Once Friends, Now Foes: Guardians Take On Vikings

The Elite Guardians have officially declared war on their former allies, the Water Vikings. The declaration came after a failed attempt to launch an attack on the Templars’ empire.

After what was an eventful unfreezing of the map, the Elite Guardians have now declared war on the Water Vikings. In 2023, following their reopening, the Elite Guardians and Water Vikings became allies, finding common ground between the two armies. The Guardians made an immediate impression upon returning, setting themselves out to be a warring army. They went on to declare war after war. That was until the Vikings and Guardians joined together with the Rebel Penguin Federation to create the Blue Sunset Alliance.

The Blue Sunset Alliance went on to declare war against the Army of Club Penguin, setting World War IX into motion. The three armies worked side by side to blow ACP and their allies off the map and into submission. Yet, the war ended via a neutral treaty stating that there were no victors and the war score would be wiped.

Despite the ending of the war, it saw the army’s relationships be tested with multiple frustrating moments. Surprisingly, despite this, their alliance remained intact. Six months after the war took place, the Elite Guardians were declared on by the ‘United Front Alliance‘. This alliance contained ACP, People’s Imperial Confederation, Templars and Coup Crusaders. Yet, despite similarities being shown between World War IX and the ‘Christmas Crusade II’, this time, the Guardians had no help. Instead, the Vikings put out a statement declaring they would not be helping EGCP, stating that they had become what they were trying to stop. Alongside this, they confirmed their struggles during World War IX.

Following their statement, one day later, the Vikings broke their alliance with the Guardians. As well as this, they ordered their troops to leave the Guardians’ server. Ultimately, this saw tensions brew between the two armies even more. Yet, war did not break out between them, even though posts and comments were made. This led to the two armies becoming enemies in January 2024. Since then, both armies have been engaged in wars but never against each other.

When the map unfroze on June 9, many armies took to the Club Penguin Armies Discord server to declare war. However, the Elite Guardians were marginally slower than others. Their initial declaration was on the Templars, renewing their off-map war, hoping for a definitive conclusion. However, their declaration became null and void due to the Templars declaring war on Special Weapons And Tactics, preventing outside involvement.

Following a conversation between Mchappy and Edu, Mchappy spun a wheel to “decide” who the Guardians should declare war on. The odds were in favour of the Dark Pirates but somehow, the Vikings became the result. This supposedly led the Guardians to declare war on Vikings. Whether or not this was the real reason for the war is unknown but it certainly has been brewing since last year.

Mchappy spinning the wheel

Club Penguin Armies approached EGCP leader, Lass to find out the reasoning for the war.

What were your reasons for declaring war on the Water Vikings?

No reason, we just wanted war. All of this happened because of Mchappy.

Do you feel that the war will allow the two armies to solve/fight out the issues between them?

Absolutely.

At first, EGCP unsuccessfully declared war on TCP and now are at war with WV. Do you feel that war is an important part of EGCP, if so, why?

Of course. It will help cement our power and domination, something the community seemed to forget.

As well as Lass, Club Penguin Armies contacted Claire, Water Vikings Leader, to discover their reactions to the war and their plans going forward.

What were your initial reactions to the war declaration?

Well to be honest we thought we could be one of EGCP’S targets in the map, but we got a bit upset cause our Olympics Week was on the corner and we had to delay it. We are not afraid to battle tho, neither of war and we will be standing all the way through.

Do you believe that the war will help the two armies solve/fight out the issues between them?

I don’t think that’s the point to be honest and i don’t see it happening for now, but i’m open to it if that’s the case!

What are your plans going into this war and for the future?

My plan is to win but also have fun, we’ve been dealing with a lot of wars recently, winning tournaments as well and all of that comes with hardwork, so for the future i just want to do bond community, going on with the Olympics Week is in my plans, maybe rest up a bit lol

Thank you both for your responses. Seemingly, the Elite Guardians’ declaration was not planned or had any reasoning behind it. Yet, the Vikings still felt that the Guardians could declare on them. This would most likely be due to their rocky relationship and current status. However, the Vikings still aim to take on the Guardians and fight them on the battlefield to determine the best army out of the two of them. Will the two be able to solve the issues they have? Who will win the war? Will we see the Guardians and Templars fight, once again, after this is over?
