On November 1, 2026, Gabgeirl announced Buhnny’s promotion to Rebel Commander, more than two years since the last leader promotion. Let us see why this promotion happened so suddenly and what lies ahead for the Rebels.
Introduction to Rebel Penguin Federation
Buhnny originally joined the Rebel Penguin Federation on June 1, 2024, through Club Penguin Journey. In a 2025 troop interview on the RPF website, she said she was relatively new to CPJ in 2024. In the interview, she said she was on her way to play some Puffle Roundup. At that point, RPF Lieutenant General JJ Princesscake recruited her by telling her about the RPF community. Buhnny quickly worked her way up the troop ranks, even earning Troop of the Week just 20 days after she joined RPF. By promotions on August 5, 2024, she had reached Officer Cadet, on her way up the staff ranks. She rose through the ranks just as quickly, despite the stereotype that RPF gives slow promotions. By June 30, 2025, she had reached Third-in-Command, officially reaching the High Command ranks.
Promotion to Rebel Commander
Because of her promotion to HCOM at the end of June, she could not participate in leading an RPF Summer Olympics team. She earned a promotion to Second-in-Command a few months later, in November 2025, a meteoric rise given her start in summer 2024. Fortunately, she received the opportunity to lead the Adventure Time-themed Winter Olympics Team Cometa, which won the week. This achievement propelled her further and improved her status within RPF. Her hard work also moved RPF to new heights, with RPF taking second place to the Army of Club Penguin in March Madness XI and another second place in Legends Cup XVI.
Finally, on November 1, 2026, Gabgeirl, the most recently promoted leader before Buhnny, announced Buhnny’s promotion in RPF announcements. To truly highlight how significant the promotion is, Gabgeirl herself was promoted in February 2024. The last Rebel Commander promotion came before Buhnny was even introduced to RPF and the army community. With this promotion, the RPF leadership team will include Link3000, Gabgeirl, and now Buhnny.
Club Penguin Armies approached Buhnny for an interview on her promotion and her thoughts on taking RPF further. However, she did not reply by the publication date of this post.
Buhnny will surely add wonderful new ideas and a fresh face to the Rebel Commander team, now with three people and a sizable High Command team. Three leaders worked well together in the past for other armies, especially the well-known ACP triumvirate, so the Rebels will hope for similar success. What will Buhnny add to the Rebel Penguin Federation’s leadership and their plans for the future? How will the Rebels improve under this leadership team?
