Community Predicts: October Horrors II SM Division

This weekend, the October Horrors II Small/Medium Division battles will take place. As such, we at Club Penguin Armies asked some community members for their thoughts on the upcoming SM matchups.

Last year saw the inception of one of the community’s most beloved tournaments, that being October Horrors. Since last year, the Small/Medium landscape has changed drastically. Whilst nine S/M armies competed in the tournament’s inaugural year, there are a much more modest six armies competing this year. The armies competing are as follows: SnowWalkers of Club Penguin, the Scarlet Republic, the Star Force, Pizzaioli of Club Penguin, the Shadow Legionnaires, and lastly, the Fire Vikings.

Battle 1: SnowWalkers of Club Penguin vs. Scarlet Republic

When analysing recent Top Ten lists, we can see that both the SnowWalkers and Scarlet Republic usually find themselves near the bottom. For the newly revived SR, this tournament will prove a chance to test themselves in their third generation. On the other hand, the SnowWalkers have recently undergone leadership changes, potentially increasing their chances. Notably, the Scarlet Republic have much more battle experience from past generations, which may make them more favourable candidates.

Annie, Fire Vikings Staff: scarlet republic wins battle 1 because they mog acp snowwalkers

Ellie, Scarlet Republic Advisor: PIC 3-0-0 no diff

Lia, Dark Warriors Staff: scarlet republic for da winnnn

Lucifer, Help Force High Command: Maybe scarlet republic?

Pranav, Fire Warriors High Command: My preliminary predictions are that Scarlet Republic beats SWCP

Battle 2: Star Force vs. Pizzaioli of Club Penguin

The next battle could potentially shape up to be one of the tournament’s finest. Whilst the Star Force are known for their non-aggression, this does not rule them out of the competition. However, it is the Pizzaioli who may surprise us again, following their victory over the Dark Warriors in Legends Cup XVI. Despite this, neither army have appeared in recent weeks’ Top Tens, and as such, there is great speculation over the potential quality of this battle.

Annie, Fire Vikings Staff: pizzaioli could lowk win battle 2 but it would be close (or cuddle kittens wins lmk)

Ellie, Scarlet Republic Advisor: PIC 3-0-0 no diff

Lia, Dark Warriors Staff: battle 2: not entirely sure but maybe star force

Lucifer, Help Force High Command: Star Force, call me biased or maybe krill threatened me with a forced resignation if i say pizziaolis idk

Pranav, Fire Warriors High Command: Star Force beats out Pizzaioli

Battle 3: Shadow Legionnaires vs. Winner of Battle 1

Following their recent announcement of a hiatus, many assumed that the Shadow Legionnaires would not be taking part in this year’s OH tournament. Thankfully, this is not the case, with the army set to return soon. Despite their recent departure from the community, SL have proven themselves to be fierce contenders through former battles and wars. Their potential opponents are either the SnowWalkers or the Scarlet Republic; however, with these three armies’ inactivity in recent weeks, it is hard to decipher a clear favourite.

Annie, Fire Vikings Staff: sl would unfortunately win against both snowwalkers and sr (for now)

Ellie, Scarlet Republic Advisor: PIC 3-0-0 no diff

Lia, Dark Warriors Staff: battle 3: scarlet republic FTW

Lucifer, Help Force High Command: Shadow legionaries since they’ve had a positive outlook

Pranav, Fire Warriors High Command: Based on this [earlier prediction], I would assume that Shadow Legionnaires have an edge on the Scarlet Republic.

Battle 4: Fire Vikings vs. Winner of Battle 2

Coming into this tournament potentially as firm favourites, the Fire Vikings are the only army to appear in both this and last years’ competitions. Following a recent merger with the Abyssal Tides, FV are setting themselves up for greatness this year. With several recent leadership changes over the past months, the Vikings are ensuring that fresh, strong leadership is at the heart of their army. These recent additions to the Fire Vikings are leading many to believe they may take home this year’s October Horrors SM trophy. Their opponents are either the Star Force or the Pizzaioli, and with both of these armies’ recent inactivity, it is much more likely that the Fire Vikings may see success. However, we cannot be certain, especially when recalling how the Pizzaioli’s upset DW.

Annie, Fire Vikings Staff: fire vikings would beat pizzaioli and sf but krill might pull some sh*t off

Ellie, Scarlet Republic Advisor: PIC 3-0-0 no diff

Lia, Dark Warriors Staff: battle 4: lia of club penguin

Lucifer, Help Force High Command: SL

Pranav, Fire Warriors High Command: At the same time, the Fire Vikings should beat SF.

Battle 5: Winner of Battle 3 vs. Winner of Battle 4

The Grand Finals matchup of the October Horrors II SM Division is a complete unknown. Whilst certainly hard to predict who will come out victorious, community members still make educated guesses as to who they think the champions will be. Of the six armies competing, only one can emerge victorious, and as such, all is still to play for. Despite this, two clear favourites seem to be emerging amongst the army community, those being the Shadow Legionnaires and the Fire Vikings.

Annie, Fire Vikings Staff: fv would win the finals because sl just came out of hiatus and sl loses every battle where im an enemy so yeah

Ellie, Scarlet Republic Advisor: PIC 3-0-0 no diff

Lia, Dark Warriors Staff: battle 5: lia of club penguin

Lucifer, Help Force High Command: Whoever wins gets a cookie from my HF office

Pranav, Fire Warriors High Command: With the finals being FV vs SL, I feel it will end in a close battle with potential overtime leaning SL based on the fact this is a tournament and FV have had some allies help at events and practice battles occasionally.
