What is CPAJ?
The Club Penguin Army Judges is an organisation founded on February 23, 2022. The judges in it spectate the battles and give their verdicts on who won based on detailed judging guidelines. The organisation has been one of the longest-lasting ones, with several Head Judges having gone through it. The Head Judges are responsible for the organisation and the maintenance of CPAJ, while they also communicate with the army leaders and train the new Judges. Out of all the judges, only the most active and skillful ones end up becoming Head Judges. Currently, the Head Judges are Shpec, Spotty, Yvng and the Deputy Head Judge is Moon, with Sweater having departed less than a month ago.

Army Community
T_T4321, also known as TT, initially joined armies in May 2020. His starting army was the Rebel Penguin Federation. He stayed there for a long time, even temporarily reaching the rank of Higher Command in August 2025. Aside from the RPF, he has also held ranks in the Aliens when he joined them for short periods of time after RPF.
CPAJ
While TT’s army history is not that notable, he has been an active member of the general community, and many people recognise his name. He joined the judging team on July 29, 2024, as a Judge in Training. Upon joining, he was very active and started accepting battles to judge right away. TT passed his training very quickly, compared to most people, and became an official Judge just a few days later, on August 3. His activity and dedication to the organisation continued, with him judging 100 battles up until the end of 2024.
From the CPAJ 2024 Wrapped
This helped him end up as the second most active judge for the year and one of two judges with a three-digit number of judged battles. When the CPAJ Wrapped, a statistical recap of the battles that happened in the entirety of the year, was announced on December 31, 2024, TT received a trophy for his activity. TT also received the Best Judge trophy in the 2024 Club Penguin Armies Winter Awards.

The Head Judge Journey
Given his activity, dedication, and judging skills, it was reasonable for him to be promoted to Head Judge at some point. This ended up happening on July 10, 2025, when TT’s training in order to become a Head Judge began. By that point, he had already judged more than 150 battles. For his training, a new role was set up: Deputy Head Judge. He held this role temporarily until his training was completed on July 22. On that day, with an announcement on CPAJ, JojoTeri departed the organisation, promoting T_T as the new Head Judge.

However, TT’s tenure as Head Judge was not like most people would expect. On August 13, during a review conducted by Spotty, Shpec, and Yvng, errors were found. Specifically, the judges announced two rooms for Room One. After that, while deliberating the result, they asked the armies to log off, then decided they needed an Overtime room after a few minutes had passed, and pinged the armies to log back on. In that battle, TT was one of the participating judges, so due to the severity of the errors, it was decided that he would redo the training. Thus, after August 13, TT became a Deputy HJ once again.
His second promotion came a few months later, on November 15, when he was given Head Judge once again. He held the role for about ten more months, with CPAJ having some ups and downs during that time and facing many problems. Eventually, he stepped down on September 15.
Following his retirement from CPAJ, no public announcement has been made, neither by him nor by the other Head Judges. Thus, CPA conducted an interview with T_T and Spotty in order to find out more about the situation.
What were the reasons that caused you to step down?
TT: been losing the motivation to do stuff for a while, most HJS retire after a year and it’s been that long for me. I felt if I hadn’t done something now then lord knows when I’d have left
What is your favorite moment from your tenure as HJ?
TT: staying up till like 4 am to get a capital invasion review done (my literal first review too mind you). as STRESSFUL of an experience that was it was equal parts exhilarating, reviews were what I mainly signed up for with HJ and it was pretty fun to finally do one
Is there anything you wish to have achieved but you didn’t manage to do?
TT: so many things i wanted to do, many of which are still in the works at CPAJ HQ so don’t wanna reveal any plans there!

TT: yea i wanted to say, i know the way I left wasn’t ideal but I really don’t hold anything against my fellow HJs (or ex fellow HJs? idk)
they’re all just as busy & tired as I am and theyre barely holding it together, I didn’t leave cuz of them and it’s not their fault
you guys gotta appreciate them more tho they’re hard workers, things are a bit sloppy at the moment but they’re doing their best
What are your thoughts on TT’s Retirement?
Spotty: It’s a shame as TT was a great HJ especially for our AUSIA battles, but understandably irl comes first so we wish him good luck for the future
How do you think him leaving will affect CPAJ, given CPAJ lost 2 HJs in a short time?
Spotty: I don’t think it will impact CPAJ, having a team filled with a new generation is not a bad thing, it helps to slowly pass CPAJ on to a new generation and bring a new era to the org.
What was the reason behind CPAJ not publicly announcing his departure?
Spotty: Until today [September 21] we had not heard from TT, it was mentioned months ago he wanted to step down in the future but nothing was said since then, we did not want to bring attention to this when TT himself left quietly.

Spotty: If anyone is interested in judging please feel free to apply in CPAJ. Additionally we are always looking for more HJs, we are currently in talks with a few judges, but if anyone we haven’t spoken to is interested please feel free to each out.
Since CPAJ is down 2 Head Judges in less than a month, it remains a question of how it will be affected. Will they be able to handle the gap left behind? What will the future hold for CPAJ? Should we expect a new Head Judge to be announced soon?
