New Beginnings

Salah began his journey in 2011 when the Underground Mafia Army attempted to recruit him. Although he never officially joined, it introduced him to the aspect of the army community. He later joined the Club Penguin Pirates Army, where he experienced his first war against the Army of Club Penguin. Shortly after, he was able to view the day of when Chaos Army of Club Penguin when they were active. Unfortunately, Pirates eventually shut down following leadership difficulties and late 2012, Salah joined the Dark Warriors, remaining there until 2014 and working his way up to second-in-command. Following the end of that generation, he moved to the Golden Troops, where he became a leader and helped the army reach first place in the Top Ten rankings.

He later returned to lead Pirates briefly before their eventual closure. His career also included leadership positions in Golds and Night Rebels, after which he stepped away from the community. In 2025, Salah returned to the community through the revival of the Dark Warriors, instead of joining by Xat, joined through Discord following the shutdown of the Original Club Penguin in 2017. Initially joining as an advisor, his continued activity and contributions soon earned him a position in the army’s Higher Command. Shortly afterwards, he was promoted to Supreme Commander alongside Midnight and Julia later on following Holo’s retirement.

As a Dark Warrior Leader

Alongside his fellow leaders at the time, Salah helped guide the army through a period of rebuilding and increased community outlook. One of their earliest achievements was its victory in the Summer Blitz in August 2025, where DW secured 15 territories. The army continued its competitive run by winning the Small/Medium division of October Horrors, achieving victory over the People’s Imperial Confederation in the finals. Later that year, DW also reached the S/M finals of Christmas Chaos XV, although they ultimately fell short against the Templars of Club Penguin.

The leadership brought further progress from their hard work and dedication, officially achieving Major status as of March 1, 2026. The army participated in several major tournaments, including March Madness XI and Legends Cup XVI. While DW did not secure either victory, these competitions provided ample opportunities for them and they took those opportunities to become a showstopper.

Fast forward to September 2026, tournaments were not the only challenges Salah and his leaders faced. The Templars declared war on the Dark Warriors following the breakdown of their former alliance. The conflict, Exterminatio Sanguisugarum, had five battles and ended in DW’s favour. Shortly afterwards, DW strengthened its relationship with the Aliens of Club Penguin, transforming into a brother alliance.

On October 18, Dark Warriors celebrated its 19th anniversary, reaching a maximum of 61 troops during the event. As of October 18, 2026, Star and Ugly had also been promoted within DW. Throughout these developments, Salah has continued to emphasise maintaining a competitive army while ensuring its members feel welcome. With games like “Salah Says” and other in-server and Club Penguin Journey events, the leaders are actively engaging its troops. His approach places importance on teamwork, communication, and consistency, values he believes are necessary for the army’s long-term success.

19th Anniversary

Club Penguin Armies received the chance to speak with DW leader Salah to learn more about his insights on his work.

What did you believe about leadership when you started that you no longer believe?

That’s a tricky question, because I don’t think my beliefs about leadership have really changed since returning to lead this generation of the Dark Warriors. If anything, the vision I started with has only grown stronger over time. My priority has always been to keep DW competitive and ambitious, while still maintaining a friendly, welcoming, and fun environment. At the end of the day, teamwork makes the dream work, and that’s something I’ll always stand by.

If you could give your younger self one piece of advice, what would it be?

The best advice I could give my younger self would be to keep going, stay motivated, and trust the process more. You do not always need to have everything figured out from the start. Sometimes you just have to step up when the moment calls for it and figure things out one step at a time.

Are there any other upcoming plans in your army? Can your troops expect anything new?

There are definitely a lot of plans we’ve been thinking about. As you know, the Dark Warriors 19th Anniversary is coming up soon, so we’re hoping to make October a really memorable month with special events and celebrations. Beyond that, we’re also looking forward to more fun collaborations with our brother ally, Aliens, who have been an amazing ally to us. There are still plenty of ideas in the works, so our troops can definitely expect some new and exciting things ahead.

What do you consider to be the defining qualities of an effective leader?

Consistency, communication, organization, and teamwork. A strong leader should stay on top of things, create an environment where growth can be sustained, and always make decisions with the army’s best interests and values in mind.

Would you like to add anything else?

Huge shoutout to every Dark Warrior who keeps showing up and giving it their all. I appreciate every staff member and troop who helps keep Dark Warriors strong, competitive, and most importantly, a fun community to be part of .

Salah’s journey reflects years of experience, determination, and dedication to the Dark Warriors. Having seen the army’s highs and lows, he, the other leaders, and their staff continue to look towards its future with ambitious plans. What do you think of Salah? What lies ahead for Salah and the Dark Warriors?
