Club Penguin Armies Tournaments
Following its creation in 2022, the Club Penguin Armies organization has carried on the tradition of hosting iconic tournaments such as Legends Cup and Christmas Chaos. Additionally, each administration has made it their duty to come up with new and creative ideas to keep the army community engaged. Throughout its history, CPA has seen dry periods where the lack of competition and warfare has been detrimental to armies. This has made tournaments even more important. However, with the standard format regularly being used for iconic tournaments, there has been a need to be creative and help breed new life into the community and tournaments. This led to the creation of new and creative tournaments such as the Trick or Treat Trials.
Without a doubt, Club Penguin Armies has upheld the traditions of the past whilst creating its own traditions. Ultimately, tournaments have been a crucial part of the community, with many winners and memorable moments being molded.

around the world cup
The Around the World Cup was a weeklong tournament involving both major and small-medium army winners created by Mchappy. The tournament started in the Round Robin Format, following a unique format, utilizing time zones to determine battles. Several battles took place during different time zones, showcasing the strengths and weaknesses of each army. Out of the two brackets, only four out of eight armies made it to the finals. These finalists consisted of one major and one small/medium army from each bracket.
2025 – AROUND THE WORLD CUP II
Around the World Cup II, beloved by many. Following the success of ATWC in its inaugural year, it was no surprise that it made a return. With many battles and one army notably missing, this tournament made for one of the most exciting of the year. Due to the number of armies participating, a qualifier round was required. In said round, six of the smallest armies competed in two three-way battles to determine who would progress to the group stage. Throughout ATWC, there were several group stages, one per timezone; as such, there were three sets of results. The Major division was capped off with an intense battle between the Aliens and the Army of Club Penguin. With the battle going into overtime, it was evident these two armies had met their match. Despite the continued persistence from both sides, due to superior speed and tactics, the Aliens would find themselves victorious, winning the overtime room, the battle, and subsequently the tournament. In the S/M side, the Void Troops and the Scarlet Republic made it to the final, but following controversy, the Templars advanced to the finals instead. After a tense battle that eventually went into overtime, the Templars took home the victory, giving them their first tournament win of the year, even after their notable size drop.

beach brawl
Unlike many other tournaments, Beach Brawl is a tournament made specifically for Small/Medium armies. The original format saw 16 sm armies pitted against each other much like Christmas Chaos. While the original version saw a familiar format being used, upon being revived in 2022, two years after it was created, the tournament saw a slightly different structure. The new format saw armies being split into different rooms, every 10 minutes, a new room for each army would be announced. During each room, they would battle different opponents. In total, three victories were obtainable during the 30-minute battle that spanned across three rooms. Ultimately, the army with the most victories would win. An overtime room would be held to help determine a winner in case of a draw.

candy crusher brawl
Candy Crusher, the first tournament of 2025, was a one-day brawl inspired by Trick or Treat Trials, a unique tournament created by former Chief Executive Producer Mchappy in 2023. In that event, armies chose between two types of rooms: trick rooms, which featured various challenges, and treat rooms, which followed a standard battle format. Building on this concept, the Administration introduced an exciting twist. Unlike its predecessor, where one room adhered to normal battle rules while the other featured tricks, Candy Crusher implemented specific objectives in every room, challenging armies in new ways. Major and Small-Medium armies competed separately.
This tournament consisted of many known armies, with the major side consisting of the Rebel Penguin Federation, Doritos, Army of Club Penguin, Help Force, and Aliens. On the Small/Medium side, we saw the Water Vikings, Elite Guardians, People’s Imperial Confederation, Scarlet Republic, Smart Penguins, and The Bastille Vanguard. Ultimately, the Rebels, on the major side, and the Water Vikings, on the S/M side, achieved the victory.

Christmas chaos
2025 – Christmas chaos XV
TBA
2024 – Christmas chaos XIV
After many gruelling battles, Christmas Chaos XIV concluded on December 21 following the Grand Finals between Doritos of Club Penguin and Rebel Penguin Federation. Having faced major competitors, including ACP and Help Force, DCP went into the Finals, arguably, with the most momentum. The battle was fierce, but the Rebels entered with a significant size advantage that grew as it progressed. Using their speed, size, and tactical skill, the Rebels pushed DCP to the limits. They swept all three rooms and ultimately earned the Christmas Chaos XIV trophy.

