Executive Statement: Garfield Awakens

The past month has been one of the most eventful periods in recent CPA history. Between the intense debates at the Summit 2026, a complete overhaul of our judging infrastructure, and the ongoing push to redefine what it means to be an “active” army, the community has been working overtime to reshape the league’s future. Today, as we navigate the fallout of these massive structural shifts, the Administration is announcing the next step in our own evolution.

THE STATE OF THE LEAGUE

Before we get to the administrative changes, it’s worth taking a step back to look at everything that has happened recently. The CPA Summit 2026 has dominated community discourse, forcing us to have difficult but necessary conversations about map rules, CPPS etiquette, and the reality of army inactivity. These aren’t just theoretical discussions; the votes passed during these sessions are going to fundamentally change how armies operate on a week-to-week basis.

At the same time, we’ve undergone a historic shift in how our battles are officiated. As detailed in our recent executive order, The Final Verdict, CPA has officially ended its long-standing partnership with Club Penguin Army Judges and transitioned to the newly formed Army Judging Board (AJB). This was a massive decision born out of the need for more active, reliable, and impartial judging, but it also means we are in a period of adjustment as the AJB finds its footing and sets new standards for the league.

Behind the scenes, the Administration has been restructuring to handle this increased workload. We’re incredibly proud to recognize the promotions of Ams and chkn to CPA Head Moderators, as well as the appointment of Joonie as our new Community Committee Head. Their dedication is what keeps the day-to-day operations of the league running smoothly. And through all this administrative shuffling, the competitive side of CPA hasn’t slowed down, with the October Horrors tournament currently underway to celebrate the spooky season.

EDU’S TRANSITION TO THE ADVISORY BOARD

Amidst all of this movement, we are also saying goodbye to our Chief Executive Producer, Edu14463. As he shared in his recent resignation letter, the time has come for him to step back from the daily grind of the Administration to focus on his real-life ambitions and adult responsibilities. Edu has been a cornerstone of CPA, and his departure leaves a massive void in our leadership team.

However, we aren’t losing him completely. We are thrilled to announce that Edu will be transitioning to the Advisory Board. His deep understanding of the league’s history, his technical expertise, and his strategic insight will be invaluable as we navigate this transitional period. Having him available to advise the current Administration ensures that we don’t lose the institutional knowledge he’s built over the years.

WELCOMING VIVALA TO THE EXECUTIVE TEAM

With Edu stepping down, the AJB transition in full swing, and the Summit’s new rules going into effect, the Administration recognized an urgent need for a steady, experienced hand to help anchor the team. It is with great excitement that we announce the promotion of Vivala (Viv) to Executive Producer.

Vivala

If you’ve been around the community for a while, you know Viv’s track record. She led the Doritos of Club Penguin to incredible heights and later guided the Water Vikings through some of their most formidable, top-tier eras. As she highlighted in her Advisors’ Advice interview earlier this year, her approach to leadership is grounded in clear communication, robust frameworks, and a genuine care for the community’s well-being.

For the past several months, Viv has been serving as CPA’s Head Moderator. In that role, she’s dealt with the front lines of community management, handling disputes, enforcing rules, and keeping the server a welcoming place. She has proven that she has the level-headedness, the organizational skills, and the community-first mindset required to sit at the executive table.

As an Executive Producer, Viv’s primary focus will be on stabilization and enforcement. She will be working directly alongside us to ensure that the new guidelines are properly integrated, that the Summit’s activity requirements are fairly enforced, and that our newly promoted department heads have the support they need. We need leaders who understand the granular details of how CPA actually functions, and Viv is the perfect fit to help us solidify these recent changes.

LOOKING AHEAD

As we head into the final months of 2026, our main goal is stability. We want to ensure that we have a fully operational community, that the Summit’s mandates are successfully implemented, and that the remainder of this year runs without a hitch.

The landscape of Club Penguin Armies is changing, but the core of what makes this community great remains the same. We wish Viv the absolute best in her new role, we thank Edu for his years of service, and we look forward to tackling the rest of the year together.
