On July 18, the community observed multiple armies engaging in the Legends Cup XVI Quarterfinals. To gain a more comprehensive understanding of the battles in the Quarterfinals, several community members were interviewed to gather their opinions on the outcomes of these matches.

The Legends Cup XVI commenced on July 11. This year’s tournament featured nine competing armies, including the Romans of Club Penguin, Snow Walkers, Army of Club Penguin, Dark Warriors, Help Force, Star Force, Water Vikings, Rebel Penguin Federation, and Pizzaioli of Club Penguin.
LCXVI Brackets
The Qualifier Rounds began with the Romans facing off against the Snow Walkers of Club Penguin. The battle was close in terms of troops, but the Romans claimed dominance with better tactics, speed, and formations. The match ended with the score tallying to 2-1-0 in favor of the Romans. Although SWCP lost, they fought till the end of the battle, showcasing their capability to grow.
Club Penguin Armies contacted numerous community members to solicit their opinions concerning the Quarterfinals.
Romans vs. the Army of Club Penguin
On July 18, 2pm EST, the Romans faced off against the Clovers. The battle concluded in favor of the Army of Club Penguin because the Romans couldn’t reach the max of five troops. Despite this battle being one-sided, the Romans have yet to rebuild themselves after a long period of inactivity.

Ellie, Templars Leader-in-Training: Why are we still forcing S/M’s to battle super majors we are fully capable of making separate brackets
Stefan, Community Member: I wasn’t surprised by the results, Romans is like a top 15 army going against the #1 army right now.
Leo, Water Vikings Staff: I wasn’t surprised with this result, the Romans were clearly at a disadvantage, since ACP is currently one of the bigger armies, if not the biggest one.
AustinFruad, Fire Warriors Leader: As usual, THE GREEN MACHINE CONQUERS! In all honesty, I think we all expected ACP advancing to the next round, but I also anticipated some fight from the Romans too.
Dark Warriors vs. Help Force
Room 1
On July 18, 3pm EST, the Dark Warriors faced off against the Help Force. The battle commenced with changes made within the judging team due to the closeness of the battle. Help Force entered the Forts first and immediately took an arrow. DW countered with an upside-down T. Though the difference in size was noticeable, with HF having 35 troops and DW’s with 29. Both formations were terrible, and Help Force decided to change at :02, water falling into a Plus. Following a bomb from Dark Warriors of their own. Neither army stood out initially, with both having major faults. At :05, both armies made a triangle, with Help Force being more visible. Help Force was much faster and more awake throughout the room, with Dark Warriors’ only redeeming factor being the equal size count. Ultimately, Help Force won this room.
Room 2
In the second room, Help Force entered first with Dark Warriors following behind. Dark Warriors made an upside-down triangle, while Help Force made an upside-down T. Help Force had the better formation and appeared much larger, despite the size being nearly equal. Both armies had great formations, but the Help Force knocked a good bit out of the DW’s plus, countering it. At :16, both armies moved and surrounded the room. Help Force ultimately held control throughout a majority of the room, appeared much larger in size, had fewer AFKs, and was more awake and faster. The second room concluded with another HF win.
Room 3
In the third room, Help Force entered first. Both armies took an upside-down T, but upon realizing that DW was being covered, they changed to an upside-down Y. Both formations looked neat, but DW’s appeared smaller. After bombing, Help Force made a T formation, and it was large and in charge. DW took a little bit longer to make a formation due to an extended bomb, but eventually settled on a Z. Despite the Z formation being out of shape, they still covered HF’s vertical. After both sides moved again, Help Force made an X, while DW formed a V. Throughout the course of the room, Help Force exhibited a significantly more dominant presence. Their formations were notably more orderly and appeared larger. While Dark Warriors performed adequately, Help Force consistently held the upper hand in every room.
The match concluded with a conspicuous Help force victory in all three rooms.
Ellie, Templars Leader-in-Training: Only real battle of quarter finals and unfortunately it was wildly uninteresting due to DW completely dropping the ball tactically. HF tactics are usually somewhat funny at least
Stefan, Community Member: I thought this battle would be way closer, but I guess DW weren’t ready enough to battle HF
Leo, Water Vikings Staff: I am quite surprised, I though Dark Vikings would at least tie or win more rooms, but apparently, they still have to work more for that
AustinFruad, Fire Warriors Leader: Definitely one of the best quarterfinal battles, with both armies giving it their best efforts. I was personally cheering for HF, and they did not disappoint. I read through the judge’s summary, Help Force was just superior in tactics, which led to their victory. Congratulations to Help Force for advancing and stand proud, Dark Warriors.
Water Vikings vs. Star Force
On July 18 at 3pm EST, the Water Vikings competed against the Star Force. The battle concluded with the Water Vikings emerging victorious, as the Star Force was unable to attain a troop strength of five. Although Star Force lost to the Vikings, they have yet to prove their capability in tournaments.

Stefan, Community Member: I think the winner here was clear, we had over 15x their size and its a Major vs S/M army battle
Leo, Water Vikings: Once more, I’m not surprised at all, due to the difference between us and Star Force, they still have a lot of things to work on.
AustinFruad, Fire Warriors Leader: Star Force could have tried, regardless, congratulations to Water Vikings for advancing.
Rebel Penguin Federation vs. Pizzaioli of Club Penguin
On July 18, 4pm EST, the Rebel Penguin Federation competed against the Pizzaioli of Club Penguin. The match ended with a victory for the Rebels, as the Pizzaioli failed to meet the minimum troop requirement. While there is limited information available regarding the Pizzaioli, the RPF has previously secured victory in the Legends Cup XV and has demonstrated consistent dominance in various tournaments throughout the year.

Leo, Water Vikings Staff: Same thing. I also don’t think it makes sense to even go to a tournament such as Legends Cup, just to max less than 5, they also have a lot of things to work. RPF was clearly in advantage, since theres a huge difference between those two armies.
AustinFruad, Fire Warriors Leader: This battle(?) speaks for itself, congratulations to RPF for winning.
Following the conclusion of the quarterfinal matches and their outcomes, there is little doubt that the semifinals will be equally exhilarating. What are your thoughts regarding the quarterfinal results? What are your expectations for the semifinals?
