Snork is a notable figure within the Club Penguin Army community, known for his leadership and significant contributions across multiple armies. Since joining the community, Snork has come across various challenges and opportunities, leaving a lasting impact on each army he has served. In this edition of Memorable Moments, we will dive into the journey that reflects his dedication, resilience, and unwavering commitment to his success.
Origin of Journey
Snork is a Small/Medium Army Legend. He began his involvement in Club Penguin Armies in October 2018 by briefly joining the Pizza Federation before switching to their affiliates, the Templars. Snork rapidly rose through the ranks during his tenure with the Templars, attaining the position of Leader in Training in under three months. In January 2019, Snork, together with many Templar commanders, initiated a mutiny against the army. Snork’s audacious action led to the establishment of the Winged Hussars, a new army he helped form.
As a founding leader of the Winged Hussars, Snork devoted the majority of 2019 to improving the army’s expansion. Despite not being one of the largest armies in the CPA, the Winged Hussars actively engaged in various significant engagements. Throughout the hurdles, Snork’s leadership enabled the army to sustain a presence in CPA, and he was the sole founder who did not relinquish his command during this period.
Achievements
Winged Hussars Era
Under Snork’s leadership, the Winged Hussars attained numerous significant milestones. In May 2019, the army ascended to the peak of the Club Penguin Armies league, earning the prestigious #1 position. This accomplishment was a direct consequence of Snork’s planning and dedication to development. Additionally, the Winged Hussars, as part of the New Viking Alliance coalition, played a vital role in the Templar Exodus, a fight that led to the army’s independence from its previous partners. This victory further established the Winged Hussars as a strong and independent force in CPA.
Pretzels Era
Later in 2019, Snork was approached with offers to unite the Winged Hussars with other forces. After careful thought, Snork chose to integrate WH into the Pretzels of Club Penguin, where he took control of directing the EU division. Pretzels had a development period, with event sizes peaking at more than 20+. Snork’s ability to inspire and coordinate teams was vital throughout this time, adding to Pretzels’ triumphs in late 2019 and early 2020.
Pizza Federation Era
Club Penguin Armies reached out to Snork about his most memorable moments.
Is there a memory involving a fellow member or leader that significantly influenced your experience in the army? How did that relationship enhance your journey?
Back in Templars 2018, I became close friends with Shinzo and Ripmam, then TCP leaders. We went to a lot of events outside of TCP together. Ultimately this closeness made it possible for us to share our dissatisfaction with the army and I joined the plans to form the Winged Hussars. Without this bond, who knows where I would be now?
Was there a specific event or turning point during your time in the Winged Hussars that altered the course of your leadership? What lessons did you take away from it?
Near the end of the first generation of WH in 2019 things were beginning to slow down for good and I began considering the army’s end. I received an offer from the Recon Federation of Club Penguin to merge WH into them and lead their EU Division. I was unwilling to do this but felt like it might be the best option. Fortunately, a saviour came in the form of Cena, who I had previously cooperated with on an assault against the Wild Ninjas. He had gotten permission to revive the Pretzels of Club Penguin and offered me EU Leader there. Of course, I jumped on the opportunity. The lesson here is never be so desperate that you’d do something you wouldn’t normally do – be it form an alliance, merge an army, or whatever else. I nearly made a legendary mistake here if I hadn’t waited.
Looking back, is there a moment you believe truly defines your legacy in the Club Penguin Army community? What impact did it have on both you and your fellow members?
Beach Brawl 2020 was the first tournament I led for the Pizza Federation following my ascent to leadership. The battles involved I remember were incredibly grueling, and we won the semi-finals by the skin of our teeth. The finals was the same situation. The PZF had a contagious energy around these tournaments that made it impossible to not feel hyped. Challengers Cup was the first tournament we won, overshadowed a little by what followed it, and I’m not sure who expected us to gain another win. I was still a new leader at this point, who had only spent two weeks in the army prior to my promotion. Though I’ve always been close to PZF, I still sometimes felt like the odd one out for not properly rising the ranks like the other leaders. I think I’ve more than proved myself though.
This would have to be the Challengers Cup. We defeated PIC winning one room, and drawing two. I think up until this point the PZF had been severely underestimated. While other armies had custom uniforms and themes, we were something of a “gimmick” army, using the premade pizza outfit. It gave us an edge though, for sure. I don’t think anyone could see us doing anything serious, but when 20+ chefs came onto the battlefield, we finally got the respect of a legendary S/M army. My previous army had it’s issues, and WH didn’t have enough members to have issues, so entering PZF’s community and seeing so many happy people was amazing. The night we won Challengers Cup was exhilarating, and made me realise “yeah, I’m ready to take the reins again! “.
Snork’s incredible journey shows the power of passion, endurance, and unrelenting dedication. Snork reflects the spirit of simple yet golden history, as a dependable ally who is always willing to provide a helping hand and easily resolve conflicts. He is a beacon of loyalty who inspires us all and continues to do so. Did you enjoy learning more about Snork’s legacy?
