone significant expansion in preparation for The Twentieth Summer, including the recruitment of additional staff members and the introduction of specialized Project Leads to oversee major initiatives and improve organizational efficiency.
Similar efforts are taking place within the Moderation Department, where new Community Guidelines are being developed alongside ongoing improvements to moderation procedures and staff development. Together, these changes represent CPA’s continued commitment to strengthening its internal operations while delivering a more organized, engaging, and enjoyable experience for the entire community.
Specifically, in the Media Department, there are many plans for the summer. First of all, there will be a change in the active columns. The same columns have been running for a while, so it only makes sense to refresh them, retiring some and adding others. Our newest Editor-in-Chief, Fun X Time, has several more ideas that are being implemented, which will improve the QoL within the department. Through this, we hope to deliver even higher-quality media to the community. At the same time, we aim to make our news coverage faster and our post frequency even higher than it is right now.
This summer will for sure be a very busy one. CPA is hosting many activities, in which the entire community will be able to participate, either individually or as part of an army. Which one of these events do you anticipate the most? Can you guess what the theme of the Legends Cup XVI will be?
