For eight years, the Aliens have been part of this fascinating community, leaving their mark from its founding to the present day. Their recent anniversary makes it the perfect time to look back at their story and the influence they have had on the community.

HISTORY
Aliens first touched down in November 2018 and were founded by the dynamic duo of Sans and BestPenguin. What started as a small invasion quickly turned into one of the more recognizable armies on Club Penguin Online, with their events regularly attracting 40+ brave (or perhaps slightly confused) penguins. But, as every good story goes, the good times couldn’t last forever. On May 16, 2020, internal conflicts began to shake the army, while Club Penguin Online ultimately shut down, leaving the Aliens temporarily stranded in the vast emptiness of space. Thankfully, disappearing wasn’t exactly their thing. After their initial closure, the Aliens returned to the community on June 25, proving that you can apparently never keep a good alien down. Their comeback saw them reach a respectable 17 attendees, marking the beginning of another chapter in their intergalactic adventure.

Aliens Revival Event
ALIENS RESURGENCE
It didn’t take long for the Aliens to make their presence known once again. Just a month into their revival, they had already begun reclaiming their status within the community. Since then, they have consistently found their way among the community’s top armies, proving that their comeback was anything but a one-time flight through space. To this day, the Aliens continue to thrive, carrying forward the legacy of the army that came before them. Their journey has been marked by crashes, shutdowns, and internal turbulence. Somehow, they always manage to return for another mission. No matter how many times they’ve been knocked down, the Aliens have continued fighting to remain relevant and, apparently, extinction is still not on their schedule.
Over the years, the Aliens have cemented themselves as one of the community’s most formidable forces. Tournament after tournament, they have emerged as serious contenders, with the Around The World Cup II standing out as one of their most notable campaigns. Their tactical abilities have made just as much noise on the battlefield, most notably during their war against the Army of Club Penguin. In that conflict, the Aliens managed to conquer their opponents, once again proving that there is far more to this army than flying saucers and green faces.

ALIEN DIPLOMACY
The Aliens also ended a strong alliance with Rebel Penguin Federation during the RPF’s war against The White Order. As part of the alliance terms, the Aliens established an alliance with the Scarlet Republic as well. Following this agreement, the Aliens launched an offensive against the Army of Club Penguin during the Scarlet Republic’s war against ACP. However, only moments later, the Water Vikings declared war on the Aliens in an effort to protect ACP.

Aliens’ announcement of the Scarlet Republic alliance
The Aliens eventually surrendered after ACP and WV joined together to defeat them. Despite the setback, the Aliens continued to maintain their presence within the community. In April, they formed another alliance with the Templars of Club Penguin. From their early beginnings to their modern revival, the Aliens have continued to build upon their legacy. Their history has been anything but a smooth flight, filled with victories, defeats, alliances, wars, shutdowns, and countless comebacks. Yet through it all, they have continued to find a way back into the fight and if their history is anything to go by, the Aliens are nowhere near ready to leave the community just yet.
8th Anniversary
To celebrate their 8th anniversary, the Aliens leadership gathered their troops for a special anniversary event on September 8. The event was a fitting tribute to eight years of invasions, comebacks, battles, and everything in between. Eight years later, the Aliens are still here and judging by the turnout. They clearly haven’t run out of penguins ready to join the invasion. The anniversary event served as a reminder of just how far the army has come. They also celebrating the community that has kept the Aliens flying for nearly a decade.

Aliens 8th Anniversary Event
Club Penguin Armies approached Aliens leader Sheriff to learn more about their anniversary events and get a closer look at their achievements.
Congratulations on the Aliens’ 8th anniversary! Looking back at the army’s journey, what do you think has been the biggest change since its original shutdown and revival?
Sheriff: Good question, I think the biggest change is the atmosphere of Aliens as an army in the community which has definitely shifted during Aliens’s lifespan.
The Aliens have had plenty of memorable moments throughout the past year. Which events, victories, or moments have been the most special to you personally?
Sheriff: Oh, there’s been so many special events to me. Winning October Horrors and ATWC2, getting to the finals in Legends Cup XV proved our capability as an army and will always stick with me. My all time favourite events have to be the leadership promotion and retirement events, especially our recent anniversary event where two of my best friends became leader in trainings!
If the Aliens had never experienced their original shutdown, where do you think the army would be today, and how might its history have played out differently?
Sheriff: It’s up to interpretation, really. I wouldn’t be here, or at least I wouldn’t be Aliens staff. The community would likely have way more people in it which would do wonders for events, but there would definitely be less charm to it.
As the Aliens begin another year of their legacy, what message would you like to leave for the troops and the wider community?
Sheriff: we maxed 90 in cpab for bps retirement, aliens are still an active army
Fortunately for the community, the Aliens show no signs of slowing down. Their legacy is still being written, and if their history is anything to go by, the next chapter could be their most exciting yet. With another year ahead, who knows what the Aliens will bring to the battlefield? One thing is certain: their story is far from over. Club Penguin Armies wishes the Aliens and their community the very best as they continue their journey among the stars.
