The Final Crusade: Templars Lose Two Leaders

In late September, Ellie and Shallissa retired from the Templars. In this post, we will go through their army history and what led to their retirement from the Templars’ leadership.

Ellie’s Career

Ellie’s army career began in 2025, when she joined the Rebel Penguin Federation shortly before the March Madness XI Semi-Finals. She later joined the People’s Imperial Confederation, became Fourth-in-Command, and helped build up the army’s troop base before PIC shut down. Later, Club Penguin Armies banned Ellie. After taking a break, Ellie returned to the army community in April 2026 and joined the Templars of Club Penguin as Fifth-in-Command. She quickly climbed the ranks to Second-in-Command, helping TCP finish third in March Madness XII and reach the finals of Around the World Cup III. TCP also awarded her the Medal of the Siderian Guard and the Templar Order of the Imperial Purple Eagle before her induction as a Grand Prior on August 29, 2026.

Shallissa’s Career

Shallissa began her army career in June 2019, when she joined the Recon Federation of Club Penguin after being recruited through Club Penguin Rewritten. She quickly rose to Third-in-Command within two weeks and became the army’s first General, taking part in 11 wars and three tournaments. In 2020, she left RFCP and rejoined the Templars, later co-leading during the Outsiders War and reaching maxes of around 30.

In January 2021, she joined the People’s Imperial Confederation as a Fourth-in-Command and rose to Commander-in-Chief within weeks, helping the army reach maxes of 15–20 and later around 25. She played a major role in PIC’s wars and tournament success, including its later victories in Beach Brawl III, New Year Bonanza S/M, and Around the World Cup S/M in 2023–24. She later joined the Army of Club Penguin, helped rebuild it to Major status, and won Beach Brawl II. After retiring from PIC in 2024, she returned to the community in November 2025 and joined the Templars as a Leader-in-Training. She helped TCP win Christmas Chaos XV, regain Major status, and reach third place in March Madness XII, before being appointed Grand Prior on April 9, 2026, during TCP’s eighth anniversary.

RETIREMENT

Ellie’s retirement came abruptly after she and Borapenguins were indefinitely banned from Club Penguin Army Battleground for inappropriate behavior. Following the ban, Ellie left the server without addressing either the Templars leadership or the community. As a result, TCP stripped her of any remaining authority and formally ended her affiliation with the army. Furthermore, unlike Shallissa, Ellie has not announced any plans with the Templars. Ultimately, while TCP expressed that they would miss her, they emphasized that the army will continue moving forward without her. Since then, Ellie started serving as an advisor within the Scarlet Republic.

Shallissa stepped down after realizing she was overextending herself as Grand Prior. In fact, she had already considered retiring in June and had mostly stopped leading by July. Throughout her tenure, she focused mainly on improving TCP’s website and Club Penguin Journey content. Therefore, while she is leaving leadership, she will remain part of the Imperial Court to continue making guides and website posts. Ultimately, she said stepping down will let her focus more on the work she actually enjoys.
The army’s statement, Transition to Greatness, officially detailed these leadership updates.
To learn more, Club Penguin Armies reached out to Ellie and Shallissa for an exclusive interview. However, Ellie chose not to respond.

How would you describe your journey within Templars?

Shallissa: My journey in Templars has been incredible. We did lots of multilogging and I can’t wait to multilog more.

As a leader, what has kept you consistent and committed?

Shallissa: Multilogging and collecting hundreds of stamps for my multilogs. It’s not much but it’s honest work.

Sha Multilogging

Now that you are retired, what are your plans for the future?

Shallissa: More multilogging, I made ten new alts today. It’s my one true passion in life.

Is there something you would like to say to the community?

Shallissa: The multilogging will continue in Avengers Doomsday. Like and follow for part 2.

Clearly, both leaders have contributed a lot to the army’s growth.  However, this raises some questions for the Templars. Would their absence affect the army in the future? Will the Templars be able to run as successfully without either of them?
