HISTORY

Over the course of more than ten years, Coolguy’s involvement in the army community has involved changing roles, changing times, and maintaining influence over several generations of armies. His first interaction with the Fire Warriors occurred in 2011–2012 while he was playing Club Penguin. Crazy186 recruited him into the United Countries of Club Penguin (UCCP), which is how he officially entered the army scene.

He became fully immersed in the larger community from the beginning, gathering up knowledge quickly from influential people like Leon231231, Yey10000, Brooke, Mustapha, Alfrondo, Iceyfeet1234, Darkstar, Thalia, Wenny3, Matthebeast, Samsungy, Dakota, Humza, Rore, and others. Rapid advancement characterized this early phase, which catapulted in his induction as the UCCP’s fourth leader in October 2012.

MAJOR PROGRESSION

As the CPA environment evolved into its current form, Coolguy’s impact grew dramatically through leadership, publicity, and administrative growth. In 2023, he entered a defining phase as co-leader of the Army of Club Penguin (ACP) alongside AustinFraud and Calgocubs, guiding the army through a highly competitive period that included victories in major tournaments such as Legends Cup XIII, Trick or Treat Trials, and the New Year Bonanza, as well as achieving a maximum troop count of 61 during peak events. Under this leadership, ACP maintained a dominant Top Ten performance, achieving #1 16 times and winning key battles against armies such as Special Weapons And Tactics and the Elite Guardians.

As the 50th Commander-in-Chief in ACP history, his accomplishments earned him the Bronze Medal after Legends Cup XIII and the rare Silver Medal in March 2024 from CSY and the ACP Legends Committee in recognition of his ongoing influence. After his leadership tenure, he moved into CPA administration in April 2024 alongside Disha and Mchappy, extending his influence across league governance, war rulings, tournaments, and structural reforms.

In parallel, he continued to have a significant presence in the media. He started out working for Club Penguin Central (2018), Club Penguin Army Hub (2020), and later CPA News divisions, where he worked with Max and Flav on projects like “How They Began” and contributed to initiatives like CPA Digest and podcast proposals. Despite obstacles like writer’s block, changing content expectations, and long-form editorial production—which occasionally exceeded 10,000-word analyses, his editorial career advanced from Associate Editor (February 15, 2023) to Managing Editor and finally Editor-in-Chief, all of which shaped his reputation as a defining voice in CPA journalism.

TIME IN DARK WARRIORS

On May 23, 2025, Ambrosha approved the revival of the Dark Warriors under Holo2, Subzero, and Coolguy, marking the official start of the army’s return following earlier failed revival attempts and its controversial history. The leadership group later expanded with the additions of Justin, Midnight, and Salah, strengthening the internal command structure during the rebuilding phase.

DW returned to active competition and won the Summer Blitz Tournament 2025, while also participating in multiple conflicts and alliance-based operations, including assisting Void Troops against the Templars and, alongside the Romans, contributing to VT’s victory over TCP in the Second Divine Reckoning War. The army later reached the finals of the Small/Medium bracket at Christmas Chaos XV but lost to TCP.

Peak & Departure

The Dark Warriors were officially recognized as a major army on March 1, 2026 cementing their standing within the CPA competitive framework following their prolonged revival success. Following this, the army maintained its status as a consistent major force, consistently finishing in the top five and winning more tournaments, notably October Horrors, to fortify its competitive position. Under his involvement in leadership, the army achieved peaks of 40+ maxes and maintained strong competitive performance across multiple events.

His contributions during the revival period, combined with sustained leadership experience across previous eras, positioned him as a consistent figure in army development and competition within CPA. He also achieved the title of Small/Army Legend, reflecting his sustained excellence across both the OGCP and CPPS eras, and highlighting his long-term impact and consistency within the wider army community. Despite this period of success, Coolguy’s leadership career came to an abrupt end when he abruptly left without telling the army or the wider society, despite this period of success.

Club Penguin Armies reached out to Coolguy to inquire about his unexpected resignation from the Dark Warriors; however, he respectfully declined to comment.

CONCLUSION

A lengthy and significant chapter in the Dark Warriors and the larger CPA community comes to an end with Coolguy’s departure. The army underwent several periods of success and competitive runs thanks to his guidance. The processes and advancements made during his tenure are still in place, notwithstanding the leadership void left by his abrupt departure. Now that one of their primary characters is gone, the Dark Warriors enter a new chapter. However, his influence on the army’s growth and performance throughout his tenure will endure. What direction do you think the Dark Warriors will take without his leadership? And how much of his influence do you think will still shape their future success?
