Welcome to another edition of Leaving a Legacy, a column highlighting members inducted into the Hall of Fame. In this edition, we take a look at Fun X Time, also known as Arnadal or Krill.

Journey
Krill’s journey through the Club Penguin armies community began in February 2020 when he joined the Club Penguin Online Army League. On 28 February 2020, he was recruited into Aliens by Bestpenguin. He quickly rose to Staff in Training, but due to internal drama within Aliens, he was banned. Despite this, he received the Active Troop and Champion awards in recognition of his contributions.
In June 2020, he was recruited into Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) by founder Ganger90 after being identified through league listings. He joined the SWAT Discord server and steadily progressed through the ranks, reaching Major General by September 2020. His advancement continued with a promotion to Fourth-in-Command on 11 October 2020, followed by further recognition during 2021, including a recruitment competition win and eventual elevation to Second-in-Command on 21 December 2021 under former leader Mare. During this period, he also developed solo leadership capabilities while the broader COVID-era environment accelerated his availability and involvement.
PROGRESSION
By 2022, he reached Leader-in-Training status and was nominated for the 2022 Leadership Elections, where he delivered a featured speech on SWAT’s website but ultimately did not win. Despite this, his influence expanded into technical and structural development, particularly through his work on the SWAT Discord bot, which introduced economy features, Club Penguin commands, event systems, countdowns, reminders, and other administrative tools before being redesigned the following year. In February 2023, he temporarily stepped away due to academic commitments but returned in March 2023 following organizational encouragement from Coolguy. After Coolguy’s resignation, he began taking more independent initiative within SWAT, even as earlier inactivity had impacted his rank progression.
In November 2023, he led a friendly raid against the Elite Guardians, which turned into a full-fledged conflict owing to miscommunication. During the war, retiring commander Legoman promoted him to SWAT Commander, making him the 82nd person to hold the position. Along with Fwapo and Bull Hour, he joined SWAT’s leadership team and helped create the SWAT Constitution, which attempted to formalize internal governance and expectations. Throughout 2023 and 2024, he fought in various wars, including one against the Templars and another in World War IX, maintaining active operational engagement across engagements.
By December 2024, he had established his leadership presence by implementing new administrative procedures, including monthly newsletters, while also managing SWAT during a period of decreased co-leadership participation owing to resignations and inactivity. Despite these obstacles, SWAT stayed in the Top Ten army rankings and continued to compete in important events including New Year Bonanza 2024, March Madness IX, Around The World Cup I, Legends Cup XIV, Project Conquest: Blood Bowl, and Christmas Chaos XIV. He also planned an internal Olympics event and helped to form alliances with the International United Armies, which comprised SWAT, Squids, Secret Service, and Aliens.
However, internal conflict within SWAT eventually led to the departure of several leaders, including himself, Zooy, and Fwapo, indicating a structural breakdown in leadership continuity. Following his resignation, he returned to the Aliens, where the leadership reinstated him as Staff in Training to rebuild trust before promoting him to Fifth in Command and subsequently elevating him to Fourth in Command within High Command, a position he currently holds. In parallel, he became associated with the Weeknds and Star Force earlier in his journey, while also serving as Editor-in-Chief of Club Penguin Armies broadening his influence beyond direct army leadership to media and documentation.

Krill’s retirement message
Club Penguin Armies reached out to Fun X Time for an interview
1. Who do you consider the most important person in your CPA career?
None. There are numerous important people to me, including Fwapo, Bestpenguin, Ams, Sheriff, Zooy, SUHL2, Tiger, Noxalore, Peter, bup3787, and EAZY BLACK, as well as many others, but I would not rank a single individual as “the most important.”
2. When did you realize this would be more than just a hobby?
When I formed the Star Force after leaving the Special Weapons and Tactics, I realized that I could build a prosperous community of my own. This was a major creativity initiative, and I’m glad to see this as more than just a hobby.
3. What does Aliens, SWAT, and Heroes of Club Penguin (Formerly “The Penguin Federation Army”) mean to you? Answer separately for each.
The Aliens, being my first army, meant a lot to me. It was my starting point, and thanks to Bestpenguin’s guidance, I have established a more elevated position in the army community. In 2020, I spent some time with the Aliens. Despite things ending abruptly back then, I managed to find a place in the Aliens by the end of 2024.
The Special Weapons and Tactics, where I spent the longest period of my army career, still gives me some nostalgic vibes. For almost four grand years, I learned and worked on my leadership skills. Even though I may not support what it has become over time, it was certainly a place from which I share many different memories.
The Heroes of Club Penguin was a pretty short-lived army. I wouldn’t say that the era was an important time of my army career, but it was a stepping stone. Therefore, I’m filled with pride.
4. How was it creating an army of your own (Namely Heroes of Club Penguin, formerly “The Penguin Federation Army”)?
I created the Penguin Federation Army, which was later rebranded into the Heroes of Club Penguin, very long ago in 2020. I was not at all trained back then, and so the army was not quite thriving. I realized that I needed a lot of army skills to work, and I couldn’t believe it took some years to master them.
5. What would you say to someone wishing to create or lead an army of their own?
I want to tell anyone motivated to create their own army one important thing: don’t give up if you mean it. Many people are ambitious to open their own army, get people together, and hit the battlefield. However, creating an army from scratch does take some time. It’s good to try, though.
6. What was your favorite moment from your time in the army community? Does not per se have to be an event involving you.
There are too many favorite memories from across my army career to look at. The moments when I entered SWAT’s leadership, led Aliens through a tournament battle, opened SF, and when I was told that I’m eligible for being Editor-in-Chief at Club Penguin Armies — are all valuable memories. I’m grateful to be living in this world of Club Penguin Armies.
His journey was not the most complex, but it certainly was a good one. Krill is still in the army community, so maybe, one day, this saga will be longer; until then, we leave you here. Which aspect of Krill’s journey do you think has the largest impact? What lessons to take from Krill’s saga? Who else do you wish to see in this column?
