Welcome back to the fifty-second edition of HCOM life stories. Today, we spotlight Queen Kay, one of the members of the Army of Club Penguin’s HCOM. Let’s take a look at her journey and learn more about the person behind the rank.

Queen Kay’s Journey
Although Queen Kay officially joined the army community in November 2025, the community itself was not unfamiliar to her. Having grown up through the eras of the original Club Penguin, Club Penguin Rewritten, and now Club Penguin Journeys, she had always known about CPA, making it meaningful to her to finally become part of one herself. After she mentioned to a friend that she wanted to complete her CPJ stamp book, the friend introduced her to the Army of Club Penguin through igloo raids, and she officially enlisted at the end of November. As CPA celebrates its 20th anniversary, Queen Kay says it’s incredible to be now contributing to a community she watched grow alongside her over the years.
Queen Kay rose through the ranks of ACP and was recognized as Troop of the Month in December. A month later, she officially earned a staff position. She was honoured as Staff of the Month twice before being promoted to HCOM in May. Reflecting on her journey, she credits the friendships, opportunities, and supportive community for making her experience unexpected yet immensely rewarding. She is truly grateful to be a part of it.

Queen Kay’s promotion to HCOM
Club Penguin Armies reached out to Queen Kay for an exclusive interview.
What do you believe is the most important responsibility of an HCOM member, and how do you fulfill that responsibility in your role?
I believe that the most important responsibility of being an HCOM member is being a support. Whether that is supporting our leaders, supporting our troops, our staff, or just an army as a whole. I try to say goodmorning or goodnight everyday in main while having conversations. And I’m constantly trying to encourage others or respond to their questions. Trying to make meaningful connections with those who come through even if it’s for one minute or a long time. Also making connections in different lanaguages is something I work on everyday. I’m learning Spanish to support our Legion Española as well! Then in a leadership role I help support anything that might be needed from the little details to whole scale events. It’s one of my greatest joys in life being apart of ACP in this way as they’re more than just a community to me now but instead a family.
What has been a moment in ACP that genuinely stood out to you and stayed in your memory?
I have sooooo many favorite memories in ACP. From me getting HCOM, to my first battle, to the endless stamp hunts. But my favorite is when we won March Madness. We all worked so incredibly hard from recruiting and mentoring and practicing for hours. And then we found out we won, everyone cried or cheered or both. I am a scuba diver/mermaid for work and attended the finals as soon as I got out of the habitat in a wet mermaid tail and ID DO IT AGAIN (in fact- I have done it again) hahaha! We were all so proud and it was the time I felt we were closest.
How would you describe your overall experience as part of ACP staff team as an HCOM?
My overall experience has been wonderful. I have been given the opportunities to lead in a way I’ve worked for since December. And now being a high beacon for people to look to is a great honor for me. I keep a mantra in my life- to live with kindness and courage. I hope to exude that everyday.
Looking ahead, what are your hopes and aspirations for the future of the army?
I hope to see the clovers thrive and I will do everything in my power to support the army and aid them in that journey whether it’s from answering a question or leading. Every connection that is made can make an impact for the betterment of the community as a whole. As a clover can survive even in the harshest conditions, so can our clover army and we will overcome anything that comes our way- stronger and together.
Queen Kay has quickly become an important part of ACP, and her dedication, positivity, and commitment to the community have made a lasting impact in a short amount of time. What was your favourite part of Queen Kay’s journey? Who would you like to see featured in the next edition of HCOM Life Stories?
