DARK WARRIORS

The Dark Warriors went up against the Army of Club Penguin on December 14 in the Christmas Chaos XV, Eggnog bracket’s Quarter-Finals, following their victory against the Special Weapons and Tactics in the qualifiers on December 7. Despite losing to ACP, DW proved that they were a worthy Small/Medium as their performance led them to be able to compete in the S/M Grand Finals. DW is currently led by Subzero, Coolguy, Salah, and Midnight.

DW vs ACP – Casa Fiesta

Subzero is a veteran of the community, joining in 2010. He went on to lead the Pretzels. He returned to the community in January 2025, entering SWAT leadership. Since leaving SWAT, Subzero has led DW since its revival in July 2025.

Coolguy first joined armies in 2012 with his enlistment in the United Countries of CP. He made his way up the ranks to leadership, which carried on in other armies such as the Bacon Defenders in 2014, as well as the Coup Crusaders and SWAT in 2020. Upon his retirement from his three-year leadership in SWAT, Coolguy joined ACP, and upon his induction to leadership, he aided the army, being one of the leaders during their Legends Cup XIII victory. He was nominated for Army Legend in 2021 and 2022. Coolguy has also led DW since their recent revival.

Salah is an experienced member of the community, leading various armies in the past. He was inducted as a DW leader alongside Midnight in August 2025 following Holo2’s retirement.

Midnight is another veteran of the community who led the Penguin Defence Force, the Mercenaries, and the Dark Vikings in the past, most notably. He was also inducted as a DW leader with Salah in August 2025. The Dark Warriors have seen great success since their revival with these leaders, making it on the Top Ten Armies list many times.

TEMPLARS

The Templars last faced the Aliens in the Quarter-Finals after defeating the Shadow Legionnaires in the qualifying round. Even though they lost to the Aliens, the Knights put up a great fight and earned their spot in the S/M Grand Finals. They are currently led by Zez, Borapenguins, and Sidie9.

Templars vs Aliens – Forts

Zez has had experience leading before, having led the Phantom Republic in the past. He has been an active member of TCP’s community since 2021 and was promoted to Grand Prior in October 2025.

Borapenguins was a Void Troops staff member who left following their defacement in 2025. He joined TCP as a Staff-in-Training and rose through the ranks, becoming an integral part of the community. He was promoted alongside Zez to Grand Prior in October 2025.

Sidie9 joined the army community in 2010, enlisting in SWAT. Following this, she joined other S/M armies, including one she founded herself, the Army of Darkness. In 2012, she was recognized as an S/M Legend. After retiring from armies, Sidie would return in the CPPS era, enlisting in ACP. Soon after this, she would co-found the People’s Imperial Confederation. Then, in 2024, she joined the Templars as leader, where she would lead the army to the third round of Legends Cup XIV. After her retirement, she would be inducted into the TCP Hall of Fame. She returned to the Templars’ leadership in December of 2025.

The Templars have seen great success since the induction of these leaders, even returning to Major status recently.

ROMANS

The Romans battled the Rebel Penguin Federation most recently after their automatic win against PIC due to their shutdown right before the battle. Although they lost the battle, they are now able to redeem themselves in the S/M Grand Finals. They are currently led by Csani and Znation.

Romans vs RPF – Stadium

Csani first joined the community when he was recruited to the Redemption Force‘s failed revival in 2021. After he departed from that army, he joined the Templars and retired in 2023. He returned to armies when he enlisted in the Rebel Alliance Commando in late 2024 as a High Command member, which he retained upon their merger into SWAT. He joined the Frostguard Legion upon its creation, but when the army shutdown, he returned to the Templars. Following this, he joined the Romans and, due to his efforts was rose to the rank of leader.

Znation has a history in various armies, such as the Lime Green ArmyDark Vikings, and Penguins of Madagascar, as well as VT and TCP for a short period of time. Following this, he joined Romans and was promoted to leader following Lawless’ retirement.

The Romans have been working hard and doing well recently under this leadership.

MEET THE LEADERS

Club Penguin Armies spoke with leaders of each army about their thoughts and preparations for the grand finals.

How is your army preparing for the grand finals? Which area are you putting most of your army’s efforts into?

Subzero, Dark Warriors Leader: I wouldn’t say prep has changed however we understand this isn’t going to be easy, so we are pretty hyped already, just a matter of counting down the days for possibly one of the most historic moments in history for this generation of Dark Warriors.