2023 – Christmas chaos XIii
On November 22, after much anticipation, Club Penguin Armies released an announcement revealing Christmas Chaos XIII. This time, there was a lot of fierce competition for the coveted trophy. Following many fiercely fought battles, the Finals were set to take place between the Water Vikings and the Elite Guardians. For the Vikings, it saw an underdog story come into its final stages. Upon making their way into the Semi-Finals against the Army of Club Penguin, most of the predictions favored ACP. The Guardians also paved their way through a tough path as they faced the Rebel Penguin Federation. Despite that, they pulled a massive 50+ troops to defeat the 2022 champions. When the finals took place, there was a lot of speculation over who would come out on top, leaving the community split. However, the Vikings’ determination to win surpassed the Guardians’, ultimately leading them to victory despite having a smaller size. This marked the Vikings’ first-ever Christmas Chaos tournament win.

Legends Cup
2025 – Legends Cup XV
The most prestigious tournament of the year was inarguably the Legends Cup XV. Whilst many armies have fought for the prestigious trophy over the years, the fifteenth rendition was packed with close battles. With many armies battling for victory, only one would emerge victorious, so let us dive in. The qualifiers saw four major armies involved: the Help Force, the Water Vikings, the Templars, and the Void Troops. Our first matchup of the quarter finals was between the Water Vikings and the Templars. Whilst sizes were close, WV took a slight edge, and this, coupled with superior formations and tactics, allowed them to take the victory. In a more tame battle, the ACP faced the HF, where both armies struggled to max 30. Despite this, due to unique forms and faster tactics, the Helpers won this battle. In the clash between the Aliens and the Void Troops, the size difference of over 30 made the Aliens the clear victors. Lastly, DCP were scheduled to fight RPF; however, due to the Doritos closing, this did not occur. The semi-finals began with the Water Vikings facing off against the Rebels. Despite putting up a good fight, the Water Vikings for no match for RPF’s size of over 70. As for the other semi-final, we witnessed the Aliens face the Help Force. Although closer than the previous battle, HF were evidently no match for the Aliens. In the grand finals of the most prestigious tournament of the calendar year, we saw arguably the two top armies face off in an intense clash. Despite their dedication and resilience, the Aliens found themselves with a size disadvantage of well over 20. Alongside this, their tactics and formations were not comparable to the Rebels’, resulting in RPF claiming their third trophy of 2025.

2024 – Legends Cup XIV
The Legends Cup XIV featured a double-elimination format, including a loser’s bracket, with nine armies participating. Multiple armies fought for a spot in the finals. Ultimately, the Help Force and the Rebel Penguin Federation, who had previously won the Legends Cup XI in 2021 by defeating the Help Force, both reached the winner’s finals. With both armies not backing down, the battle went into an overtime room, making the event forty minutes long. After a hard-fought battle between the two armies, the Help Force claimed the Legends Cup XIV trophy, marking their first-ever win of the Legends Cup.

2023 – Legends Cup XIII
The thirteenth iteration of the Legends Cup tournament was marked by huge clashes, which started in the semifinals. The competition was extremely tough, as many expected Templars, the previous year’s winners, or the Rebel Penguin Federation, the army who won the most iterations of Legends Cups, to win. However, the Army of Club Penguin had other plans. Their first round was against TCP, but the ACP were able to beat them. Moving on, they would battle the Elite Guardians in a tough battle, but they squeezed out a victory after the overtime room. Finally, the Clovers matched against the Rebel Penguin Federation. Against all odds, the Clovers took their opponent to overtime and beat them. Thus, the ACP won their first Legends Cup trophy in their 16-year lifespan.

