With the conclusion of Legends Cup XVI and the dawn of the twentieth anniversary of armies, we officially invite the S/M community to embark on a new journey before the conclusion of summer. It is time for one last clash before we conclude the season.

With the end of the exciting Legends Cup XVI tournament, we are more than elated to announce the last tournament of the summer, a once-community favorite, the Challengers Cup. Designed to be a week-long tournament within the Small/Medium community, it will follow a default tournament structure (just like the Challenger Cups of the past), with battles being held during the EU timezone.

Registration for the tournament will begin following the posting of this announcement, August 13, and will remain open for a few days, closing on August 16. This is the second S/M tournament in this new era where smaller armies in the community will be able to clash and be able to show off their tactical abilities in various battles. Taking place during the Twentieth Summer, this tournament is one to be upheld and celebrated, as it takes place during a time of various other organizational celebrations.

With the typical tournament format, that being single-elimination, we hope that the reintroduction of the Challengers Cup brings a competitive spirit back to the community and reignites the fire of battle once more. The main difference is that the entire tournament will take place in the span of a week. It will run throughout the upcoming week, with Quarter-Finals having a tentative date of August 22/23, with the semi-finals following on the 26, and the Finals concluding the tournament occuring on the 29. If there is a need for a Qualifier Round, the Quarter-Finals and Semi-Finals may be moved slightly. The finals are at a fixed date.

As always, army leaders of the armies mentioned below should message an Administrator to confirm their participation in the tournament. The sign-ups will conclude on Sunday, August 16, at 3 PM EST. The following armies are invited to participate:

Further information and rules regarding the tournament will be announced alongside the seedings this upcoming week, on Sunday, August 16.
