While the armies are getting ready for Legends Cup XVI, Club Penguin Journey, a Club Penguin Private Server where many of them do events and recruit from, was getting ready for a big milestone: 1 Million Users. All this happened between the chaos of the wait, with the developers talking around with the notice banner, and the ultimate update of the game. In this unusual news report, we will take a look at this big event.

A busy evening
Around 11:16 pm Eastern Time, on July 14, 2026, Club Penguin Journey reached 1,000,006 members. For the occasion, every server, or almost every one, reached the maximum capacity while waiting for the milestone number 1,000,000 to arrive.
CPJ reaching 1M players
The evening was filled with penguins logging on to any servers to watch the 1,000,000 clock installed at the Welcome Room. While waiting, people decided to create an account to see who would get the P1000000. The staff team of Club Penguin Journey was sitting among the rest of the people, looking at everyone gathering around.
Developers were talking on banners: blue for only the server you were in and orange for all 5 servers (Blizzard, Sleet, Frozen, Marshmallow, Zipline). They asked a variety of engaging questions, such as “What is your favourite party?” or about the people’s puffle names. Every single moment was filled with activity, to the point that people kept disconnecting while waiting.
Once the clock passed 1,000,000, the team posted multiple messages thanking people for being there during this important moment, saying that they loved everyone and many others.

Thirty minutes later, the island changed to celebrate the new milestone. New catalog for the occasion, decorated rooms, and new chances of meeting almost every mascot of the game.

What is your favourite memory related to CPJ?
Sarah, Viking Warrior, WV: There are so many, but I think a lot of them would probably be the WV corners when mascots come, or pins are just out, and we sit in the VC and laugh about what happens
Haleth, Third in Command, RPF: my favorite memories on cpj often have to do with conversations with people around the island, including how the staff interact with us! during last year’s medieval party, dot visited and decided to play hide n seek using riddles. she sang clues she made up and it was so clear staff were having fun with it. it’s moments like those that really feel like community.
Holly, Brigadier General, ACP: Omg my favorite would have to be the Aprils Fools party. I loved how everyone was enjoying the transformations 😊
Runa, Commander, HF: Oh, there are a lot, but I’d say my favorite memory on CPJ right now happened during the 2025 Halloween party. It was the first time playing any cpps where I had seen both Gary and Rockhopper online, and the visits were so fun! Maybe also completing the quests, like the maze, or seeing all of the decorated igloos. This party truly showed the beauty of CPJ for me, so it’s a stark memory 😀
