On August 1st, Subzero announced that he would be stepping down from the Dark Warriors leadership to join the advisory team. In this post, we will go through his history in the army during the past and current eras.

Subzero’s Origins in Dark Warriors
Subzero primarily shone when he became a leader of the Red Blue Army Alliance in 2011, which soul goal was to be more powerful than the World Powers. Furthermore, the army faced up against Pretzels and Light Troops, engaging in a war. Unfortunately, the war with LT ceased as the army was defeated. Ultimately, they ended up merging into the Elites, with the short journey ending.

Subzero ended up leaving a mark on Pretzels. He was known as a recruiting leader – one who thrived in this aspect. Additionally, he helped the army gain more publicity, grow, and become a serious competitor within the Top Ten week in, and week out. This led to Subzero officially being recognized as a Legend.
Subzero was a part of DW until it faced one of its shutdowns on July 27, 2012, after him and Ellie, a DW legend and creator, quit.

Subzero Leading Since Revival
Dark Warriors stepped back into the community; Subzero, along with Holo2 and Coolguy, was allowed to revive the army by its creator, Ambrosha, on May 23, 2025.

Under Subzero’s leadership, Dark Warriors managed to go back to the major status on March 1st, 2026. Huge achievement for the army that has been working very hard to achieve this status, which will be explained in the following parts of this post.

The army went through an enemy state towards Void Troops, having the rivalry end two months after.

During the tournament Summer Blitz, the army managed to achieve victory, winning the tournament and bringing home the first trophy of the generation.

In November, Dark Warriors joined a conflict to bring support to Void Troops against Templars, helping them to win this conflict.

After this first trophy, they managed, again, to win the S/M trophy for October Horrors, although they ended up defeated by the Aliens in the Super Cup, having a major and an S/M going against each other.

To help the warriors grow up, a few alliances brought daylight into the darkness surrounding the army, likethe Templars on January 3rd, and creating the Dark Knight Alliance.

They also announced the alliance with the Aliens on January 23rd, creating the Dark Galactic Alliance.

A few hours after a practice battle against the Templars, Subzero sent his stepping-down message, thanking everyone, and announcing joining the advisory team until he comes back.

Club Penguin Armies reached out to Subzero to know more about his retirement.
What do you think your leadership brought to Dark Warriors since the revival?
I hope that I made a positive impact on the family structure and unity of the army, I think it’s important to stick together and face everything as one, carrying one another through hard times, sharing the good times together, everyone playing their position while sharing the same vision with high sense of comradery in my eyes plays a big part in our success. I have seen people come and go and it’s what made me hold the sense of loyalty dear.
What were some personal highlights from the timeframe you led?
So much I probably couldn’t even remember half of it but I will say the tournament wins, the practise battle wins, all the losses we’ve taken on the battlefield and off the battlefield, the lessons we’ve learnt from our experiences – the trial and errors, the feeling of finally hitting major army status, all the laughs we’ve had over the last year among our own and our allies, the struggles of course, allying with the Aliens! Allying with the Templars!.. there’s honestly so much the list could really go on for a while here. There is no I in team and I will be so totally honest, since the start it’s always been a shared personal experience for me, I shared every moment with multiple people.
Do you have any expectations of what Dark Warriors will become while you step away?
Naturally the track record has always been once someone leaves leadership, we progress, it’s like everyone understands the assignment and knows it’s time to go hard again. So I hope to see us rise in numbers, produce more wins and to produce more amazing staff and hcom. We don’t die we just multiply
To bring hope to your troops: do you have an idea of when you’d come back
I don’t have a set date, I can’t promise something like this but it’s been said that I will be ready to make an official return within the next 2-3months. I hope that it can be sooner however.
Any last words to give to people in the community?
Subzero definitely left a mark on Dark Warriors. How do you think his stepping down will impact the army? When will we see him coming back into the army? There is undoubtedly a lot to unfold still about the future he will have in the army.
