A NEW START

We at Club Penguin Armies continuously strive to ensure that our community members are entertained, engaged, and informed. As the CPA media team continues to reach new heights, we are excited to broaden our focus on community engagement, not only through our new Op-Ed writers but also through our team of talented reporters.

With this, we have decided to retire two columns that have served their time and purpose, and to introduce fresh, energised content that not only prioritises engagement but also fosters a new sense of reader involvement.

Retiring and Reviving

Beginning next week, we will say goodbye to two of our current columns: Penguin Puzzlers and Lead the Way. Although these columns have had a significant impact in the past, we want to continue bettering engagement and introducing new audience preferences, believing that these columns have fulfilled their time well. Our other current columns, Advisor’s Advice, This Day in History, and Leaving a Legacy, will remain in place to continue to honor leaders, celebrate CPA’s history, and help allow others to better understand the impact advisors have within armies.

To replace these retired columns, we proudly introduce two new additions to our lineup and celebrate the return of a much-loved favorite: What If, CPA Conspiracy Theories, and Higher Command Life Stories. This refresh within our content reflects our commitment to continuously upholding our values of providing relevant, engaging media that grows alongside the community. We are confident that these changes will better support our readership going forward. Without further ado, let’s take a closer look at what each of these columns is about.

1. CPA Conspiracy Theories

Designed by Kedi Wain

Firstly, we are excited to introduce CPA Conspiracy Theories. This column is meant to embrace the wilder side of the community and explore the preposterous statements often tossed around in our chats. Each edition will focus on a different aspect of the community and a wild claim that’s commonly believed or joked about. This column is designed to be wacky, fun, and a look into what the zanier side of the community really thinks about the theories that spread throughout CPA

2. What If

Designed by Kedi Wain

Have you ever wondered what would have happened if different historical events in CPA had turned out differently? If you have, then this column is for you. Every edition of What If will focus on a different event in CPA history, whether modern or old, and explore how things might have unfolded if the outcome had changed, as well as what impact that alternate timeline could have on the community today. This column will dive into various aspects of army history while embracing the interesting possibilities that arise when we imagine a different path.

3. HCOM Life Stories

Designed by Legoman

HCOM Life Stories returns once more to the community. In this column, we will focus on the community’s current HCOM members. HCOM play an essential role in any army, and while leaders often receive much of the attention and credit, it is important to acknowledge the contributions of HCOM. We will explore their histories and their present roles to better understand who they are and how they reached their positions today. Additionally, these members will participate in interviews to give them a platform to share their thoughts about their roles. The return of this column is a wonderful opportunity for the community to not only hear their stories but also celebrate their time and impact within CPA

We hope that these updates will provide the community with content that is not only engaging but also broadened out from just news and events. Columns are an important way to provide community engagement, but to start new bounds from the perspective of the media within the community. We would like to thank the community for all the support and the Graphics Department, and our Media Team for continuously giving us the goals to improve engagement. Are you excited for the new columns?