2022 – Legends Cup XII
The first Legends Cup held by Club Penguin Armies occurred a bit later in the year than usual. The Templars were crowned the winners on October 15 after beating the Water Vikings in the grand finals and the previous champions, the Rebel Penguin Federation in the semifinals. With a peak of 60 troops, the Templars remained strong and dominated over the Vikings for most of the battle. The judges’ verdict read 2-0-1, crowning the Templars as winners of Legends Cup XII and awarding them with their first major tournament win.

march madness
2025 – march madness x
March Madness X was arguably the most successful rendition of the tournament. Featuring a surprising number of 16 armies, the Qualifiers kicked off in early March, with most armies fighting for a spot in the next round. As time passed, the tension grew, leading to close and unexpected battles that made the tournament exciting to watch. After several weeks, the brackets began to tighten, bringing us to the Final Four: Doritos facing the Help Force, and the Army of Club Penguin against the Rebel Penguin Federation. In their match against the Clovers, the Rebels claimed victory. The other matchup between the Doritos and the Help Force came as a surprise to the community. With two strong competitors facing off, the Helpers ultimately came out as the victors. Although every army gave it their all, the stage was set for the Grand Finals. With a compelling size advantage of 50+ penguins, the Rebels swept the Helpers in a 3-0 fashion and successfully conquered another March Madness trophy. Additionally, the Doritos were able to defeat their rivals in the third-place match and attain the 3rd place trophy.

2024 – march madness ix

Ultimately, it was the Water Vikings who emerged victorious, obtaining the title of Champions of March Madness IX, with the Rebel Penguin Federation securing second place in the tournament. Additionally, the Elite Guardians managed to secure the third-place trophy after defeating the Army of Club Penguin.

2023 – march madness viii
The first iteration of March Madness held by Club Penguin Armies. Of course, with its fair share of controversy. The Rebel Penguin Federation was crowned the champions, beginning its campaign directly advancing to the Quarter Finals as a result of placing third in the seedings. They battled the Army of Club Penguin in a close encounter on 18th March. The Rebels won this battle in overtime, following which the Clovers requested a review of the battle, rejected by the Head Judges. Therefore, the Rebels advanced to the Semi-Finals, where they fought against the Dark Vikings. The Rebels won two rooms, with the Vikings only securing a tie in the last room before they were disqualified from the tournament due to inappropriate tactics. Following this win, they successfully claimed their spot in the Finals. The Rebels then battled the Help Force in an attempt to claim the trophy. The battle was very close, however, the Rebel Penguin Federation retained a significant size advantage throughout the battle and was successful in claiming victory in the first and the third room, with the Help Force managing to secure a Tie in the second room. As a result of this, the Rebel Penguin Federation successfully turned out to be victorious and claimed the title of March Madness 2023 champions.

NEW YEAR BONANZA
2024 – nEW YEAR BONANZA Ii
The first iteration of New Year Bonanza held by Club Penguin Armies. New Year Bonanza is an ultimate battle royale where multiple battles take place on one server. This served as inspiration to Candy Crusher Brawl and Trick or Treat: Trials. This unique battle server format sees each army fighting for 30 minutes across three different battle rooms, encountering different armies in each of the rooms. However, the twist is that no army will know exactly who they are up against until the moment they enter the room. Major and S/M armies competed separately.
With over 200 penguins online, across two separate servers, CPA saw five concurrent battles happening at the same time. After a heated overtime, the Army of Club Penguin emerged victorious against the Rebel Penguin Federation. In addition, the People’s Imperial Confederation swept the S/M category, winning another trophy.

