Emerging from the Shadows
Rising from the grave for yet another year of terror, Club Penguin Journey released its annual Halloween Party 2026 on October 26. This time, the island plunged into darkness as the Crimson Moon rose, prompting five factions to gather in celebration. While the Wildlings have claimed the Iceberg as their own, the Witches are brewing up their latest potions at the Docks. Meanwhile, the Vampires rule from the Ski Hill as the Hunters fiercely guard the Snow Forts. The Fae soar through the Forest and the Hidden Lake, turning both into a magical hangout spot. Some players have found themselves mysteriously drawn to a specific species, while others prefer taking the faction quiz to decide. Wherever you end up, you’ll fully look the part through the unique item catalogs tailored to each faction! Other updates surrounding this event were also posted.

Trick or Treat!
Trick-or-treating got a chilling upgrade this year, requiring a serious grind from CP Journey players. To buy out each catalog this party offers, you need to collect mountains of Moon Candy by visiting different player igloos. The twist? The hunt is timed, and you’ll be searching in almost total darkness! Some penguins have made the Moon Candy easy to find, while others have made it into a real challenge by hiding it behind furniture. Though trick-or-treating is by far the most efficient way to collect Moon Candy, you’ll also find pieces hidden within the Limbo Maze. From hunting Moon Candy and hanging out with your faction, to reading fortunes at the Book Room, the island is packed with things to do!

Club Penguin Armies reached out to several community members to hear their thoughts on this year’s spooky celebration!
Did you take the monster personality quiz? What faction did you end up choosing?
Ellie:It was one of the first things I did and, unsurprisingly, the quiz gave me the same faction that I was already set on choosing before logging in the first day of the party, the Witches!
Rosaferri: I did! But honestly, I already saw the outfits and thought the wildlings (I think they’re called?) had the cooler outfits, so I went with that lol.
Elnova: Yes! I take the quiz and the result was Vampire. I was wondering to pick Vampire so that was my pick!
Aurora: I took the monster personality quiz and joined the Fae faction.
Mare: Yes! I did, I was originally a witch… but I chose fae🧚♀️
Borapenguins: I didn’t personally take the quiz but I had my staff do this for me so we could get the party quest guide out quicker
KingFraud: I did and it said I am a Witch. Later on, i was drawn to the witch aesthetic (honorable mention: Fae Faction) and eventually joined the Witch Faction.
Have you been trick-or-treating in user igloos for Moon Candy? What do you think of this new feature?
Ellie: While I haven’t been online much recently, I did some heavy igloo grinding day one and for the most part really enjoyed it. I think it has some issues and the fact it’s the ONLY reliable way to get candy(outside of the 12 or so you can get from the maze) is a bit demanding as you need lots of candy to buy everything. It’s fun for a little bit but the grind is extremely tedious.
Rosaferri: Interesting design, bad execution. I do get that they were going for trying to encourage an equal balance of challenge and ease/accessibility, but I fear that it got boring quick if there were too many “impossible” or “random guess” rooms.
Elnova: I love it because i can visit a lot of igloos and see the designs, is interesting see the creativity. I like this new feature because is not just visit an igloo and thats all. I hope they keep innovating for the next parties. This party have a lot of new content and costumes, is so cool.
Aurora: Yes, I have over 125,000 candies since I haven’t bought anything yet. It’s something new and more convenient than the igloo candy hunt in the snow forts since you can get more candy in a shorter amount of time.
Mare: OMG. Yes I’m addicted to trick or treating in igloos. I personally love it, but sometimes I wish the timer was a bit longer because some people hide their candy waaaaaay too hard.
Borapenguins: I also haven’t been doing this either but I had my staff do this for me so we could get the party quest guide out quicker.
KingFraud: Yes, I have been trick-or-treating in user Igloos looking for moon candy, and it’s been a time consuming grind. Thankfully, the CPJ devs heard my prayers and added a 2x multiplier to the candies this week. It is an interesting feature, but I wish there were more ways to earn candy. You can earn candies passively by having penguins visit your home, looking for your candy stash, however this is an extremely rare instance for m
Show off your penguin’s Halloween look! Were there any specific vibes you were going for with the new items?
Ellie: I made this when the catalog dropped so it doesn’t use any of the new party items(although a lot of them do fit!), but it still fits the Halloween vibe. I love witchcraft and witch culture and so I jumped at the opportunity to make my penguin a witch too

Rosaferri: Like I kinda mentioned, I really loved the wildlings outfits, so I have bits and pieces of that on my penguin:
Wildling and Karl Marx costumes
Elnova: I have two outfits! The first one is literally me with the classic White Cowboy Hat and another with a ACP-Halloween Theme. I think the two outfits represent me!! The Cowboy one is a kind of spooky skeleton keeping the outfit vibes and the second one i was trying to make it with the Roman Helmet and i think was a good combination of items
Elnova’s costumes
Aurora: I just put together quickly a Halloween look since I didn’t have one. I just chose items that I felt went well together.

Mare: This is a photo of my penguin, I was just going for a crimson kind of vibe! I loved the rose they handed out and how it glows, I think that’s my favorite item.

Borapenguins: I usually don’t update my penguin unless we have rogue events or recruiting sessions so it’s pretty standard right now. take a look:

KingFraud: I built my outfit based on my faction and included the crimson rose because it looked really cool outside of the playercard. I may switch it out later when I acquire all the items from the candy catalog, but for now, I am vibing with this and almost every item on there is new.
