Since the beginning of 2026, the community has experienced a period of significant activity and intensity. Let us examine the sequence of events that unfolded throughout the month.

The First Stretch of the Month

The month commenced with the Tsunamis of Club Penguin appointing a new leader, Tinyguy, who is notably recognized for his role in revitalizing Thunder Troops alongside XDemon, AB, and turtel. Subsequently, a series of alliances were established, including the formation of the Dark Knight Alliance by Templars and Dark Warriors, as well as an alliance between Shadow Legionnaires and Special Weapons and Tactics. These developments contributed to fostering harmony among the armies.

While few armies expressed joy, the Elite Guardians of Club Penguin announced their hiatus, intending to concentrate on other CPPS armies and their growth. Amid ongoing events, the Scarlet Republic dissolved alliances with EGCP and the Penguins of Agartha. Tinyguy was couped from the Tsunamis after declaring war on the Void Troops without consulting creator Denizmyn and was demoted to Staff-in-Training.

Amidst these events, the Crimson Sovereign reemerged into the community, following a declaration of war against them by Penguin of Agartha, termed the Hollow Crimson War 2.0. This conflict was promptly resolved with a peace treaty within a few days of the declaration.

Several days in January have seen considerable activity within the community, characterized by numerous twists and turns. The VT–TCP Reddit “war” shook the community and led to restricted posting rights on the Club Penguin subreddit.

As January progressed, an unforeseen development occurred with the shutdown of Phoenix of Club Penguin. The Templars reignited their rivalry with the Void Troops by declaring war, starting the Siege of the Hollow Throne with several raids.

Janitors also reemerged within the community and subsequently declared war on Tsunamis. The community also witnessed Elsa’s induction into the Templars Hall of Fame as a Legend. Since 2020, Elsa has diligently progressed through the ranks of the army, enduring various conflicts and tournament victories. She currently holds the rank of Grand Ambassador, recognizing her dedication as TCP’s cheerleader and longtime supporter.

The Tsunami continued to strengthen its alliances established with SWAT, thereby shaping relationships within the small-medium community during wartime. Furthermore, Villa, Justin, Alucard, and Scars led the Teutons back into the community after a nine-year absence.

Dillon’s Underground Mafia Army changes as it rebrands itself as the White Troops. Aliens also experience significant changes, as Sheriff retires from his position as the 11th Starship Admiral following his long-standing contribution to the army.

As the end of the month approached, a new army entered the community, led by Zall, Fruit Salad, and Turtel. The conflict between the Scarlet Republic and the Army of Club Penguin escalated into multi-army wars, with Water Vikings backing ACP and Aliens supporting SR. The war ended with the surrender of the Aliens and SR.

Concluding Days

As the month drew to a close, the community observed a series of consequential events beginning with the Janitors’ ceasing operations following the decision of one of its leaders, Zall. A few days after the shutdown announcement, Phoenix of CP rejoined the community with a revival event held on the same day.

Penguin of Agartha then announces a hiatus. The White Troops additionally declared war against the Scarlet Republic.

Approximately two weeks after the announcement of a hiatus, Lana and Kazoo both resigned from their leadership positions at EGCP. SR also celebrates its first anniversary, completing a whole successful year of founding as an army.

At the very end of the month, the community found another alliance formed between Aliens and Dark Warriors, forging the Dark Galactic Alliance.

January has undeniably been a vibrant and eventful month, characterized by numerous diverse occurrences. Armies declared wars, formed alliances, and drove growth within the community, demonstrating that more developments are likely as time progresses. Improvements to the map signify the ongoing growth and promising long-term prospects for Club Penguin Armies, enabling continued exploration. The future of armies extends even further. However, several questions arise regarding the prospects ahead: Will the coming months be as eventful as January? Will further developments within the community continue at a similar pace in subsequent months?
