ARMY HISTORY
Founded by Thunder222 on May 3, 2025, the Shadow Legionnaires became a prominent army in the Small/Medium Army Community and participated in many tournaments and wars. After a war against Void Troops, SL joined The White Order’s war against the Rebel Penguin Federation in September 2025, which ended in a 9-0-0 defeat. The army entered its first hiatus on September 30, 2025, but returned for its second generation on October 7. In 2026, SL allied with the Special Weapons and Tactics and won the S/M division of March Madness XI, earning its first tournament trophy. The Legionnaires later declared war on the Fire Vikings, eventually forcing them to surrender. In May, they faced a major setback when their server was defaced amid allegations involving their recently appointed leader, AB. Despite this, SL rebuilt and won the S/M division of Around the World Cup III. They then reached the CPA20 Challengers Cup Grand Final, where the Masked Bandits defeated them. In September, SL declared war on the Masked Bandits in Operation Shik, but the two armies reached a force treaty less than five hours later, which resulted in a victory for the Legionnaires.

HIATUS
The Shadow Legionnaires announced the end of their second generation and another hiatus on October 11, 2026, with Thunder222 explaining that the army had been struggling behind the scenes. Despite performing decently in the Top Tens, SL faced burnout, inactive staff, unfulfilled promises, and inconsistent recruiting. Thunder also admitted that he had grown tired of carrying much of the army’s planning while balancing college and other commitments. The hiatus will last up to three weeks, although SL hopes to return after just two, using the break to make changes to its server, staff, and overall organization.

Hiatus announcement in SL Server
Club Penguin Armies reached out to SL Leader Thunder222 for an exclusive interview regarding the situation.
No.
The Legionnaires know what’s best for them and their army. Now that they are back in the shadows, some questions remain. Do you think SL will thrive upon a return? What are your thoughts on the hiatus? When will we witness a third generation?
