Just a few hours after having the community-based Multilogging Mayhem league stage battles, it is time to announce our next tournament, as the army community never rests. This time, we go back to the army-based format, with a new edition of the Around the World Cup tournament coming to the community.

Around the World Cup was the idea of the former Chief Executive Producer, Mchappy. It is a tournament consisting of a weeklong Round Robin format, with the top armies ending up in the Grand Finals. It contains a Major and a Small-Medium section. Last year, we saw the Templars winning the SM division trophy, after defeating the Scarlet Republic, with the Aliens earning the Major trophy upon defeating the Army of Club Penguin.
AROUND THE WORLD CUP III
Like the previous iterations, this tournament will also follow the Round Robin format, with small adaptations. Once again, and similarly to the past few tournaments, there will be both a Major and an SM winning army. The tournament will keep its unique feature this year as well, with group-stage battles taking place in all time zones. Speaking of it, the group stage battles will take place from May 26 to May 31. Notice that the colours were chosen to resemble the FIFA World Cup 2026 host countries, which are Canada, the USA, and Mexico. As you can already guess, the tournament’s theme will revolve around countries.
Unlike the previous years, this time the points distribution will be different. An army will receive 3 points upon winning a room, 1 point upon tying it, and 0 if they lose it. This means that an army that wins 3-0 will get 9 points. The same thing goes if an army’s opponent does not show up. There will also be NO overtime rooms in the group stage.
In the event that there are many signups, there will be Qualifier battles on May 24. If there is an even larger number of signups (at least 12), then there will also be a third group added. In that case, the dates will be unchanged, but there will be an in-between Qualifier round, after the group stage and before the Grand Finals. The 3 winners of their group will face each other in a series of battles to determine who will go to the Grand Finals. The Grand Finals will take place on June 7, during the EU times.
