Another 2007 army has returned, with Elitesof’s Fort Ghost Recon making a grand reentry. This time, FGR legend Shad has brought it back alongside former Scarlet Republic leader Ghostt.

History of Fort Ghost Recon
Fort Ghost Recon began its fifth-generation revival in early April 2026, with the first server messages appearing on April 3. Shad, a legend from the fourth generation and “great troop” from the army’s earlier eras, led the reopening alongside Ghostt, shortly after the Scarlet Republic closed.
Elitesof first launched the army in 2007. Unfortunately, much of FGR’s history from Generations 1 through 3 is lost due to the deletion of its early websites. FGR built a strong reputation during its fourth generation, which lasted from about April 2011 to May 2012. Fido1625 founded this generation and led this era notably alongside Shad, Coolster, and Elitesof.
Together, they built the army’s presence within the competitive scene, particularly through tournaments hosted by Small/Medium Army Central and Club Penguin Army Central. FGR delivered several notable performances, including a strong showing in Legends Cup II. They did not advance far, but their impressive first-round performance against the Water Vikings showed their skill and ability to generate a strong turnout in a competitive era for armies.

Beginning of a New Era
Shad announced the revival would begin on April 18, 2026. Exactly one week later, FGR shared a picture of their opening event, with a max of 10 in attendance. Since then, they have hosted several fun events and another recruiting event on New Club Penguin. This steady schedule shows their dedication to building an active community. So far, FGR seems willing to branch out across Club Penguin Private Servers, instead of relying on the community-favorite Club Penguin Journey alone. Launching on NewCP is a bold move, and time will tell whether it helps their recruiting and community efforts.
Club Penguin Armies reached out to Ghostt to request an interview; however, Ghostt informed CPA that FGR will not be answering interviews at this time.

Fort Ghost Recon looks ready to produce another well-known generation, potentially aiming to surpass the legendary efforts of the fourth generation. The revival is only the beginning, and they can draw on Elitesof’s own expertise to improve the army. How will FGR draw on their experience from the original Club Penguin era to improve themselves in the era of private servers? Will they bring forth a greater generation than any before in this new era of armies?
