The Businessmen of Club Penguin have gone into hiatus following a chaotic first generation. With the army going on hiatus only a few weeks after opening, let’s explore what the future holds for them.

History
The Businessmen of Club Penguin held their opening event on April 30, 2026, with 5 people in attendance. Being led by Mythrix and Fruit Salad, the two quickly began activities on the map, launching some freeland invasions. On April 30, they successfully invaded Rainbow, maxing 6 at the event. On May 6, they also attempted to invade Half Pipe. This invasion was unsuccessful as they failed to attain a size of 5 during the invasion.

BOCP did not hesitate to expand their relations with other armies. By May 5, they formed alliances with the Romans, the Abyssal Tides of Club Penguin, and the Wii Phones. With three alliances made, the Businessmen of Club Penguin decided to declare war against the SnowWalkers. On May 4, Mythrix announced that he was taking an hiatus, making Fruit Salad the main leader. Despite this, Mythrix continued to play an active part in the army. A few days later, BOCP also allied with the Pizzaioli of Club Penguin and Fire Vikings, with a potential alliance with the Templars in the works.
On May 12, BOCP attempted to invade Half Pipe once again. Their invasion was once again unsuccessful, failing to reach a size of 5 during the invasion. During this invasion, the Shadow Legionnaires decided to invade their invasion. Following this, Mythrix announced that BOCP would be going to war with the Shadow Legionnaires. Just a few days later, on May 14, Mythrix cancelled the war due to a lack of experienced members to fight it.

The next day, the Shadow Legionnaires agreed to mutually end the war, signing the Treaty of Shady Business. On May 16, Mythrix announced that the army would be rebranding to Rookie Gang. Currently, this change has only been made in Club Penguin Army Judges, with the BOCP server remaining unchanged.
Hiatus
On May 18, Mythrix announced the closure of Rookie Gang, telling troops to enlist in the Templars. At the time, Rookie Gang had not hosted any events for a week. This closure didn’t last long, as on the next day, Mythrix announced that the army would be returning on June 12 with generation 2. Fruit Salad stated that he is not returning for the second generation, taking a break from Club Penguin Armies as a whole.

Mythrix later changed the army’s name back to Businessmen of Club Penguin, while also ending the hiatus early. To learn more about the army’s hiatus, Club Penguin Armies interviewed Mythrix.
