The Dark Warriors have made additions to their leadership, entrusting Star and Ugly with leadership responsibilities. In this post, we explore the promotion of the two individuals.

The Dark Warriors were revived by Holo2, Subzero, and Coolguy in May 2025. They have since participated in numerous wars and tournaments. The Army gained Major Status on March 1st after consistently placing well in the Top Ten. Despite seeing several changes to their leadership pool, the army continues to retain the status, with Midnight, Salah, and Julia taking the charge more recently. Under the trio, the army has seen some major shakeups to its diplomatic relations, including a war against their former allies, Templars, initiated by the latter. The Warriors suffered an upset end to their Legends Cup campaign. They finished eighth after a forfeit against the Pizzaioli. The army celebrated its 19th anniversary last week.

In an announcement on 18 October, 2026, Midnight officially announced Star and Ugly as additions to their leadership. In the announcement, they cited the strong leadership abilities and skills demonstrated by the duo as the reason for the decision.

ARMY HISTORY
Ugly is an army veteran who joined the army community in February 2020 as a member of Aliens. He is renowned for his many leadership stints in armies. Some of them include the Army of Club Penguin, Void Troops, Fire Warriors and Secret Service. He claimed the prestigious Penguin of the Year 2024 award for his efforts within the Clovers. Ugly began his association with the Warriors in September 2026 as a Second-in-Command.
On the other hand, Star started out her journey within the Dark Warriors in early 2020, and continued her ascent, acquiring a rank of Dark Warlord, before going on a hiatus at the beginning of 2021. She returned to represent the Warriors in January 2026 and has been an integral part of the Warriors since.

Club Penguin Armies reached out to Ugly and Star for an exclusive interview to gain an insight on their plans for the army.
How do you feel about being entrusted with this responsible role?
Star: it is a lot of responsibility but i am grateful to be surrounded by my friends and im sure as a team we will do a great job
Ugly: I feel honored and mostly feel pretty ready to face the challenges and issues ahead.
Carrying vast experience in other armies, what made you opt to be a part of the Dark Warriors?
Ugly: There’s a lot of good friends I have in Dark Warriors, and when I saw a lot more close friends joining it then I felt more encouraged to do so too. I saw it as a fun opportunity since I’m more free compared to the summer where I was travelling and having great times with my family.
What are some of the goals and ambitions you want to achieve with the army as part of the leadership?
Star: i want Dark Warriors to be a warm and a welcoming community and i want the army to keep growing
Ugly: My expertise comes in structure and stability so thats something I plan on improving, everything else after that is purely unexpected and whatever comes my way I’m sure we will be able to achieve victory.

Both of them seem to be excited to take on their new roles, wishing to aid the growth of the army. What impact do you think these changes will bring to Dark Warriors? Will the two be able to successfully achieve their goals?
