As one month transitions into another, a fresh strife finally begins in the major army community. After a long time of silence among major armies, a first move has been made. This strife began with a raid and is expected to have a series of follow-up battles.

On Tuesday, April 28, the Army of Club Penguin kicked off new hostilities against the Templars of Club Penguin through a declaration of war amid a raid. The accompanying raid took place on Club Penguin Journey during a rogue Templar event. In addition, this development comes soon after the war between the Templars and the Water Vikings concluded in a WV landslide win. This is set to be the first war fought on CPJ in army history.

Moreover, this war has been dubbed The Spring Offensive by the declaring army, ACP. Before the war, ACP had been running a special event for Earth Day, while the Templars had just returned from some battles against WV without triumph. ACP’s recent alliance with the Shadow Legionnaires, orchestrated by SL leader AB, surrounded the occasion. As for the previous war between TCP and WV, the final war score was 13-0-0 [W-T-L] in favor of the Vikings, leaving the Templars in a harsh defeat. On top of that, the Templars are set to face more battles against their new opponent, ACP.

Diving Deeper
In ACP’s declaration post, the army shed light on TCP’s intent to take advantage of the 1v1 term against ACP’s ally, WV. Also, the army believed that TCP could have been plotting a war against it. Subsequently, the Army of Club Penguin reintroduced an incentivized system of “patrols,” where ACP would scout for potential TCP troops and intervene in their recruitment and events. For this purpose, ACP has created a space in its Discord server. ACP members would scan for likely Templar uniforms in this process. In reality, this method might be controversial considering CPJ’s game rules. More importantly, this system of patrolling on the game was common when the original Club Penguin lasted.

Today, the Templars released a follow-up post on their website to contest ACP’s words. TCP claims that they wanted to advocate for more room for wars by updating the 1v1 term. The army also added that all armies involved — TCP, ACP, and WV — voted in favor of having the term updated to disallow major armies to enforce 1v1 against small/medium armies. Moreover, the army criticized ACP’s policy of intervening in the CPJ gameplay of Templars, suggesting that TCP is willing to promote adherence to game rules. Finally, the army declared ACP as an enemy.

Furthermore, conflicts among major armies have been rare in recent months due to the formation of alliances. These alliances seem difficult to break, resulting in fewer wars like these. It is worth noting that these movements are appearing in the army community shortly after the 1v1 term was updated following an Army Board meeting. Voting at the Board resulted in the 1v1 term being unenforced when a major army declares war on a small/medium army. For this war, ACP did not exclusively add any war terms; only the league’s general battle terms remain invoked.
Club Penguin Armies reached out to ACP leader daniel20448 and TCP leader Sidie9 to dive deeper into the situation.
Why do you feel that declaring war against the Templars was the right move?
daniel20448: Yes, the war has clearly helped show the community the true image of Templars, which I hope their own troops see as well. We got a chance for our troops to have so much fun, they’re enjoying it a lot, and Templars keep giving us ways to laugh at them even more. A ‘new’ style of warfare was played around with, which was historical, and Templars missed out on the opportunity, ran away, because they know they can’t win.
How does being at war against the Army of Club Penguin make you feel?
Sidie9: I feel as though this is my army calling. We knew they were going to declare war, the only matter in question was when they would and how they would do so. Now that the answer is clear, Anti-Club Penguin will face defeat at the Templar sword.
What significance did the raid against TCP have? Do you believe that the raid was necessary a day before the declaration?
daniel20448: Yes, Templars leaders were saying how we were too serious in public and we could’ve just simply raided, then we did, then they complained. Not only that, right now it’s the only way to have conflict with them, since they dropped the map.
What immediate impact did ACP’s raid leave? Do you believe that the raid was necessary with the declaration?
Sidie9: No, I don’t think the raid was necessary, I don’t think the war is necessary at all. The raid didn’t impact us at all except for giving us the first victory of the war LOL. I’m all for utilising CP Journey for warfare but they’ve made a big mistake. ACP are giving armies an even worse reputation by relentlessly harassing random penguins unless they change from being yellow, the hats are now infamous on Blizzard. Changing costumes won’t work either for them when their vile and toxic attitude towards CPJ players will remain the same. ACP is truly Anti-Club Penguin!
How do you see ACP benefiting from a new conflict?
daniel20448: Well, many people from not only the army community but also the CPPS community (from my interactions in-game) have caught on what’s going on. We’ve managed to get people interested on the conflict, and whilst Templars have tried turning it on our heads, saying Club Penguin players are going to turn against us, we’ve managed to make many new friends instead. You can’t turn Club Penguin players against Club Penguin players who love the game themselves. On the other hand, like I mentioned before, we’re having fun through it, and that’s what matters.
TCP has just been through a war. Do you think that your army will be able to push through?
Sidie9: Templars live for war, and nothing invigorates us more than a declaration of war by ACP. We’ve won two battles and lost none so I’d say it’s already been a huge success so far.
There is finally some conflict among major armies. What are your thoughts on this?
daniel20448: I think it’s good! Fun conflict is always good, this is what armies were made for. Now the opponent is the issue, not acting like a proper major “army”.
Sidie9: Templars are the focal point for war and activity within the major army community once again, it seems there is nothing new under the sun.
Is there anything else that you would like to add for the army community?
daniel20448: Defend Freedom, Preserve Justice baby
Sidie9: It is up to YOU to stand up to the tyranny of the Army of Club Penguin. We cannot allow ACP to claim Blizzard for themselves, giving them free reign to harass individuals and groups they dislike in an attempt to stop them from playing the game. The Templars stand strong, thank you to Roxy and Daniel for granting me my childhood army dream of decimating ACP <3 DEUS VULT!
After prolonged quietness among major armies, new developments are shaping. It appears that Daniel is confident through his words, displaying his courage in a battle campaign. On the other hand, Sidie9 shows her rejuvenation towards the fight, building suspense for what happens next. What’s your reaction to this newfound conflict? Who do you think will emerge victorious at the end?
Fun X Time
