Army History

The army was established on May 23, 2017, under the leadership of Roseferri, who was also referred to as Manifest Red, along with her co-leader, Nullify. The army had originally opened its doors on July 4, 2017. Notably, during its existence in 2017, the United Republic Penguins (URP) emerged as one of the most vocally anti-Rebel Penguin Federation army within the community, with its leadership openly endorsing various anti-RPF initiatives. The URP intended to maintain its status as a Small/medium-sized army throughout its duration; the army primarily engaged to support the Tubas during the Great Tuba War. The army also participated in map warfare against the Acids and fought under the Tubas’ banner during the 2017 Summer Tournament, which featured a significant one-off battle against the RPF, culminating in a victory for the Tubas. In mid-September to early October 2017, Roseferri departed from the community, leading the remaining leadership, including Nullify and others, to merge the army with the Romans.

Return after merger

Following the merger, in early December, Moonlocks joined the army, which ultimately resulted in the re-establishment of the URP and its minor involvement in the War of Roman Subjugation. The URP became a founding member of the New Viking Alliance, formed in response to the aforementioned war. This alliance included the URP, Dark Knight Empire, and Underground Mafias Army, and later expanded to incorporate the Tubas, Elite Guardians of Club Penguin, Club Penguin Crew, and briefly, Rebel Penguin Marines. The URP primarily engaged in diplomatic support until mid-2018. However, the army subsequently faced a decline in activity following Moonlocks’ departure from both the army and the community. Consequently, in late May 2019, Roseferri decided to officially dissolve the army and merge it into the Lime Green Army.

opening Event

After nearly seven years, the United Republic Penguins have re-entered the army community, officially on August 18, 2026. The opening event was attended by three individuals. Following this event, the army registered with Club Penguin Armies, emphasizing that it is not a troll army. Additionally, the army did a tactic announcing an invasion of Tuxedo in 52 minutes, reaffirming its position as an anti-RPF army. Furthermore, Roseferri indicated that an official declaration of war and subsequent invasion will be announced in due course.

About the Leader

Roseferri engaged in the army community from 2011 to 2013, participating in various armies as a troop, including the Light Troops, Ice Warriors, and the Army of Club Penguin. In 2017, she assumed a leadership role for the first time by founding the United Republic Penguins. Subsequently, in 2019, she served as Second-in-Command for the Lime Green Army. Following her tenure there, she co-founded the Cuddle Kittens, a meme army that was a controversial army. In 2020, Roseferri briefly joined the Recon Federation of Club Penguin, where she attained the rank of Brigadier before embarking on a prolonged hiatus. Recently, she held the position of National Chancellor (Third-in-Command) at the Templars for a duration of one month. It is noteworthy that Roseferri is currently recognized as an S/M Armies Legend. Although she has communicated a request for the Legends Committee to revoke it, she remains, as of now, an S/M Legend.

Lastly, Club Penguin Armies reached out to Roseferri to learn more about their objectives regarding the army’s future.

What motivated you to open your army?

I can’t act like a United Republic revival hasn’t been on my mind for at least a few years now, albeit largely in the shadows as someone who was largely lurking on the wiki. The army undoubtedly has a strange history of contradictions: significant in diplomacy yet insignificant in size, leaders who made their mark on the community, and leaders who were nearly forgotten in their entirety, and being simultaneously in a historical era important to modern armies (the 2017 dawn of the CPPS era) as well as that very era being lost to time, defacements, and poor archiving. One thing about the URP is distinctly clear, however; the army has always been committed to the idea of forcing change even in the face of stagnation. Many army leaders likely start armies with the intention to simply grow big (or participate at a baseline level), especially nowadays. Many army leaders start armies with the expectation to change things and make big promises likewise. However, I revived the URP for one simple reason: I think it’s appalling the RPF can sit as this super-major that does nothing with the community beyond legacy tournaments. They can’t be bothered to show up for summits; they make no plans for war or proving their dominant status in the community outside of the occasional showing on the Top Ten. If it takes an S/M who has no business showing up and making itself known to wake the community up to this, then so be it.

Where do you see your army a month from now?

Holding Tuxedo as our capital.

Truth be told, there’s a lot that I could probably speculate, plan, and develop regarding the future of the army. However, I do plan to finish what I started over nine years ago. I want the United Republic to stand as the army that can make the points that it needs to — namely, that this community can be more than what it is now.

Are you expecting any diplomatic changes concerning your army soon?

The URP holds perpetual hostility towards the Rebel Penguin Federation; all diplomatic decisions will be made in accordance to this.

Is there anything else that you would like to add?

If you’ve sat here for the last however long in dismay at the current state of armies, there is a place for you in the United Republic. If you feel left out or failed by your army in some way, there is a place for you in the United Republic. If you’ve been wishing that some army would get off their ass and *do something* about stagnancy, then there is a place for you in the United Republic.

We as an army want to encapsulate this frustration, this disappointment, and overall disillusionment with the state of this community. We want to take that frustration, disappointment, and disillusionment that you reading this may hold in your heart and turn it into something productive: change. There is something about myself as a leader that many of you who don’t know me may have never gotten the chance to see, and that those who do remember who I am may know all too well: I play like I’ve got nothing to lose. I’m going to stand by the principles I set, and I’m going to war alongside those principles.

Vive la République.

Roseferri has reopened the army in order to complete the initiatives she commenced nine years ago. She appears highly motivated regarding the future of the army and intends to reinitiate the anti-RPF movement. What are your thoughts on this matter? Is it plausible that Roseferri will successfully achieve the objectives she set out nine years ago?