October Horrors
Continuing with the cycle of new tournaments, October Horrors served as 2025’s Halloween tournament. Introduced by Chief Executive Producers Edu14463 and Jojo Teri, this tournament was a one-day event with both qualifiers and finals occurring on the same day across different time zones. The S/M side of the tournament saw the Romans face the Special Weapons and Tactics, and the Witches of Club Penguin face the Phantom Republic. SWAT and PRCP advanced to the next round, with SWAT then facing the Dark Warriors and PRCP facing PIC. DW and PIC emerged victorious in these battles. In a close match, the Templars and PIC battled, leading to a PIC victory that brought them to the final battle. PIC and DW then brawled, and in another tight confrontation, the Dark Warriors took home their second tournament win of the year, once more highlighting the S/M powerhouse they had become.
The October Horrors major division was a spectacle to behold. The major section began with the Water Vikings facing the Help Force in a scintillating matchup. Despite a size difference of roughly 40-20 in favour of the Vikings, the Helpers resisted and tried valiantly. Unfortunately, HF were outclassed in tactics, forms, and, as aforementioned, size, leading to WV winning this battle 3-0-0. Our second battle, between ACP and the Aliens, was much closer, with sizes being roughly 45-34. This battle was so close in fact, that it led to a score of 0-3-0, leading to a three-way final. In the Grand Finals, the Water Vikings, Aliens, and the Army of Club Penguin all faced off in an epic culminatory three-way battle. With sizes being roughly 48-40-36 for Aliens, WV, and ACP, respectively, it was clear what way the battle would go from the beginning. The Aliens’ superior tactical skill and formations, combined with them peaking at sizes of over 50 in the last room, led to a 3-0-0 win for the Aliens.
The Super Cup marked the end of the first October Horrors tournament and was a complete success. It was meant to be a special extra battle between the Major and S/M winners of the tournament. Despite putting up a good fight, the Dark Warriors were unable to overcome their much larger opponent. With a large size difference and much superior tactics and formations, the Aliens easily swept their opponent, resulting in another victory.

Project Conquest: Blood Bowl
Project Conquest: Blood Bowl was a tournament inspired by Project Conquest which was held by Club Penguin Armies Headquarters in 2021. Blood Bowl took the concept of a map-based tournament and reimagined it for the modern-day community. This meant the tournament was structured differently, for example, there was no specific cap on how many times an army could invade during a week. However, there was a cap on the amount an army can schedule/be scheduled on per day.
The tournament started on Saturday, October 5, 2024 and ended on Thursday, October 24. Out of the invited armies, 10 accepted the invitation and participated in the tournament. The participants were: Army of Club Penguin, Help Force, Aliens, Secret Service, Special Weapons And Tactics, Templars, Water Vikings, Scars of Club Penguin, Spartans of Club Penguin and Winged Hussars.
All of the armies would share the same map but there would be two winners at the end of the tournament, one Small/Medium and one Major. The tournament was created with the intention of seeing an ultimate winner crowned, being the last army left standing. For the SMs, a winner was crowned after they wiped their SM opponents off the map. However, after many intense weeks, the major side saw three armies remain as the final day grew closer. After two armies withdrew, one army was ultimately left standing with the most land (regardless of the withdrawals).
The Army of Club Penguin and Winged Hussars won the Major and Small/Medium portion of the tournament, respectively.

Summer Blitz
Summer Blitz was the first tournament of 2025 to feature only S/M armies, making it the first of its kind. Conceived by Chief Executive Producers Edu14463 and Jojo Teri, it was similar to Project Conquest: Blood Bowl, SB introduced a custom map that allowed S/M armies to invade land and eventually invade others’ land, with the main goal of holding the most territory by the end. After three weeks of intense battling and freeland invasions, the Romans, the Dark Warriors, SR, and the Penguins of Agartha all stood among the top armies remaining. The Dark Warriors, however, were able to successfully invade the most land and, as a result, won their first tournament as an S/M army, establishing their newfound dominance within the community following their reopening.

trick or treat: trials
The Trick or Treat Trials was a two-day tournament created by Mchappy. The “trial round,” took place on Saturday, October 21 followed by the Grand Finals occurring the following weekend. In an attempt to provide the army community with a unique experience, it featured a 30 minute battle having two announcement channels for rooms. Every ten minutes, two rooms were simultaneously announced. There was a Trick Room, featuring challenges that armies needed to complete for extra points, as well as a Treat Room. The army has the option to choose between these two rooms and needs to decide at that moment which room they would like to enter.
The Grand Finals took place between the Army of Club Penguin and the Help Force. Ultimately, the Clovers swept the Helpers in a 3-0 fashion and attained the first place trophy.
