Christmas is a key holiday in the community. Ever since the days of the original Club Penguin, there had been some of the largest parties being organised for it. Rockhopper‘s ship, the Migrator, with its four rooms, often made its appearance along with custom rooms around the island. Apart from that, as seen from the census, most people are Christians, so they are most likely celebrating Christmas themselves too. Even for those who do not, this time of the year is important for the community. It is the time when fourteen editions of Christmas Chaos have taken place throughout the community’s existence, and many other activities take place.

Christmas Chaos XV

Designed by MasterDS

Of course, as it is expected, the main event of December in Club Penguin Armies will be Christmas Chaos XV. It was announced on Saturday, November 22, with the matchups releasing soon. The first round will take place on December 6, with the finals happening on December 27. All active non-meme armies were invited to participate. Apart from its usual single elimination format, there will also be a trophy for the Small/Medium army that makes it the furthest in the tournament. The tournament is expected to take place on a Christmas-decorated CPA: Battleground.

New Columns

As it was announced on November 24, three new columns will be released. The first one is ‘CPA Conspiracy Theories‘, one edition of which was already posted a while ago, “BP Owns CPJ“, but it has now finally become an official column. It will be a more satirical column and will analyse some extreme to believe views that have been shared in the community. The next new column is the ‘What if‘ one. It aims to guess and explain how events would unfold had there been some different circumstances. The last one is the ‘HCOM Life Stories‘. It used to be popular when it was last active in CPA. It aims to analyse the army history and views of various people in the Higher Commands of armies while making them well-known to the community.

Extra Limited-Time Columns

Unlike the three columns mentioned above, the following two will only last for December and have a specific number of editions.

2025 CPA Recap

This one, as the name states, will include a recap of the events that happened throughout the whole year. There will be an issue dedicated to Small/Medium sections of the tournaments and a different one for the general tourneys. There will also be one for each season of the year, summing up what happened in each one of them. At the end of the year, there will be a concentrated version containing everything in one post. Along with that, there will also be the annual CPA Top Ten, which is expected to be more details than the previous versions of the past few years.

Road to Christmas

The second limited-time column will be an interesting one. It will have a form similar to that of an Advent Calendar, with the Community Committee and the Media department cooperating to release it. In each day of December till Christmas, there will be a new issue posted. It will contain a daily challenge, similar to the ones that were posted in the 3rd Anniversary week. People will receive rewards for the following: participating in the event, reaching a number of completed challenges throughout a week, completing all challenges in one week, and completing all challenges overall. The community will have 1 week to complete the challenges from the time they are announced.

Additionally, the post will contain a small ‘This Day in History‘ part about events that happened on that day. There will also be fun facts being posted in them, regarding stuff in the community. Some editions will also include a recent news recap, where there will be a summary of events from the past few days in the community. People will also be allowed to create drawings with them being featured in these posts. More details will be released on the first edition on December 1.

Christmas Ornaments

From the second week of December up until Christmas, community members will be able to submit their own drawn ornaments. They will then be placed in a Christmas tree picture. The final creation will then be featured in a CPA post. In addition to that, community members will vote for the best submitted ornament. The winning designer earns a role in our Discord server and bragging rights.

CCXV Bracketology

As is the case for most tournaments, CCXV will also have its bracketology. Community members will be allowed to predict the winners of the battles and earn rewards for correct predictions. You can take part in it as long as you are not a judge in the tournament. Additional details will be released in the Discord server after the matchups of the first round have been posted.

Smaller Community Events

The Community Committee is also planning some additional, smaller-scale events. Near the end of the year, three Google Forms will be released. First, a time capsule, which will include predictions for 2026. It will be saved and released by the end of next year to see to what extent the predictions were correct. Through the second form, community members will be able to share their gratitude to others by sending them a “gift”. Those will be posted in a channel similar to the Halloween grams. The last one will remain a secret for now and will be revealed later, in December.

There are also other events currently being planned, which will include CPPS-related activities. Tune into the Discord server to find out more as time passes.

CPA Staff Olympics

Designed by Edu14463

On December 1, the CPA Staff Winter Olympics begin. Staff will be able to earn points by completing various tasks within the CPA server. There will be three leaderboards to portray the standings. In the first one, the departments will compete with each other, gathering points from their members by doing department tasks. In the second, the members of each department will compete with each other based on the points they get through department tasks. The final leaderboard will consist of all staff members and will include their points earned through all tasks and activities completed. The event will last for the entirety of December.

Awards

End of the Year Gala

Like every year, CPA will host once again the End of the Year Gala. This time, its theme is centered around the 20th Anniversary of Club Penguin. It will follow a similar format to this year’s Summer Gala, having three main categories. The Community awards, Department ones, and finally, the Controversial ones. Make sure to attend it, so as not to miss out on who the award winners are! The rest of the information about it will be released when the time comes, so that it does not spoil the surprises.

Person of the Year

The POTY award is an annual award given by CPA, and previous organizations, to the person who made the largest impact in the community throughout the year. Like last year’s edition , there will be honorable mentions, award runner-ups, and of course, the award winner, along with their biographies. The post is expected to be released at the end of the month.

Legends 2025

Like usual, the legend induction process will once again take place at the end of this year, as it is decided who will be awarded the status of a 2025 legend. Similar to previous years, the process will be run independently of media organizations, with a council of army legends working on the inductions. CPA will provide further information on the process when the time comes, as internal changes are expected to take place before it starts. When the voting process comes to an end, the community will be kept updated on the results.

Undoubtedly, December will be a month full of events leading to Christmas. Are you excited for them? Which one are you waiting for most? How will they turn out? Share your thoughts about these activities, events and awards.
