Twenty years ago, a small group of people came together over a shared passion and built something that has grown into a community spanning generations and countless shared memories. This Summer, we are celebrating that milestone with a season-long tribute to two decades of the army community’s history, growth, and heart. From now until the big celebration weekend in September, every event, every activity, and every moment is dedicated to honoring where we have been and where we are headed next.

As hinted in our previous Summer announcement, celebrations were under meticulous planning, in order to prepare to the 20th anniversary of the army community; a remarkable milestone for all of us. The coming season will serve not merely as a collection of events, but as a celebration of two decades of history, achievement, and tradition.
Under the banner of The Twentieth Summer, members will embark on a journey through twenty years of CPA history, revisiting iconic moments, legendary figures, historic rivalries, and the milestones that defined each era of our community. Throughout the Summer, the experience will evolve as we progress through the years themselves, accompanied by new themes, activities, interviews, community projects, videos, and special events.
To make this anniversary truly special, four pillars of our community have joined forces under a single banner: Club Penguin Armies, Club Penguin Army Battleground, Club Penguin Army Judges, and Club Penguin Army Wiki have come together to form CPA 20, a unified brand created specifically to lead this celebration. Each of these organizations has played their own roles in shaping our community over recent years (Wiki for certainly more than a decade), and bringing them together under one identity reflects what this anniversary is really about: a community that is stronger when it works as one. CPA 20 will serve as the home for everything happening this Summer, coordinating events, sharing updates, and making sure no corner of our community gets left out of the festivities.
WHAT IS TO BE EXPECTED?
Starting this week, and going until the last week of September, CPA 20 will be rolling out a steady stream of community-driven events, activities, and surprises designed to get everyone involved, whether you have been here since the OG Era or joined more recently. Collaborative challenges, nostalgia-filled throwbacks, creative showcases, tournaments, big battles, and memorable events will be hosted. Each event is a building block, designed to bring us closer together and build anticipation for the great celebration of the community’s anniversary. Details on the main event will be shared by CPA 20 as the season progresses, so keep an eye out for announcements.
Each organization behind CPA 20 is sharing a few words on what they will be spearheading for the anniversary. Here is a look at what is coming from each corner of the community.
Club Penguin Armies
Club Penguin Armies is beyond excited to be organizing these festivities alongside our partners, this is shaping up to be something unseen before, and we fully intend for it to be the best community celebrations of all time!
Working closely with our Media Department, we’ll be rolling out special themed columns, interactive posts, and a string of activities designed to keep the community engaged and entertained all Summer long. Expect content that looks back at our history while keeping things fresh, fun, and worth showing up for every week. Alongside our Community Committee, we’re also bringing back something special: a full Summer Olympics, giving members the chance to compete in the spirit of friendly competition. It’s one of our favorite ways to bring the community together in this special season, and this year it’s getting the 20th anniversary treatment.
Behind the scenes, we’re also working on a big revamp of our social media presence, getting everything ready to deliver anniversary surprises. And of course, we couldn’t let this anniversary pass without the tournament so many of you have been waiting for: the incoming Legends Cup XVI, returning bigger than ever as part of the celebrations. This is just the beginning of what CPA Org has in store. Get ready, Summer is about to get full of aura!

20 years of friendship, of rivalries, of betrayals and upsets.
20 years of fighting for honor!
CPA Battleground, Club Penguin Armies Org, Club Penguin Army Judges and Club Penguin Army Wiki invite the entire community to celebrate this insane occasion!

Club Penguin Army Judges
Club Penguin Army Judges is honoured to be playing a role in celebrating the remarkable milestone of 20 years of Club Penguin Armies.
Over the past two decades, the community has evolved tremendously. Today, CPAJ serves as an independent judging organisation, a role that did not exist when armies first began competing. In those early years, battles were fought and decided directly by the armies themselves, making the development of a dedicated judging body one of the many ways the community has grown and matured.
As part of the celebrations, we are excited to help showcase how battles have evolved by looking back at one of the most significant conflicts in army history: the Colour Wars, more commonly known as World War I. Reflecting on these historic events allows us to appreciate both the origins of the community and the progress that has been made over the years.
We are also proud to be contributing to a cross-organisation scrapbook project that will preserve memories from across the community’s history. In addition, we look forward to welcoming former judges back to CPAJ as we celebrate not only 20 years of Club Penguin Armies, but also the individuals who have helped shape the judging system throughout the years.
We are proud to stand alongside the wider community in commemorating two decades of history, competition, and achievement, and we look forward to helping make this celebration a memorable one.

Hello from the Wiki Bunch!
We’re delighted to have been invited to help celebrate 20 years of Club Penguin Armies.
20 years ago, groups of penguins formed the Color Clans, sparking CPA’s first ever World War. The Color Clans were largely disorganised and lacked the structures of hierarchy that we have today, and yet they fought it out in what we now recognise as World War I. One Color Clan, the Reds, centralised under one leader: Korn. When more organised clans started to form (from which some CPA longstays like the Army of Club Penguin, the Pirates, and the Romans evolved!), it was with leaders and a growing sense of structure.
Now, 20 years later, we have leagues and media and organised judging. An independent committee runs Legends. We have our own version of Club Penguin to host our battles and tournaments, and it isn’t the first of its kind! 20 years ago, no one could have imagined how far we would come as a community. Hell, some of these things were unheard of in 2017 when CPA transitioned onto CPPSes. We’ve come a very long way.
We’re still coming up with new ideas and plans to celebrate this monumental milestone, but we’re pleased to share a few things coming up that the Wiki is supporting:
- Some statistics-related releases, including a Top Ten that no one would have thought possible…
- A weekly trivia series themed around different eras in our community’s history, starting from this week!
We’re really looking forward to the next few months, and would like to thank Club Penguin Armies for hosting this event and bringing everyone together. There’s so much in store, and so much that we haven’t even dreamt up yet, and we can’t wait to share it all with you!
Twenty years is a long time to build a community, and an even longer time to keep it thriving. This Summer is our chance to say thank you, to celebrate, and to look forward to the next twenty. Stay tuned to CPA 20 for everything coming next, and get ready to be part of something big.
