After weeks of discussion and a community vote, the CPA 20 Committee is proud to present the final shortlist for the upcoming CPA 20 Awards Gala. 27 community members participated in the nominations vote. This is roughly the turnout we expected; not many people are left who can talk confidently about Armies before 2017.
One significant change to the awards has been made since the nominations form was published: after due consideration, we have decided against proceeding with the ‘Best War’ category. Doing this category justice would require research we can’t commit to. But, no matter. One singular conflict dominated the community vote, and the infamous recent rivalry between Templars and the Army of Club Penguin will be part of our replacement category: Best Rivalry. ‘Best Rivalry’ will receive a formal title in time for the ceremony, though we are accepting suggestions!

Statistics and Acknowledgements
- The frontrunner in the community vote for Best Admin/CEO is DMT with 5 nominations. This is closely followed by Blue1/Blue2 and Jojo Teri, with 4 votes each.
- Best Organisation is tied, but not between who you might expect. Club Penguin Army Central and Club Penguin Army Judges received 6 votes each.
- Despite once being the most popular private server, Club Penguin Online failed to secure the community nomination and was only included at the committee’s discretion.
- Greatest Political Legacy is a tie between DMT and Blue1 with 4 nominations each. Woton and Superhero123 are close behind with 3.
- World Wars III, VII, and IX received the most nominations for Best World War.
- To no one’s surprise, ACP leads the race for Best OG Army with 6 votes. The next closest were Nachos and Ice Warriors, with 3 votes each.
- An astounding 8 separate voters nominated different conflicts between ACP and Templars for Best War.
- Tying the lead for Best Leader were Xing, Oagalthorp, and Iceyfeet1234 with 4 votes each. Crazzy and Mchappy were the next closest with 3 votes each.
How will these patterns translate to the final vote? Only time will tell!
