BREAKING: Newfound URP Attempt To Invade RPF’s Tuxedo

Following the revival of the United Republic of Penguins, the army has already set its sights on the Rebel Penguin Federation. With URP announcing an invasion of RPF’s Tuxedo, the two armies could soon face off in what may be an interesting clash.

Army History

The United Republic of Penguins (URP) was originally established in 2017 under Roseferri and Nullify. The army became known for its strong anti-RPF stance and took part in events such as the Great Tuba War and the 2017 Summer Tournament. After several changes and a decline in activity, URP was eventually dissolved in 2019 and merged into the Lime Green Army. It returned on August 18, after nearly seven years, once again led by Roseferri.

Founded by Commando717 on May 8, 2007, the Rebel Penguin Federation (RPF) began as a rebellion against the Underground Mafias Army before quickly growing into a major force. RPF rose to prominence during World War III, fighting alongside the Army of Club Penguin and helping defeat UMA. Elmikey later led RPF through its famous Second Golden Age, winning Legends Cup IV and Christmas Chaos V alongside Silverburg. The army continued its success with back-to-back Legends Cup victories in 2015 and 2016, before adapting to the CPPS era. In the modern era, leaders including Link3000 and Gabegirl guided RPF to further titles, including Christmas Chaos XII, March Madness VIII, March Madness X, and Legends Cup XV. After 19 years, RPF remains one of the longest-running and most successful armies in CPA history.

The Invasion and the Result

The newly reopened United Republic of Penguins (URP) wasted no time making its presence known, with Roseferri leading the army back into the community after nearly seven years. URP quickly turned its attention toward the Rebel Penguin Federation (RPF), attempting to declare war and even announcing an invasion of Tuxedo during its opening event. However, the war declaration ultimately failed to go through as URP owned no land on the map.

Announcement of Invasion and the invalidation of war

Once the battle began, RPF’s much larger force quickly became the deciding factor. URP attempted several tactics and formations across the three rooms, but RPF consistently maintained strong coverage and effectively countered their movements. RPF went on to win all three rooms, securing a 3-0-0 (W-T-L) clean sweep and successfully defending Tuxedo.

Announcement of results

Club Penguin Armies reached out to URP leader Rosaferri to gain insights on the battle.

What circumstances prompted your decision to declare war against the Rebel Penguin Federation?

Well, why should the strongest army in the community sit on Tuxedo, unopposed, with no interest in the map whatsoever? The RPF leadership has said as much, that the current map regulations are something they fail to find reason to participate in. I want to take that to its logical extent, and encourage other people to realize that they also should. What do we as the community reward by letting stagnation favor super-majors? In that sense, it’s really simple.

In a lot of ways, the United Republic was revived in lieu of this. Stagnation, failure for the Major scene to begin making their fun and going to war, and we find that the RPF is, once again, at the core of that rot. I wouldn’t be surprised if a very large portion of the community agrees, if not many of RPF’s own former leadership.

What objectives do you aim to achieve through this invasion?

I’ve achieved one already. The United Republic is new, so new, in fact, that a headline about this type of army invading the current throne-sitter would be virtually impossible. That’s been proven false. The community should be willing to make its own headlines. The United Republic is no different. I think the community would do good to recognize what I suspect our future will be after this.

The second one is to make it extremely obvious what we’re about. I think most armies would only go up against the RPF in this state as a troll army, ready to do it once and then die off. However, like I reiterated in the past, this isn’t a troll army and this isn’t a one-off. We plan to make ourselves known. Irrespective of the outcome of the invasion, the United Republic isn’t a name I suspect the community should soon forget.

Finally, would you be willing to provide the community with further elaboration on this situation?

I’ve told it about as plainly as I can. I think there’s a very real impulse to find some sort of reason for this invasion outside of my stated one. It would be a good impulse to have, except for the fact that I really don’t have much else to tell you. I’m sure the current leaders of the RPF are fine people. This invasion has already been compared to two other things that I find inappropriate: firstly, The White Order (we have no interest in committing warfare in the name of allegations that ought to be handled in a more serious manner than penguin warfare), and secondly, Boxmen of Boxland (like I’ve reiterated, we aren’t a troll army and we’re sticking around).

I think too often the community has this poor balance of extremely serious and extremely un-serious. In this sense, I plan to strike in the dead middle. This is a serious invasion, and I actually would hope that the RPF takes it somewhat seriously. I think it would be somewhat embarrassing if they didn’t. At the same time, we have no interest in pursuing the legacy of ill-begotten invasions at the expectation of serious allegation.

In other words, we’re invading because the map sucks, the RPF thinks the map sucks, and we want to make a point about it. We’re also invading because it’s fun and hype. And isn’t fun and hype, at its core, what Club Penguin Armies is about?

The failed war declaration may have been a setback for URP, but the valid invasion still gave the new army a chance to prove itself against RPF. With RPF taking a 3-0-0 sweep, it remains to be seen whether URP can bounce back from this defeat and make a bigger impact in future battles. What are your thoughts on this invasion? Will we see more attempts to invade Tuxedo?
