On May 17, the Administration announced a new iteration of the Around the World Cup tournament, featuring multiple group stage battles. After these battles, the army community expected four armies to compete in the Grand Finals. On Sunday, June 7, the Fire Vikings battled the Shadow Legionnaires, while the Templars battled the Army of Club Penguin. Additionally, all armies showed up to the battles.
Fire Vikings vs. Shadow Legionnaires
The first battle of the weekend kicked off on Klondike, on CPA Battleground. The rooms chosen were the Docks, the Pet Shop, and finally the Cove. The judges observed “great completion” of strategy from SL’s side, as well as well-executed formations. In addition, the judges noted that FV made poor formation choices and repeated some formations. Both armies were reported to have passive troops throughout all rooms. Based on the judges’ observations, the Shadow Legionnaires were deemed the winner of the battle and of the small/medium division of the tournament, after winning all rooms.
Winner: Shadow Legionnaires

Templars vs. Army of Club Penguin
The final battle of the tournament was set on Warzone on CPAB. Subsequently, the rooms chosen were the Cove, the Stadium, and finally Casa Fiesta. Across all rooms, the judges noted a significant size difference between the two armies, with over 80 troops from ACP facing over 20 from TCP. Moreover, the judges also observed that all rooms were entered by ACP first. It was finally concluded that ACP had won all rooms, crowning them the victor for the major division of the tournament.
Winner: Army of Club Penguin

Finally, we asked Jojo Teri from the Club Penguin Armies Administration to ask whether he felt the tournament went as it was meant to. In his words…
The tournament went as expected for the most part. The SM community’s numbers were a bit disappointing but thats sth that was not surprising given how much “fluid” the SM community is currently. Its aim, to be one of the non main, more relaxed filler tournaments, in between MM and LC was fulfilled I believe. Now we set sail for LCXVI in July
And that’s a wrap! Lastly, the organization sends its best wishes to all armies that participated, and we congratulate the winners of the well-conducted tournament. With the Around the World Cup tournament drawn to a close, the army community is now waiting for the much-anticipated Legends Cup XVI tournament. Do you believe that the ATWC winnings were justified? Are you excited for the Legends Cup tournament?
