As Legends Cup XVI approaches its conclusion, the Grand Finals are scheduled for August 2. Of all the participating armies in LCXVI, only two remain in the final competition. In this post, we engage with the leaders of both finalist teams as they prepare for the decisive confrontation for the LCXVI trophy.

Last week, the Semi-Final stage delivered two intense battles as the Rebel Penguin Federation and the Army of Club Penguin secured victories over the Water Vikings and Help Force. Both finalists displayed their strength throughout the round, reaching impressive peaks of nearly 100 penguins. Their recent performances have also been reflected in the Top Ten rankings, with both armies consistently occupying the highest positions across weekly, monthly, and seasonal standings.

With the Grand Finals now set, only one battle remains as these two longtime rivals prepare to clash once again. This marks another chapter in one of the community’s most storied rivalries. Earlier this year, ACP claimed victory over the Rebels to win the March Madness tournament. Notably, both tournaments have featured the same leadership matchup: Roxy and Daniel20448 leading ACP against Link3000 and Gabgeirl leading RPF. While ACP seeks to repeat its March Madness success, the Rebels enter the Grand Finals as the defending champions after lifting the LCXV trophy. With both armies seeking to cement their legacy, the stage is set for a highly anticipated showdown.

Meet the leaders

Behind every successful army stands a dedicated leadership team. As the armies prepare for their final battle, we first introduce the leaders who have guided their armies to the Legends Cup XVI Grand Finals before diving into our exclusive interviews with them.

Rebel Penguin Federation 

Link3000

Link3000 began their journey in the Rebel Penguin Federation in June 2020. He joined as a new troop and quickly rose through the ranks. Within months, Link earned recognition for his dedication and activity. He became a Moderator in October 2020, before reaching Third-in-Command in February 2021. By August 2021, he had become Second-in-Command. In May 2022, Link3000 officially became the 113th Rebel Commander. Their leadership brought a new era of success for the Rebels. Under his command, RPF achieved numerous tournament victories and community milestones. These included victories in events such as Summer Sovereign War, Christmas Chaos, March Madness, and Legends Cup. Beyond tournament success, Link helped establish one of RPF’s strongest eras. The Rebels maintained consistent dominance within the Top Ten rankings. His leadership, dedication, and contributions made him one of RPF’s most respected figures. By 2025, Link had secured his place among the army’s greatest leaders.

Gabgeirl

Link, however, was not alone in his Rebel Commander journey. Gabgeirl joined the Rebel Penguin Federation in September 2021. She quickly became an important member of the army. Within two months, she joined the staff team and began her leadership journey. By September 2022, Gabgeirl reached the High Command team. She continued rising through the ranks and became Second-in-Command in May 2023. In February 2024, she joined Link3000 as Rebel Commander.

Together, Link and Gabgeirl formed one of RPF’s strongest leadership partnerships. Their era brought continued success across the community. They helped lead the Rebels to victories in major tournaments. These included Christmas Chaos, March Madness, and Legends Cup competitions. Before becoming Commander, Gabgeirl already played a major role in RPF’s achievements. She contributed through event organization, leadership, and graphic design. Her work behind the scenes helped strengthen the army’s identity. Her dedication cemented her legacy within RPF and the wider community.

Interview

We reached out to the RPF leadership for an exclusive interview ahead of the Grand Finals, with Gabgeirl responding on behalf of the entire leadership.

With the upcoming battle against the Army of Club Penguin, how prepared do you feel you are?

I feel like we’re as prepared as we can be. We’ve given it our all, and I’m sure ACP are doing the same, which is everything a tournament final should be. At this point there’s not a whole lot more that can be done to prepare anyway.

RPF has had a strong tournament legacy, including multiple championship runs, and even being the current LC defending champion. What does another Legends Cup victory mean for the current generation of leaders and troops?

A tournament win would mean everything to the server. There are so many people having their first or second tournament this Legends Cup and to be able to deliver a win to them would mean so much and give them so many positive memories!

ACP and RPF have had many major tournament battles throughout this current RPF era, the most recent being the March Madness finals. Does facing a familiar opponent in the Finals change the way your army approaches this matchup?

