Eight armies compete for a chance to claim the championship title for October Horrors II. The Quarter-Finals featured the SnowWalkers of Club Penguin facing the Scarlet Republic, while Star Force was scheduled to battle the Pizzaiolis. Following the opening round, the Shadow Legionaries and Fire Vikings joined the competition in the Semi-Finals, eventually advancing to face each other in the Finals. Despite some close performances and unexpected forfeits, the tournament concluded with the Fire Vikings emerging victorious.

Snow Walkers vs Scarlet Republic

The first Quarter-Final battle saw the Snow Walkers face the Scarlet Republic. The Snow Walkers held a size advantage of 4-2. The judges noted that both sides struggled with slow tactics and occasional inactivity, as their performances were relatively equal, the room ended in a tie. Despite both armies continuing to struggle with their speed, the Snow Walkers demonstrated better formations and remained more active. With the size advantage still in their favour, they managed to gain the upper hand and secure the room. Although the Scarlet Republic performed well at the beginning and towards the end, the Snow Walkers maintained better coverage throughout most of the room. This allowed them to win the final room and advance to the Semi-Finals.

Winner: Snow Walkers

Star Force vs Pizzaiolis

The first battle of the Quarter Finals was between the Star Force and the Pizzaiolis. Due to the Pizzaiolis not showing up, this battle resulted in an automatic win for Star Force.

Star Force VS Pizzaiolis, Win for SF

Winner: Star Force

Snow Walkers vs Shadow Legionnaires

The first Semi-Final was scheduled between the Snow Walkers and Shadow Legionnaires. However, the Snow Walkers no-showed the battle, resulting in an automatic victory for the Shadow Legionnaires. As a result, the Legionnaires advanced directly to the Finals.

Winner: Shadow Legionnaries

Star Force vs Fire Vikings

During the first room, the Vikings held a beneficial size advantage of 12-5. Both armies struggled with tactical speed and completion, although the Vikings were also slow at times. Despite this, they were able to make better use of their size through larger formations and stronger coverage. Star Force attempted to maintain its presence but struggled with spacing and formation execution. With their size and coverage, the Vikings secured the first room.

The second room followed a similar pattern, although SF demonstrated faster and more consistent tactics, its formations and creativity were lacking. On the other hand, the Vikings experimented with larger formations, including an infinity and an L. Their formations provided better visibility and coverage, allowing them to win the second room.

Star Force entered significantly earlier and initially maintained a quicker tactical pace. However, the Vikings made better use of the room’s layout through formations that suited its shape. As the room progressed, Star Force began experimenting with more creative formations, improving its performance towards the end. Nevertheless, the Vikings maintained stronger coverage, securing their third room victory and a place in the Finals.

Star Force VS Fire Vikings

Winner: Fire Vikings

Shadow Legionnaires vs Fire Vikings

Throughout the battle, Fire Vikings maintained a size advantage, allowing them to form larger formations and cover their opponents more effectively. Despite both armies struggling with tactical speed and consistency at times, the Vikings demonstrated better formation choices and completion. The Legionnaires attempted to improve their coverage and picked up their pace towards the end, but were unable to overcome the Vikings. As a result, the Fire Vikings won all three rooms and claimed victory.

FV VS SL

Winner: Fire Vikings

Club Penguin Armies reached out to different community members to learn their thoughts on the battle.

Zall: It was very interesting i’ll say, I wasn’t expecting many of the results the battles ended in. Very fun watching and waiting for results. Hope this is a thing again next year!

Pranav: I was mildly surprised by the SWCP battle, though as I mentioned in my analysis post, neither army was really at an advantage. SF, if I’m not wrong, won a no-show battle against Pizzaioli, so that wasn’t too crazy, and both SL and FV winning their battles were expected. FV winning the battle against SL confirmed my expectations with FV being more of a late EU-US army, and them proving exactly that against a returning SL (more of an AUSIA-early EU army).

Rye: Well considering some of them resulted in no shows, the finals genuinely surprised me and I wish I couldve recorded it honestly. Great to see Fire Vikings become stronger over this past month and able to hold their own against a strong medium army.

Jo: I think it went as expected. Most of the small/medium armies have small maxes, so only a few of them actually had a chance of winning. It thought that the Shadow Legionnaries would win, but I knew that Fire Vikings would also have a good chance at winning. Fire Vikings winning at the end went just about as expected.

Ams: I hoped for a victory for SR, even though not able to join them during the battle, but congratulations SWCP on winning this. Star Force are definitely proving that they are growing by winning over Pizzaioli. The victory of SL over SWCP was not really a surprise, considering the size difference between both armies, same between SF and FV. Finally the victory of FV kind of unexpectedly surprised me, SL had been showing great strength and i was expecting them to win this. Congrats to all S/M who participated tho <3

Brightnewdawn: Overall the tourney went about as expected. S/M is in such a sad place compared to last year and unfortunately that led to most battles being completely uninteresting. Shoutout to the smaller S/M armies who showed up and fought fair though even if they weren’t gonna max well, relying on a major to lead and get you size is LAME(cough cough). Congrats to FV for winning, had YT’s song bumping the whole time watching finals.

Runa:**S**now Walkers vs **S**carlet Republic, **S**tar Force vs Pizzaiolis, **S**now Walkers vs **S**hadow Legionnaires, **S**tar Force vs Fire Vikings, **S**hadow Legionnaires vs Fire Vikings….The battle of the S’s! Overall, these battles really cemented each army’s place in CPA, no matter the ranking. Congratulations to them!

While the participants tried their best, the Fire Vikings ultimately came out on top. Congratulations to FV on winning the S/M division and achieving 1st place for the October Horrors II Cup. Did you expect this outcome? Have the battles reached your expectations? Who did you think were going to win?
