Over this past week, the community has witnessed two experienced judges get officially promoted to Head Judge within the Club Penguin Army Judges organization. We will go into the background of these two newly promoted Head Judges, as well as an exclusive interview with both of them about their promotion.
MOON’S HISTORY
Moon’s journey first started off in the Army Community as she joined the Secret Service in late 2021. The same year, she would join the Templars, where she would rise up the ranks and get promoted to leader later in March of 2023. Unfortunately, Moon would later choose to leave her position as leader in June of 2024.
For the Templars, however, that would not be the last time they would see Moon in their leadership, as she would later return in October of 2024 for her second run of leadership within the Templars. Under her leadership, Moon would make many accomplishments, as well as engage in many battles against armies such as the Rebel Penguin Federation and the Elite Guardians. On October 25, 2025, Moon would announce to the Templars that she would be retiring from her leadership position, closing off the chapter of her second run as Templars leader.
SWEATER’S HISTORY
Sweater joined the army community sometime in 2013, originally starting in the Ice Warriors, but was later recruited into Special Weapons and Tactics by Ganger90. His time was very brief as he would shortly leave the community, but would eventually find his way back in 2015, where he would join the Takis. He would later rejoin SWAT within the staff positions, before transitioning over to a leadership role with the Shadow Recons. Sweater, along with Zuke, SCargo2, and Jaylen, helped revive SWAT in 2020, though his leadership within the army was brief. He, however, would return to the army on multiple occasions. Eventually, Sweater would lead the Fire Warriors, who would win the Challenger Cups II finals under his leadership as well.
MAJOR RISE
After the Fire Warriors would shut down, Sweater would find himself in the Penguins of Madagascar, as well as returning to the Special Weapons and Tactics for a couple of brief periods, where he would eventually go back to leading forthem. In June of 2023, Sweater would join the People’s Imperial Confederation as a member of their congress. Only two months later, Sweater would join their leadership ranks in August of 2023, leaving his SWAT position behind, and to focus on his leadership position with the Confederation.
Under Sweater’s leadership, the Confederation army became more active than ever, winning tournaments like Beach Brawl II and participating in the Christmas Crusade II against the Elite Guardians. Sweater’s ambitions strengthened the army, helping the Confederation—long known as S/M rise to the ranks of a Major Army. Although all good things do come to an end, and Sweater would announce his departure from the leadership in March of 2024, with wanting to focus more on his career and relationships outside of armies.
HEAD JUDGE’S PROMOTION
On May 15, Spotty made an announcement to the Club Penguin Army Judges server, introducing both Moon and Sweateras the newest Head Judges, or more so, as stated, Deputy Head Judges. As stated by Spotty, the re-introduction of the Deputy Head Judge role for both Moon and Sweater is reasoning of building the next generation of the Club Penguin Army Judges organization for the upcoming summer, and after that. They will also introduce a new position among the judges, called Senior Judge, reserved for the most experienced members of the army community.
Club Penguin Armies sat down with both Moon and Sweater to get more in depth on their promotions, as well as their future plans within this new promotion to Head Judge.
How do you feel about being promoted to Head Judge?
Moon: Very cool, Kanye.
Sweater: I’m very happy of course, but there’s lots of work to be done and right now I’m just focused on getting judges active again.
Was it always your goal to reach the Head Judge position?
Moon: Kinda, I dunno actually I think it’s really cool though. Glad to have this opportunity
Sweater: I’ve expressed interest in being Head Judge in the past but I didn’t think I’d ever actually get there, so rest assured I won’t be taking this for granted.
What are your current goals with this recent promotion?
Moon: Bring about the future goals of CPAJ and maybe make some changes
Sweater: To get our judges active again by any means necessary. Looking for ways to make judging more accessible, fun and rewarding. I made it clear when I was promoted that it should be a guarantee to get three judges per battle, not a hopeful wish. I’ve got a few ideas going already but if any army leader, admin or community member wants to start a dialogue on how we achieve this, I’m all ears.
Is there anything you would like to say to the judges who look ahead of you, as well as the army community?
Moon: Schedule more practice battles (and show up!)
Sweater: Judges, I appreciate all of the work you are doing. It’s a thankless job right now, but it doesn’t have to be. I’ll do everything in my power to make judging more fun for all of us. That’s a promise.
With this new promotion in the community, these two will almost certainly drive their fellow judges and the judging organization toward the next big steps in their journeys. Do you believe this promotion will bring a brighter future to the community? Will the organization succeed in its goals with these two by its side? How long will their new journey be as Head Judges?
