Earlier this week, the Templars declared war against the Dark Warriors, igniting the Exterminatio Sanguisugarum. This situation follows the recent Templar multilogging incident on Club Penguin Journey.

On September 14, 2026, the Templars of Club Penguin declared war against the Dark Warriors through a post on their website. The war — titled Exterminatio Sanguisugarum — will take place on the army map, and external involvement is not allowed by the war terms. This development comes shortly after the Templars were discovered multilogging throughout the summer on Club Penguin Journey. When news of the multilogging broke, the Dark Knight Alliance — which connected the Templars and the Warriors — fell apart. In the Templars’ war declaration post, they highlighted the failure of the alliance and questioned DW’s stagnancy in the army community.

Subsequently, after the declaration, the Dark Warriors wrote a post in response, titled “Deus Mult,” a satirical transformation of the Templars’ motto, “Deus Vult.” In the post, the Warriors defended the community’s stagnation and reminded the Templars about their recent multilogging discovery. Since the war began, DW has introduced Nitro giveaways, while TCP started a similar program — the Templars Golden Crusade — which will invite Nitro giveaways based on the army’s event sizes.
Before the war began, the Fire Vikings transferred 700 coins to the Templars on September 12. The next day, the Shadow Legionnaires transferred 5,000 coins to the Dark Warriors. These transactions were made just 1–2 days before the war began, bringing up questions about FV’s and SL’s significance in the TCP-DW war.
War In Progress
Until now, four battles of the war have been completed. Templars’ first attack began against DW’s Thermal in the US time zone, for which a ship was used. Immediately, DW deployed a ship to attack TCP’s Puddle in the AUSIA time zone. On the day of the first battle for Thermal, both armies reached near-equal sizes of almost 30. The Templars won the battle with a score of 2-1-0 [W-L-T]. The judges noted inefficient tactics and formation execution throughout the battle. Subsequently, after the battle, the Templars shifted their capital from Down Under to Thermal.

The second battle was set for Puddle on the same day, where the armies averaged 25 with negligible size differences. The battle was deemed very close, as an overtime round was declared before the battle ended. The Dark Warriors won the battle with a score of 1-0-3 [W-L-T]. This time, the judges appreciated the armies’ formation execution, including speed and coverage.
The AUSIA Battle of Puddle on September 15
On Thursday, September 17, DW attempted to invade Down Under. This time, there was a stark size difference in DW’s favor; TCP remained under 20 while DW crossed 30. The Warriors successfully won all three rooms and thus the battle.

On the same day, TCP attempted to invade Yeti. After three tied rooms, an overtime round was declared. Throughout the battle, the two armies maintained negligible size differences, both averaging 25 penguins. Finally, the Dark Warriors were deemed the victors of the battle, with a score of 1-0-3 [W-L-T] in their favor. The judges noted the battle to be “extremely close.”
The US Battle of Yeti on September 17
It appears that the Templars are aiming to invade DW’s land in the US time zone, while the Dark Warriors take advantage of the Templars’ less-performing AUSIA and EU divisions. For now, DW has scheduled an invasion to restore their lost Thermal; it is set to take place later today. In addition, TCP has scheduled an invasion to restore their lost Yeti, which will take place some hours after the Battle of Thermal.
Lastly, Club Penguin Armies reached out to whole leaderships from the Templars and the Dark Warriors to discern their ideas about the conflict.

Salah, DW Leader: The excessive political talk and the desire to make statements, even if it put an ally in a tough spot. This was only hammered down further by the multilog investigation and the silly response and behavior made by Ellie.

Borapenguins, TCP Leader: I’m probably not going to go outside much, which I wasn’t really doing that anyway because I’m always grinding Templars. Other than that, I’m happy to return to the ring again.

Do you see any future alliances with another army?
Borapenguins, TCP Leader: Maybe just strengthening the alliances we already have and focusing on winning the war. I like winning wars.

Sidie9, TCP Leader: We’re always considering our options, I’ve always tried to engage in army diplomacy throughout my career. When most major armies are in a giant web of alliances it’s a bit hard for anything in this community to happen. If Templars needs to be the army that doesn’t have major allies so that things in CPA can happen, we’ll play that role gladly. I guess we’ll see!

At the start of the war, the Templars seemed to be dominating the battlefield. However, the Dark Warriors later stole the show with a subtle improvement in their performance.
