LEAGUE HISTORY

On July 1, 2022, Club Penguin Army Network and Club Penguin Army Headquarters merged to form Club Penguin Armies. This marked an era of unity for the community, with CPA becoming one of the longest-lasting organizations of the CPPS era. Throughout the history of the org, there have been countless admins and staff who have ushered in new eras of growth despite setbacks. This week, we set out to honor our history by going back in time and looking at the work of each admin and what they did for the community.

Legends Cup XIV

Today, we will talk about the third year of the CPA (July 2024 – June 2025). It is the year that basically connects the current CPA era to the early CPA one. The year began with Mchappy announcing the results of Round One of the Legends Cup XIV tournament. It was one of the most controversial and discussed recent tournaments because of its format. Unlike the usual ones, LCXIV had a double elimination format, which made it last much longer. Armies had to be eliminated twice in order to leave the tournament. After weeks of battles, the winner of the tournament was the Help Force

Administration Changes

That era was also marked by many administrative changes. The administration in July 2024 was made of Coolguy and Mchappy. Shortly after, Mare also joined the team, with Mchappy stepping down as soon as the Legends Cup ended. Several months later, in December, Edu14463 also became an administrator. As time passed, Snork joined the team too, in April of the next year (2025). During the same month, a few weeks later, Mare resigned. Then June came, bringing huge changes to the team. First, Coolguy resigned, then a week later Snork did the same, with JojoTeri being promoted at the same time. At the end of the 1 year, the administration was made of Edu14463 and JojoTeri.

Community and Internal

Of course, internally, there were several changes in the staff team, with the Department Heads and staff members changing over time. There were promotions and resignations in most departments. Additionally, CPA started the Quality Check series to receive suggestions, criticism, and evaluation more directly from the community members.

Community-wise, the league kept hosting activities for its members. During the summer, there was a variety of activities, starting from ones to celebrate the second anniversary, to the Summer Gala and more. Apart from the Summer Gala, there was also the annual End of the Year Gala.

Also, shoutout to the April Fool’s celebrations during which Mare got removed from the Administration, Superhero was hired as an Admin, community members became advisors and CPA entered a war against the Club Penguin Army Judges.

Of course, apart from activities, there were also several Spotlight Investigations, as there are always multiloggers to catch.

Tournaments

Apart from the Legends Cup, there were several more tournaments. During the summer, Beach Brawl IV also took place. It was a tournament involving Small and Medium armies only. Initially aiming to have 6 participants, it ended up being a 1vs1. The Water Vikings managed to come to the top and win the trophy of the tournament.

The next tournament was Project Conquest: Blood Bowl. It was a map-based tournament, using some niche mechanics to make the map more competitive. It had several armies participating and was met with great support and hype, ending up with over 80 invasions in its duration. Unfortunately, the biggest flaw was the armies’ ability to abuse loopholes, which made the tourney less fun for some. The Army of Club Penguin was the Major winner of the tourney, while the Winged Hussars were the SM one.

After that, it was time for Christmas Chaos XIV. It was a normal single elimination tournament without any twists. The Rebel Penguin Federation managed to win the trophy. After CC, a Valentine’s tournament followed. This was Candy Crusher, which had a unique format and a points system, under only one battle. The Rebel Penguin Federation won the major trophy, while the Water Vikings won the SM one.

Moving on, in the spring, the first tournament that was hosted was the March Madness X. Similarly to the CC, it was a single elimination tournament without twists. The Rebel Penguin Federation managed to win this trophy too. The last tournament was the Around the World Cup II. It followed the same format as its first iteration, with Round Robin, a points system, and an SM and Major winner. The Aliens won the Major section of the tourney, while the Templars won the SM one.