I don’t think facing ACP so many times before changes how we approach this battle. For us the focus is always more on how RPF can be better rather than what our opponents are doing overall.

After reaching another Legends Cup Final, what do you believe has been the biggest strength that has carried RPF through this tournament?

Absolutely the staff team’s efforts as a whole. They’ve had so much to juggle this tournament and have done everything with complete grace. They’re such a hardworking team and they deserve to have their work celebrated. Reaching the final would have been entirely impossible without them.

Lastly, what message would you like to share with the RPF community and the wider army community ahead of the Legends Cup XVI Finals?

Probably to both ACP and RPF to enjoy the finals and be proud of themselves for what they’ve achieved. It’s shaping up to be an excellent final with both armies putting their everything into it. To the wider community, I hope it’s an entertaining watch!

Army of Club Penguin

Roxy

Although Roxy’s roots in the community began in the Help Force, her legacy is mainly tied to the Army of Club Penguin. She originally joined ACP in October 2020. Through her dedication and leadership, she quickly rose through the ranks. By late 2021, Roxy had reached the position of Third-in-Command. After stepping away, Roxy eventually returned to ACP in January 2024. She rejoined the High Command team and took charge of the army’s renowned AUSIA Division. Her efforts in recruitment and troop retention helped transform the division into one of ACP’s strongest forces.

In June 2024, Roxy became the 52nd Commander-in-Chief of the Army of Club Penguin. Her leadership brought some of ACP’s most memorable achievements. During the Centenary Solstice War, she guided the army through over 60 battles. She later helped lead ACP to their first-ever March Madness championship in 2026. Through her dedication, leadership, and commitment, Roxy established herself as one of ACP’s most influential modern leaders.

Daniel20448

Although Daniel20448, similarly, did not begin his career in the Army of Club Penguin, ACP became the center of his legacy. He first joined the army during 2020 and 2021. During this period, Daniel made significant contributions to the organization. His dedication earned him several internal achievements. These included the Medal of Training and the Bronze Medal Award. After his initial time in ACP, Daniel retired in late 2021.

In 2024, Daniel returned to the Army of Club Penguin. He quickly became an important figure within the army once again. By March 2025, he had risen to a leadership position. Together with Roxy, Daniel helped guide ACP through one of its strongest eras. Their leadership brought major victories and historic achievements. The Clovers reclaimed the top spot on the weekly Top Ten rankings. They also secured ACP’s first-ever March Madness championship in 2026. Daniel’s return marked another successful chapter in ACP’s history. His leadership and dedication helped shape the army’s dominant modern era.

Interview

We were able to get exclusive interviews with both Daniel and Roxy as they prepare for their battle against the Rebel Penguin Federation.

 With the upcoming Legends Cup XVI Finals, how adequately prepared are you for your battle against the Rebel Penguin Federation?

Daniel: We’ve been preparing in the best way possible, some small stuff to tweak but we have good hopes!

Roxy: You can never be truly over-prepared for a final, but we’ve put in the work. No matter how much you train, there’s always room to push harder.

Following your victory in the March Madness, do you believe you will achieve yet another tournament trophy?

Daniel: We hope so. We’re going into it expecting anything, and not underestimating anyone. That’s our philosophy.

Roxy: Only time will tell! Wishing RPF all the best for the upcoming battle 🙂

Recently, the ACP surpassed its Top Ten record. Do you believe this achievement has positively impacted the army in tournaments?

Daniel: For sure! The hype of breaking a 15-year-old record is like no other. We’re going into this tournament very happy of being able to achieve things like that. Really makes us believe that if we put ourselves to it, we can do anything.

Roxy: It definitely created a surge of energy among our troops, which we’re really grateful for. Breaking records is a great morale boost, but the real reward is seeing everyone’s hard work pay off on the battleground

Lastly, would you like to address something to the community and other armies?

Daniel: Tune in to watch the battle! It’ll be even greater than the March Madness Final, so hopefully it can be enjoyed by everyone.
