Dawnables, better known as Dawn, was once again crowned the Grand Prior of the Knights, now ruling over the Templars. After their recent defeat at the hands of the Void Troops, Dawn’s return has ignited a powerful resurgence of hope and morale within the Templar ranks.

RISE TO Power

Dawn joined the army community in 2019. In her early years, she served as a member of staff for many armies, such as Lime Green Army, Help Force, and the Army of Club Penguin.  She retired from armies in 2020 for several years. Later, she returned in the summer of 2022, beginning her journey in the Templars.

In less than a year after joining, Dawn stepped up to Grand Prior in November 2022, showing great promise as the Templars continued to dominate. They held the number 1 spot on the Top Ten for forty-nine consecutive weeks, smashing the previous record set by the Rebel Penguin Federation.

Templar creator and Major Army Legend Xing retired on January 6, 2023. Following Xing’s retirement, the Templars started to show signs of decline in their performance, dropping to Small/Medium status on June 4, 2023. Despite the difficulties that came with leading an army of this size, especially in times of hardship, Dawn took charge. She led the Knights, stabilizing the army and setting it back on track to grow to its original strength. Under her leadership, the Templars regained their Major army status just 2 months later. The next year, Dawn ascended to Empress in September, reviving the original Templar leadership structure.

Under her leadership tenure, the knights took part in several wars, notably the Divine Defense War against the Water Vikings in April 2024 and the Unholy Heretics War against the Elite Guardians in May 2024. The Knights also performed well in tournaments such as March Madness VIII and Legends Cup XIII, placing as Semi-Finalists and Quarter-Finalists, respectively. In the Summer of 2024, Dawn quietly retired without an announcement or event.

On August 2, 2025, the Void Troops declared the War of the Divine Reckoning against the Templars, breaking their alliance. The war was devastating for the Knights, with a final war score of 15-0-1 in favor of VT. Facing such a loss, the Templars were forced to rebuild.

On August 13, 2025, Dawn quietly rose to the role of Grand Prior, without a formal announcement or induction event. Given her past experience, Dawn is nothing short of a seasoned Templars veteran. Her addition to the leadership is a key strategic move to continue rebuilding the Templars’ nation.

Club Penguin Armies was able to approach Dawn to grasp her ideas and plans for the army’s future.

How do you feel about leading the Templars once again? Why did you decide to return? 

I feel good about leading Templars with my co-leaders. This army has always been my home and I’ve stuck around in the behind the scenes during my time in the retirement home. I decided to come back to help Templars remain stable and because I have a free schedule at college that allows me to be here for CPA.

What are your short and long term plans moving forward as Grand Prior?

Short term I hope to see the army revitalize itself and take strides into becoming stronger at it’s core. Long term, I am here to facilitate the next generation of Templars leaders, as i did last time, so my goal is to train our troops to take the mantle from the current leadership when the time is right. Furthermore, I hope that Templars can be successful in future war endeavors that we plan out, as our current focus is the army itself.

From your experiences as a leader, what are the most crucial qualities for becoming a successful leader?

To me it is important that a leader is confident in every situation they encounter. Troops look to the most confident leader and the one that makes the most definite decisions. It’s also important to have control over not only emotions but situations by de escalating them. Overall, it’s just important to take care of the troops and make sure you are a safe and stable person for them to come to.

What’s your advice for aspiring leaders?

If you want to become a leader then apply yourself in recruiting and registering. Those 2 things are nice, but the second part of the challenge is retention. Become friends with troops and let them come to you for solutions and over time you’ll become a better leader. Gaining the trust of your core army is the most important thing a leader can do.

It seems that Dawn is determined to ensure that greatness prevails over the Knights. We wish her and the Templars the very best in all of their future endeavors and look forward to their journey beyond. What do you think she will accomplish? Will anyone else be returning to the Army?