Salah, Dark Warriors Leader: We’ve been preparing quite a bit for the finals. A lot of our focus has been on practice and making sure everyone is comfortable with what we’re doing. When the time comes, we’ll engage using what we’ve been working on.

Midnight, Dark Warriors Leader: We’re preparing for the grand finals how we usually do for any tournament battle. Host trainings, recruit, welcome new members, and bring attention to our battle. We’re putting effort into all areas.

Zez, Templars Leader: We have a Training for the Tournament on Friday, which will highlight all the details on what will happen in CC for the new troops. Mainly Speed, no afking, and forms

Borapenguins, Templars Leader: It’s hard to give a clear answer when there’s a lot that goes into battle preparation. The main thing is building unity within troops & staff. If we’re all on the same page, it’ll be very difficult for our opponents to defeat us.

Csani, Romans Leader: We have been focusing on growing our sizes and mentoring new recruits. We have been working as much as we could and I believe it has been going smoothly.

Znation, Romans Leader: Me and my army have been working hard to prepare for cc. Even since I got wind of cc finals for s/m armies, I’ve done everything in my power to help increase our probability of winning cc and it has been going pretty well. I’m putting most of my armies efforts in recruiting and mentoring new troops as they are the pinnacle of every army.

Has your preparation changed based on your opponents and the battle being a 3-way battle? If so, how?

Subzero, Dark Warriors Leader: Bumping up our server activity and engagement has been one of the forms of preparation for us over at DW.

Salah, Dark Warriors Leader: I’d say regardless of the number of opponents in the finals, what matters most is coordination and focusing on making ourselves the best we can be going into the finals.

Midnight, Dark Warriors Leader: Yes, our preparation has changed based on opponents. I expect Templars to be larger than us and we will have to deal with that. I don’t think we’re too worried about a 3 way battle. There is an additional army to consider compared to a normal battle but I don’t think it will be too different.

Zez, Templars Leader: We are mainly focused on Dark Warriors for this battle, our preparations have not changed.

Borapenguins, Templars Leader: My preparation has changed on the basis of being a newer leader. Not to say I wasn’t focused before but I believe that a trophy being on the line has made me zero in on any imperfections there are to my game.

Csani, Romans Leader: No, I dont think so. A 3-way battle shouldnt be a problem. Though I didnt expect TCP to gain back their major status so we have to prepare extra hard!

Znation, Romans Leader: Romans and templars don’t exactly have the best history with each other which has helped make us more determined to emerge victories for cc. Dark warriors and Romans also have a neutral relation. Our preparation hasn’t changed on the course of it being a 3 way battle as Romans emerge victories

If you win the Christmas Chaos S/M finals, what will be your next steps and/or goals following the tournament?

Subzero, Dark Warriors Leader: We don’t tend to rush things so with that being said I couldn’t give you an accurate answer however there may be something in the works that will change the course of history for not only DW’s future but also the rest of the communities. Let’s wait and see.

Salah, Dark Warriors Leader: Christmas Chaos holds a special place in DW’s heart. Winning the S/M finals would be a meaningful achievement for us and a trophy that further motivates us to keep growing stronger and push toward winning more trophies in the future, including major ones.

Midnight, Dark Warriors Leader: Host a celebration event then aim for major.

Zez, Templars Leader: We will of course celebrate, as it is a great way to start off the new year for Templars. We will continue growing for the next tournament, and we will bring more to show.

Borapenguins, Templars Leader: The goal has always been to win. The problem with winning is that it causes a dopamine rush, and frankly that triggers an odd sense of grand achievement. This is a trap we shall not fall into. In the real world, nobody cares until you can do it again. I want to keep the ball pushing. I will not let my army become complacent after one victory. I want to continue winning.

Csani, Romans Leader: Winning the finals would be a huge morale boost for the army, getting everyone more determined to grow this army. Furthermore we would start implementing more fun and engaging events in hopes of bringing our whole community closer.

Znation, Romans Leader: If we were to win cc (which we will) my next steps for the army will be to help build it from within and engage activity and make it a fun place for everyone. This win will also solidify our place amongst other armies and our goals will be to build and prepare for other tourneys for the future.

All 3 armies have been preparing heavily for this battle, and it’s sure to be an exciting one. Soon, we’ll see who comes out on top of the S/M bracket. Who do you think will be the S/M Christmas Chaos Champion?
