Project Conquest: Blood Bowl Winner Predictions

With Project Conquest: Blood Bowl on the horizon, a great sense of anticipation is going around the community. Let’s find out just who the community members expect the competition’s winner to be.

Blood Bowl, a concept based on the original Project: Conquest, started today and will go through Saturday, October 26. It is a unique concept, adding increased strategy to the invasion/defense system we are all used to. The first, and most recent, version of this competition took place in 2021. That year, after a series of controversial moments and tense battles, the Army of Club Penguin took home the trophy. In addition, armies, such as the Water Vikings and the Templars also took part in the original Project Conquest, getting seventh and eighth position respectively.

On the one hand, this means that ACP is the defending champion of Project Conquest, putting great pressure on them to win. On the other, armies new to the competition will aim to take the championship and go home with the trophy. Additionally, both the Templars and WV – since they were on the lower side of the podium last time – will be aiming to redeem themselves.

This essentially means that all participating armies have an incentive to take home the trophy. Consequently, there is a variety of differing expectations from the army community on who may take the trophy home.

This year, alongside the winner, there will additionally be a winner for the “Last S/M Army Standing”.

Club Penguin Armies contacted six community members, who are not participating, to see what they think the outcome of this competition will be.

Who do you think will take home the trophy at the end of the month?

Saber, CPA Moderator: i think ACP will win because they have a large amount of experience in wars and have good practice in land invasions!!! they’re a very stable army who have a lot of dedicated members who could easily push them towards a win.

Steve, VPF Leader: HF is probably going to win. HF has been maxed the highest for 3 in of the 4 weeks out of the rest of the participating armies in September

Link3000, RPF Leader: ACP has been one of the strongest armies for a while now, they’ve just won a major war and celebrated their anniversary with incredible turnouts despite part of it being their allies and fellow CPA members. They have the hype of all those recent events going for them and their war against EGCP gave them some good experience.

32op, Army Legend: Secret Service. SS is an upcoming army with a lot to prove to the community. With veteran armies like ACP and HF competing, it’s going to be challenging for them but I believe SS has the potential to make a strong impact and win the tournament.

MtJordan, Senior Reporter: Fresh off their recent Legends Cup triumph and with strong campaigns against the Templars and People’s Imperial Confederation, Help Force is a strong competitor. Another fierce competitor is ACP. They have shown their dominance for the past month and don’t appear to be backing down so soon. Both of these armies are great, but in my opinion I feel like with the consistency of Help Force, they can probably win.

Other than the main championship, who do you think the last standing small-medium army will be?

SaberWater Vikings will probably be the strongest s/m army, solely due to their experiences being major. hopefully the winged hussars can surprise us though!!

Steve: Water Vikingsfor pretty much the same thing as HF.

Link3000: Despite Water Vikings falling down to S/M and evidently struggling in the past few weeks, they still have a strong presence of veterans and loyal troops who at the end of the day are more likely to attend their tournaments/wars than their regular events. And even without them, they are up to part with the rest of the S/M armies with more battle experience.

32op: SWAT. SWAT has a great position on the map and I believe they will surprise a lot of people in this tournament.

MtJordan: I predict that the Winged Hussars will be the final force standing among the small-medium armies. Their leadership is adept at managing the dynamics of invasions, and they have demonstrated their capability in the past. They also possess a knack for strategic positioning, which is essential in a map-based tournament.

In terms of the overall competition victor, there is a great variety of opinions. Many believe that the defending champions, ACP will be able to take the trophy home. Others believe that the Help Force has a great chance of winning. Some also have faith that the underdogs, SS, will emerge victorious in their second-ever tournament of this new generation. In the small-medium arena, however, there seems to be a consensus on who will be the last standing. There is great support behind the Water Vikings, due to their experiences in being major and having loyal veterans and troops. There is, however, a modicum of support for other armies. What do YOU think?  Do you agree with the predictions? Who will emerge victorious at the end of the month? Which small/medium army will be the last one standing?
