As the season changes, the Winter Troopers arrive in a flurry. Let us have a look at their origins and why they operate as a colony under another small-to-medium army.

Unlike other armies recently formed in the community, the Winter Troopers are an official colony of The Bastille Vanguard, a Portuguese-speaking army. With colonies somewhat rare these days, the last colony found in Club Penguin Armies‘ archives was the Pontian Warriors, created in July 2026. WT’s founder is Kris / Seila, a current Coronel (English: Colonel) and staff member in TBV. Previously, Seila was part of the Elite Guardians of Club Penguin, another Portuguese-speaking army, where he rose to the highest staff rank before High Command. After EGCP, Vitorwin, Aucraia, and Seila founded TBV together, but Seila left shortly after because of a busy schedule. Eventually, TBV shut down in September 2025.
In Seila’s own words, Cyber, known for previously leading the Fire Vikings, invited them back to TBV. Seila initially wanted to open WT as an ally of TBV, but Cyber convinced Seila to make WT a TBV colony. Currently, Cyber, TBV’s main leader, co-leads WT with Seila. Due to WT holistically falling under TBV, all staff members within WT are also enlisted members of TBV. At their opening event, they maxed 5 penguins, the required amount to open the army.
Winter Troopers’ opening event and entrance into the community
Club Penguin Armies reached out to Seila to learn more about Winter Troopers’ opening.
Why do you feel creating the Winter Troopers as a colony was necessary?
I believe creating Winter Troopers as a colony was necessary to give our members more opportunities, build a stronger community, and establish our own identity. Additionally, at the beginning, we would have the support of some TBV members, which would help WT develop.
What are your plans for the Winter Troopers going forward?
My plans are to make WT grow, become more active, improve our organization, and gain recognition within the community.
Do you have any specific plans with WT?
Yes. I plan to organize more events, recruit new members, participate in competitions, and continue strengthening our Army.
Do you have anything to add?
I want to thank everyone who supports WT and believes in our project. We are just getting started, and I hope we can grow together and achieve great things in the future.
The Winter Troopers are ready to grow on their own strength, while also helping and receiving aid from The Bastille Vanguard. It will be interesting to see how the two armies grow together, with most colonies in the current age dying out soon after their creation. Will the Winter Troopers ever grow out of the TBV shell? How will the Winter Troopers face decolonization if they choose to decouple themselves?
