Advisors’ Advice: Sheriff and the Aliens of Club Penguin

Welcome to the newest release of Advisors’ Advice. This time around, we put the spotlight on one of the Aliens’ most notable formers, Sheriff. Let us examine his contributions to the successful operations of Aliens.

History of his Army

The Aliens of Club Penguin were founded in November 2018 by Sans and Bestpenguin and quickly became one of the more active armies on Club Penguin Online, often reaching over 40 attendees at events. Moreover, the army remained active until May 2020, when internal issues led to its closure around the same time Club Penguin Online shut down.

After being away for over four years, the Aliens returned on June 25, 2024, opening with 17 attendees. Consequently, they immediately began rebuilding their place in the community. The comeback proved successful, as the army regained major status within a month and has remained a regular presence in the weekly Top Tens since.

Over the past year, the Aliens continually grew to establish themselves as one of the stronger armies in the community. Their biggest achievement came in 2025 when they triumphed in Around the World Cup II. Moreover, they also played an important role in supporting the Scarlet Republic against the Army of Club Penguin and the Water Vikings during a conflict earlier this year, further showing their strength on the battlefield.

After years away from the community, the Aliens have successfully rebuilt themselves and continue to be one of the most competitive armies active today.

The Sheriff comes to Town

Sheriff is well-known within both the Aliens and the wider army community. Although he only joined the community in June 2024, he quickly rose through the ranks through his dedication and commitment. As a result, he was invited to the army’s staff team in July of the same year. He went on to support Aliens in the tournaments it participated in.

Later, on April 7, 2025, he was appointed as an Admiral of the Aliens by co-founder and leader Bestpenguin, the army’s apex leadership position. However, after leading the Aliens through numerous battles and tournaments, Sheriff stepped down from leadership on January 4, 2026. Even so, his impact on the army remains significant, and his contributions will be remembered by many within the community. Additionally, he still remains connected to his army.

Following his resignation, Sheriff took on an advisory role within the Aliens. While no longer leading directly, he remains involved in helping the army grow and supporting its leadership team.

Club Penguin Armies reached out to Aliens advisor Sheriff to clear the questions that the army community might have.

What has it been like so far being an Advisor with the Aliens? Any favourite parts?

It’s been great to see Aliens from an advisory point of view, I’ve loved helping BP reform the way the staff team operates, giving him event ideas, and helping the leaders with the most difficult decisions.

When you became an advisor for Aliens, did anything impress or disappoint you?

Honestly, when I retired from leadership and became and advisor, I knew exactly how the Aliens worked, and I knew just how great the staff team worked together. Stepping out of leadership and into an advisor position gave me a bit more perspective on what was wrong with the army, and what advice I could give the team to fix it.

Do you have any current goals/ambitions in the army community?

I won’t intrude on the goals of the leaders, but I personally believe Aliens should still be as friendly as it’s always been known for, while also being an army that can firmly stand it’s ground when attacked by dishonest armies.

Lastly, do you have any advice you’d like to give to any aspiring troops or leaders?

Don’t be scared to step up and join a staff team, as long as you’ve got the right mindset, you can do it, because at first I didn’t think I could! <3

Experienced advisors often play a major role in an army’s development, using their knowledge and experience to guide newer generations. Sheriff has been one of those figures for the Aliens, providing support and leadership that has shaped the army over the years. Do you have any questions that you would like to ask Sheriff?
