The Legends Cup XV kicked off on Saturday, 19 July, with the Qualifiers battle between the Void Troops and Fire Vikings setting the tournament in motion. Over the following weeks, the tournament saw competitive battles as each army worked to progress to the next round. A month later, the Aliens and Rebel Penguin Federation stand as the last two final contenders.
Aliens
As the Grand Finals of this tournament draw near, it is time to meet the leaders guiding their armies to this stage. For the Aliens, that leadership comes under Sheriff and BestPenguin. Under their direction, the army has grown rapidly in the major scene and delivered strong performances throughout the tournament, earning a well-deserved spot in this year’s finals.
Sheriff joined the army community in June 2024 as one of the first members of the latest generation of the Aliens. Showing strong dedication from the start, he quickly earned a promotion to moderator and steadily climbed the ranks. He played an active role in key events, helping lead the Aliens to a semi-final spot in Christmas Chaos XIV and advancing to the quarterfinals in March Madness X. In December 2024, his leadership was recognized with a promotion to Admiral in Training. On April 2, co-founder and leader BestPenguin appointed Sheriff as the 11th Starship Commander, marking the beginning of his official leadership role and a new chapter for the Aliens.

Aliens vs RPF in CCXIV
BestPenguin began his army journey in June 2018 with the Help Force before co-founding the Aliens later that year. Though he initially remained with the Help Force, he maintained close ties with the Aliens and returned to lead their revival in 2019, helping the army grow significantly and achieve major status. Under his leadership, the Aliens became a key contender in the community, forming alliances and competing successfully against other major armies.
After the Aliens’ second generation closed, BestPenguin resumed command when the third generation launched in July 2024, quickly restoring the army’s major status. Throughout 2024, he guided the Aliens to strong tournament performances, further establishing the army’s rise under his leadership.
Rebel Penguin Federation
On the other side of the Grand Finals, we have the Rebel Penguin Federation, led by Gabgeirl and Link3000. With a strong history of tournament success and multiple championship titles, RPF is no stranger to high-pressure battles. Their experience and skill have once again secured them a spot in this year’s final showdown.
Gabgeirl, also known as Gabi, joined the Rebel Penguin Federation in September 2021. Quickly rising through the ranks, she became staff within months and played a key role in securing the Christmas Chaos XI trophy. By September 2022, Gabi had advanced to High Command, contributing to RPF’s wins in both the 2022 Christmas Chaos and 2023 March Madness tournaments. In May 2023, she was promoted to Second in Command, before ultimately being named leader in February 2024, solidifying her position at the helm of one of the community’s most historic armies.

RPF vs HF in March Madness VIII
Link joined RPF in June 2020 and quickly rose through the ranks, becoming moderator in October and Rebel Commander by May 2022. As leader, he has guided RPF through several major tournaments and battles, working alongside Gabgeirl to secure key victories. Notably, under his leadership, RPF won the Candy Crusher tournament and March Madness X in 2025, strengthening their position as one of the top armies in the community.
Meet the Leaders
Both armies and their leadership have put in tremendous effort to reach this point. Their impressive performances leading up to the Grand Finals show just how determined they are to claim victory. With that, it is now time to meet the leaders. Club Penguin Armies spoke with each army’s leaders to learn more about their mindset and preparations ahead of this major battle.
How is your army approaching preparations for the Grand Finals differently this time? Which area are you prioritizing the most?
BestPenguin: To prepare for grand finals we are creating hype and dming our friends to attend the battle. We are focusing on the size and training for the battle!
Gabgeirl: Throughout a tournament we’re constantly looking for weak spots which can be smoothed out, so in preparation for the finals we’ve carried on with that mostly.
Link3000: We’re taking a general approach tbh. We’re still emphasising recruiting and training as much as possible, but also making sure hype is still good. No point in training and recruiting if nobody shows up.
In the semifinals, if you had not gone up against the Help Force/ Water Vikings, which army would you have preferred to battle instead?
BestPenguin: Tbh all armies who were in semi finals, were really awesome and tough to beat, if it was not hf i would probably choose templars or army of cp. Because those armies will be tough to beat but the battles would have been fun
Gabgeirl: Both Aliens and Help Force can be formidable opponents, however I probably would lean towards Aliens just as we went against Help Force in the March Madness Finals
Link3000: I’m not too sure. I like battling allies but I love battling allies in finals even more. I think Doritos might have been a good one given our history. Maybe ACP since theyre our only allies we haven’t battled in this tournament.
If your army takes home the Legends Cup victory, what will be your next steps or goals moving forward?
BestPenguin: Aliens wining legends cup will be the major milestone for us because this is our first attempt in legends cup and we reached the finals already. If we do manage to win legends cup, we will continue growing, helping people and most importantly we will continue being kind towards everyone. After all our real strength is our love and kindness.
Gabgeirl: I like to take tournaments/goals one at a time, so we haven’t had much time to think about what comes after Legends Cup. That being said, we’ll likely try to have a quiet few weeks of celebration before returning to our regular schedule,
Link3000: Do our best to capitalise on that and just keep going. RPF as a community always comes first and trophies come second. So we’d capitalise on the win to keep spirits high and get more people involved in the community and eventually hopefully that leads to more wins.
What advice or message would you give to future leaders striving to achieve a tournament final win?
BestPenguin: My message to the future leaders would be to be kind and appreciate people for attending the battle. Winning a tournament is not easy but with high determination and support you can win the tournament!
Gabgeirl: Make sure you have your basics organised. Trying to do the fancier stuff is great but it all falls apart if your basics aren’t down
Link3000: Have a clear vision and communicate it with your team. Prepare as best as you can, that way you wont have any doubts aboht yourself. Accept you’ll make mistakes at some point, and use them as learning opportunities for next time. You can also do everything right and still lose and that’s okay because that is how it goes sometimes. Have faith in yourself and your army.
The Grand Finals are set to be an exciting event, as both armies are led by experienced leaders with strong achievements. Over the weekend, we will finally see which army emerges victorious. With that, Club Penguin Armies wishes both teams the best of luck in the upcoming battle. But what do you think? Which army will win the LCXV tournament?
